Some of my favorite films are the secret life of bees, pride and predjudice, bourne ultimatum, rent and practical magic. These films are my favorite because they are so different than the life i am living. These movies are all very different from each other too which gives me different perspectives on different situations that other people(in sometimes other realities) go through and deal with their problems. i also enjoy the mystery that each one holds the protagonists in almost every movie keep things interesting by being spontaneous and not afraid of the little things that i am sometimes afraid of. They power through their problems and move forward through the bad. I care for these characters because they allow you into their thoughts and you see how they react to things which makes you care about them and what happens to them. Some things that happen to the protangonist(s) in these films are falling in love with a person they dont think they should, running for their life even though they have no real idea who they are, fighting off the bad that seems to keep finding them. They deal with death in the forms of suicide and murder, they battle through disease, drugs, poverty, abuse, and so many more things that i thankfully have had to deal little with or no at all in my life. I like the settings of a lot of these films mainly cause it isn't happening here in Brandon. They let me go somewhere else for a little while and explore somewhere new, whether it is two states away of across an ocean it takes me to a place i have never been. i also love the plots of these movies because it gives me a new outlook on life. these movies ahve made me laugh, cry, hold my breath, jump around in my seat; they make me feel so happy to be who i am, where i am, and with the people i am. these films are memorable to me cause they are films that have truely made me think about my life. they make me happy to be surrounded by people i love. they have showed me how foortunate i am to have such great parents. they have showed me how important life truely is and how good health is the biggest blessing you could ever ask for. they are memorable cause they gave me the knowledge of knowing how important knowledge is.

Some of my favorite films are pearl harbor, the longest yard and scooby doo. I like pearl harbor because it is a great example of what people experienced on December 7th 1941 and shows how it angered the people who survived were with the japanese and how more people than were expected enlisted in the army to avenge their fallen comrades that died on this tragic day. It also shows how some people can show their true abilities in a time of turmoil. That is one of the things that makes Dory Miller one of the favorite characters in the movie, mostly because he was the one character in the movie that was actually part of the original attack on Pearl Harbor. I liked the longest yard because it shows qualities that appeal to a large audience of different races. It shows forgiveness, brotherhood, and it stands out against racism and shows how a tragic death can make people work together well. I also think that Adam Sandler gave one of the most inspirational performances of his career and next to the original paul crewe, burt reynolds he was an awesome choice for the role. Along with being a great movie, it shows how rough it can be in a prison and how it is wrong to drink and drive and it usually does not have as good of an outcome as it did in the movie. I like scooby doo because it is so absurd that it makes it a great comedy although it gives a different idea of what the characters in the movie are like and how they are gross at some points and make some sexual jokes throughout the movie that most people do not catch because they are younger and more naive. On the other hand older kids start to pick out stuff they didnt catch before .

Some of my favorite movies include, _Seven Pounds_and_The Notebook_. _Seven Pounds_ is one of my favorite films because it has a plot line in which the events could actually occur. In the movie Will Smith steals his brother's IRS license in order to find people he can help more easily. He finds a woman named Emily Posa and he realizes that he wants to help her, but the only thing he has left in his own body to give to her that he hasn't dontated to other people already, is his heart. That is all he has to offer her, literally and emotionally. Just the fact that he felt so bad about the accident he caused and how he will do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING to try and do his part is just so inspiring and amazing. There is a scence in the movie in which Will Smith is going out to his car to grab a gift for Emily, only to have his brother confront him about stealing his IRS credentials. Then when Smith returns to Emily, he stammers out and excuse about how it's late and that he has to leave. Thats when emily just starts kissing him solftly, and caringly and you see one tear roll down his face...that part absolutely gets to me!! You know he doesn't want to leave. He is just so torn with wanting to do the right thing, and being in love with this girl..it is amazing. In the end of the movie Smith gives Emily the girft of life, the gift of a second chance. His heart is living and beating inside of her. And she gets to look through Smith's eyes again through the body of Ezra, whom was previously blind but was given Smith's eyes. It is the perfect movie.
_The Notebook_ is also another one of my favorite movies. It is about a boy and a girl, Noah and Ally, and their summer of love together. They meet at a fair, and at first Ally isn't exactly digging Noah, but eventually he wins her over and they fall MADLY in love. They spend everyday together, and those days are the best days in every way. One night Noah takes Ally to and old abandonded plantation, where Noah proceeds to tell Ally how is dream is to fix it up one day as his own, and he asks her what she wants built into the house. She says she wants a white house, with blue shutters, and a porch that wraps all the way around the house, and lastly a room for her paints. When the two go into the plantation, things get pretty hot and heavy. But all of a sudden Noah's friend barges in and tells them that Ally's parents have been looking for her all night-Ally and Noah break up-Ally leaves the next day...
Noah writes Ally everyday for a year, but never gets a response. He builds his dream house, just like Ally wanted it. Then one day Ally sees a photo of Noah and the house in the paper, and faints. She tells her new fiance that she has some unfinished business back in her summer town. She goes back only to fall in love all over again with Noah. This is a story of how true love waits, and how there is no time limit on it. Their love wasn't ever over, just put on hold. When you see those two kiss for the first time in seven years..it is the most passionate, wanting, loving kiss EVER. It is literally seven years worth of kissing put into one kiss. And that kiss seals the deal for forever.

Some of my favorite films are The Blindside, The Ugly Truth, and Remember the Titans. The Blindside is one of my favorite movies because it shows how doing something nice for somebody in need can really affect them and can even improve their life not only now, but in the future also, even if you do not know it at the time. I think what makes you care about the main character is that he is poor and struggling in school and you really want him to succeed in life and in school. Another thing that makes you care about the main character of this movie is that because he is so big, people think he is going to be great at football, but in the beginning he really is not that good at football. As the film goes on you get to watch him progress and become a highly recruited football player. Another thing that this movie addresses is how when the family who is a wealthy, southern, and white takes in a poor, black boy, their friends think that the only reason they take him in is as a charity case. This movie in some parts even makes you want to cry, like when the mother takes the new kid back to his old home to get some clothes and she sees what kind of life he had been living. It also makes you want to laugh with some of the lines.
The Ugly Truth is one of my favorite movies because it was entertaining and it also showed the difference of how men think vs. how women think. This movie made me laugh because it showed how two people who were so set in their ways that they couldn’t find love, made a bet that the man could help the woman find love by using his techniques. I think what makes you care about the main character is that you want her to find true love in the end. Even though the end was kind of predictable it was still an entertaining movie.
I enjoyed the movie Remember the Titans because it shows how life was back when segregation was still a normal part of life for people. It shows how people were not willing to take the time to become introduced to a person because of their color. The plot of Remember the Titans is great because it shows how even though at first the boys did not want to come together as a team because of their color. In the end they come together and have a great football season. In this movie you can also relate to the characters and the events that happen in it. This movie shows how in one moment your life can go from being a big time football star to being in a wheelchair. This movie also shows how a team that was once segregated, but came together to have a great season, made a segregated town come together to support them.

Some of my favorite movies include "Avatar", the "Star Wars" saga, the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy. My favorite aspect of these films includes visiting a new world with endless possibilities. The viewer gets a chance to escape from reality and, for a few hours, can wield a lightsaber, swashbuckle with pirates, fight off an invading human army, or embark on a quest to destroy the One Ring. These movies entertain and inspire me with the fictional characteristics that they possess; I leave the movie theater wondering, "What if I lived on Pandora, Middle Earth, Tatooine, etc.?" Also, I enjoy movies about war, battle, conflict, and tension. Besides, what would be the point of making/watching movies if there was no conflict?

These movies also center around a 'man vs. self' format. In "Avatar", Jake Sully, the main character, has to decide whether or not to help the Na'vi alien race, or to stay loyal to his original background, the human military. Jake, like many movie viewers, feels like his life is boring and lacking excitement. He is physically handicapped, moving himself from place to place via wheelchair. He is limited to what he can to in his human body. Yet when he becomes mentally linked to his avatar, he can walk, sprint, jump, and do a plethora of things he will never be able to do again in his human form. From Jake's mindset, why would he want to be a human, when his boundaries are limitless as a Na'vi? Most of the movie revolves around his internal struggle for which side is right, just, and overall acceptable to fight on.

Similarly, in SW III, Anakin Skywalker's struggle affects not only a planet, but an entire GALAXY. Anakin has premonitions that his wife, Padme, will die soon. He becomes influenced by the evil Emperor Palpatine to join the dark side, due to Palpatine's false promise to save Anakin's dying wife. Ironically enough, Skywalker's transfer to the dark side is what leads to his wife's death; if Anakin had only stayed the course (which would not have made an exciting movie), his wife would have stayed alive, and the galaxy would have remained stable, for the most part. For the first half of the movie, the viewer gets to see Anakin's internal struggle, and where either decision will lead.

In "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, Frodo Baggins, a Hobbit from a region in Middle Earth known as 'the Shire', debates with himself whether or not to destroy the One Ring. LOTR mainly focuses on the greed within one self more than other trilogies; whoever bears this ring loses the willpower to dispose of its great evil and attempts to keeps its power for them self.

In "The Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy, Jack Sparrow is the main character. Throughout the trilogy, he continually changes his loyalty from his friend, Will Turner, to Will's fiance, Elizabeth Swan, to his arch-nemesis, Davy Jones, to the British army. For the most part, Jack's loyalty wavers to whatever/whoever is in his best interest at the time. Sparrow's unpredictable personality keeps the viewer surprised and intrigued throughout the trilogy, a clever move on the writer's part.

I care about these characters because so much revolves around them; so much is at stake (regarding a single decision). These films are memorable to me because I grew up watching them multiple times. Additionally, I can analyze these films thoroughly and clearly, yet I can still enjoy talking/writing about them at the same time. I can think hard and have fun, simultaneously.

Movies are an everyday experience. Movies help people see what they are not, and who they want to be. Even just picking a movie to see describes who the person is and what they like. One of my favorite movies is Never Back Down. Jake Tyler is the main character of this movie. With living in South Dakota I can relate to Jake because he is from Iowa. He grew up in a small city but is the top dog at his school. His temper flares with the slightest suggestions which cause him problems. To this he moves to Orlando, this happens to families all over; so one can see how it feels for these families. At his new school he is an outcast but finds in with martial arts. The top dog at this school is Ryan McCarthy; who fight professionally and wins every time. Ryan purposely fights everyone to show that he is on top. These two clashes, with this it causes the plot. Ryan pushes Jake to the limit. Even though Jake does not want to fight he is forced to because Ryan hurts the people he is most close to. In the end Jake beats Ryan in the intense fight and now is respected among everyone. This is one of my favorite movies because the struggles with Jake show me that everyone goes through this and finding a way to over come this torturous feeling in side of you is just part of life.
Another favorite movie of mine is She’s the Man. Viola is a girl soccer player, but when her team gets cut at her school she realizes she needs to take this in her hands. Viola changes to the rivalry school, and becomes a male. She changes to a male because women do not get the same respect as women in soccer. Though out she runs into problems, like how she falls in love with the team captain. This is a problem because Duke (captain) likes another girl Olivia, but Olivia likes Viola. Through out the movie Viola keeps her identity until the end, the big game comes and she is still a male. But when Duke is furious with her she can not take it any more and shows everyone. The team still accepts her even though she is a women, Duke though does not. Viola shows how much she cares about him and invites him to a ball where of course they make up, now they are happy together and are on the same team. To see what Viola goes through just for soccer truly shows how much she loves this sport. I love this movie because through anything if you truly love what you do you can go through anything and still come out on top.

Some of my favorite films are Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Glitter, Selena, and Odd Girl Out. These films include a variety of different things. Odd Girl Out is a film staring Alexa Vega and its interesting because is shows the life of a girl who was "popular" and for no apparent reason she is shunned by her popular friends. They start saying things like, "she is so fat" or, " did you see her hair?" Not to mention they start a website called " Hate Vanessa." From all of this criticism she starts overdosing and she cuts her hair and at one point she ends up in the hospital because of her overdosing. Finally in the end she gets up the courage to tell off the girls who are treating her horribly and learns to not care what they think about her and know that she is beautiful just the way she is. Someting just tells me that I relate to that girl alot.

Selena I like this movie because Jennifer Lopez stars in it. I like her for the role of Selena she fits it well and she speaks spanish. I care about her alot even though I was only 3 years old when she passed away. I was actually introduced to her through a family friend. I think she had a great career and life going for her just newly married and planning parenthood. I also liked the fact that the whole movie was filmed in her home state of Texas and that Jennifer was hand picked by Selena's father for the role. She was murdered by her fan club president Yolanda Saldivar because she was trying to recover missing money and records that were mysteriously vanishing. How anyone could kill somebody and be so selfless is beyond me and totally childish.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles, This movie is down right hilarious. Steve Martin and John Candy star in this movie. I love how Steve tries everything to get home for thanksgiving and just fails miserably and can't seem to get away from John to save his life. I like the way the camera focuses on their emotions and how they get angry with one another it makes me very happy. I care about the characters because I've seen them in numerous other films and they are great actors. I feel bad for Steve Martin because he keeps getting screwed everytime he tries to get home to his family. At the same time I can also laugh at him and make fun of him he doesn't always use his brain.

My final favorite movie I enjoy is Glitter starring Mariah Carey of course. She is aspiring to become a singer after she was taken from her mother who nearly burned down their beautiful house. Mariah is Billie who meets up with Dice Who is a DJ that helps her become a huge star. They eventually start dating and he gets a little jealous of the men that look at her. He makes a bad deal with another company and he doesn't pay that compant their money. The owner comes over and threatens Billie and tells her her boyfriend better pay up or he would hurt her. She and Dice get into an argument about the situation and he runs off. Billie has made her first album and is preparing for her first sold out concert. Getting ready in her dressing room they get a tip about a shooting that had taken place and they flip on the TV and see that Dice had been shot and killed he was trying to defend Billie. She cried a little and went on with her concert. Afterward she found a note and flowers from Dice before his death and it said they had found her mother and she could be reunited with her and live out her dream. She quoted in the movie. "Never take anybody for granted cuz you never know when you might lose them". I love this movie because it's kind of about her life in some matter and she got to live her dream and is still living it out today. I can relate to Mariah alot as well. I've loved her since I was a little girl and she is my hero.

Some of my favorite movies include the Note Book, Avatar,Coyote Ugly, and others. All of these movies fall into different categories but yet they all enteratin me just the same. These movies are way different from my life which might be why they entertain me. The Note Book appeals to me because i am a girl and what girl doesn't enjoy a good love story? Every girl dreams of that perfect guy and the perfect relationship. I also can connect personally to this movie because the main character suffurs from alzheimers. I grew up watching my grandfather suffer from alzheimers. So I can connect to the main characters on a more personal level. The movie the Avatar was litterally out of this world. I believe I enjoyed this movie because it is an action packed, breath taking movie. I loved how they drew a parrellel between the native americans and the avatar people. The movie was made with bright colors, which always attracts my attention since I am a more visual person. The movie Coyote Ugly is one of my top favorite movies because it is a story about how people can change no matter where they come from and what they have been through. I have always believed this statement and it is so true. All moveis are made to tell stories. Some of them are sad stories, like the Note Book, fantasies, like Avatar, and other movies are happy and inspiring like Coyote Ugly. However there are movies out there that do affect the world negatively by making you wish that you where like the heros, they make you feel less about yourself. I choose to not watch the movies that will affect me negatively. I choose to watch the movies that are entertaining yet inspiring.

Two of my all time favorite movies are How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and The Hangover. They are very different from each other but I like them for many different reasons. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a romantic comedy and it pretty much follows the “boy meets girl and falls for girl” type of movie, but it has a twist being that they are both in the relationship to better their career, yet neither one knows about the others plans. There is a ton of comedy in the movie and it still has a cute ending. I can’t say I can really relate to what the characters are actually doing but I know that all women, including me, have acted in some of the ways that the main character acts at some point in their dating lives. There is not anything particularly deep about this movie, it is more about entertainment and it is lighthearted. You just feel happier after watching this movie, not weirded out or scared like some movies. These characters live in New York City, which to us in Brandon, is very new and different. The setting attracts you to the movie because NYC is such a big city and has so much going on at one time.

The Hangover is on the raunchier side of comedy. Four guys go to Vegas for a bachelor party and hope for a night “they’ll never forget”. That line is ironic because they can’t remember any of it. The actors were awesome at playing their characters, and they made it really easy to like the characters and feel for them. It’s pretty easy to see someone you know in each of the characters: the handsome hunk, the nice guy who can’t stick up for himself, the funny but awkward “fat Jesus”, and the poor guy just going alone with his friends for a good bachelor party. The sound track for this movie is also incredible. It makes you want to get up and go to Vegas with those guys. Even thought this movie is rated R, I liked that it wasn’t just a movie full of naked women. It definitely should’ve been rated R but it’s more about the jokes and the things that they say, not just what you see.

Some of my favorite films are Blacksheep, Tommy Boy, Gran Torino, Rambo, and Rocky. All these movies fall under different categories but i like to watch all different kinds of movies it all depends on what type of mood i am in Tommy Boy and Blacksheep both star Chris Farley a hilarious actor who i could watch his movies over and over again just cause they can never get old cause the stuff he does in them are always funny as when in Tommy Boy he is walking in the brake pad factory with his dad and the bankers there talking about wearing hard hats and tommy doesnt have his on yet and runs head first into a pallet and yells everytime i watch that it makes me laugh. Gran Torino with clint eastwood is another great movie cause it looks at what has happened through out the years of america and how stuff is changing and the older generation does not like it. But in the end clint eastwoods character overcomes his difference with the people and becomes friends with them cause he finds out they are good people and he eventully ends up losing his life for the good of his neighbors which creates a spot in your heart for things like that done. these films are memorable to me cause all of this stuff can really happen maybe not a bird pooping on a rock in blacksheep but it adds to the hilarity in the movie and makes it much more funnier making you as the viewer more entertained and waiting for what is going to happen next. But in Grand Torino He risks his own life to save the lives of others and to keep them safe from the violence in and around there city by getting these gang members locked up and put away. The Rambo movies i enjoy cause they go through what is happening through the world and what had happened as in the first rambo he comes home from vietnam and the sherrif does not like him so drives him to the edge of town and tells him to get out but rambo walks back into town and the trouble begins its just full of action and takes you out of the norm and puts you into a different type of world where he can make stuff out of nothing and still survive. All movies are different but i can enjoy any type of movie cause they are all interesting.

Two of my favorite movies are A Cinderella Story and The Perfect Man.

A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray is my all time favorite movie. I could watch it over and over again and never get bored of it.Hilary Duff's character's father marries Fiona who has two bratty step daughters. Her dad dies in an earthquake and she is forced to live with Fiona and her daughters and do everything they tell her to do. She meets someone on the computer and they talk without knowing that they go to eachother's school. They decide to meet center floor at the dance but Hilary's Character never takes off her mask so he never finds out who it is. Eventually the sisters rat her out and Chad finds out its Hilary and she is embarrased and thinks he wont like her. Chad has his biggest football game of the season and they are losing. The fans are chanting his name and Hilary cant take it so she goes to leave. Chad see's her leaving and leaves the game and runs up and kisses Hilary. It is the best movie ever and it is every girls dream to have someone that likes them that much.

The Perfect Man is another movie with Hilary Duff in it. She lives with her mother and little sister and her mom has a hard time finding love. Everytime she thinks she has found it, it ends up going bad and they move so she doesnt have to see that man again. Hilary gets sick of it and makes up a guy on the computer. She lies so much about it to her mom and makes her mom believe it so much that the lies get tangled and her mom ends up finding out that he is made up.

Some of my favorite movies include: Transformers, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and 300. I enjoy watching these movies because they are action filled and still remain to be funny. Transformers one and two are my awesome because these robots are very large and have many guns and explosives that I wish that I could be able to the kind of things that they could do. I also enjoy these movies because Megan Fox is a very attractive individual; also the humor in these movies is very different than other movies. They tie humor into the fact that they are robots, they use stereotypes and cool puns to make many jokes through-out the movies.
I enjoy watching X-Men Origins: Wolverine because in the movie they use different ways to escape, awesome blades, irony, motorcycles, and magic in this film. I want to be like the mutants in this movie because my life tends to be boring and un-magical, I also want to be different than I already am. I also enjoyed learning the history behind Wolverine who was revealed in the first movies. They implicate history throughout the movie and I enjoy history a lot. They have a scene where Wolverine and his brother are in World War One and World War Two and many other wars. This film also plays on your feeling a little bit because Wolverine falls in love and believes that the woman that he loves is killed.
The film 300 is a film that I enjoy because it is very brutal and gory. The men in this film are also very ripped and powerful and can kill hundreds at a time. These men are the men that I would like to be like. I don’t want to be a puny little high school punk; I want to be ripped like these guys. I also enjoy the battles and the irony in the film.

Two of my favorite films are Taken and The Blindside. Taken is one of my favorite films because it is suspenseful and scary to think about what may happen to you if you go to a different country. It makes you think twice about going out of the country. I can relate to the main character in the story because she is a young innocent girl (Kim) traveling to Paris with one of her girlfriends, when she was taken and caught up in a human trafficking nightmare. At first her father told her not to go because he knows what could happen to her because he use to be a CIA operative, but then after some mutual agreements he decides to let her go. What he does not know until he gets to the airport is that she is not just going to Paris she is also going to tour other parts of the country. When Kim and her friend get off the plane they take a taxi with another stranger and he invites them to a party and the girlfriend gives the stranger the address that they are staying at. A short while after they got up to the apartment Kim gets a call from her dad and goes into a quieter place across the hall where she then sees these strangers in black taking her friend. She tells her dad what is happening and he tells her exactly what to do in this situation and what will happen to her. He says that she will be taken and that she needs to set down her phone and shout out everything she sees about them. She did everything correctly but now her dad has to try to do everything he can to find her. If you have not seen this movie you will have to because I do not want to spoil the ending. But I do care about the main character because I want her dad to be able to find her and to bring her back home safely. I will never forget this film because it scared me to think that I could have been that one taken.

The Blindside is another one of my favorite movies because it shows that if you do something nice for someone in need it could possibly change their life forever as well as yours. That is just what the Touhy family did for Michael Oher. They found him walking the streets in the freezing cold and asked him if he had a place to stay tonight and he said he did, but Leigh Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) knew that that was a lie and told him to get in the car and he could stay at their place for the night. Well a night turned into a permanent stay. When Leigh gave Michael his own room to stay in, it was sad to hear that Michael had never had a bed of his own to sleep in. Leigh and Michael had only ever known the world that they lived in until they met each other and changed each other’s lives. It was hard for Michael to overcome all the challenges that came with being an African-American going to a school that was mostly Caucasian and high society. He also had to learn how to read and bring his grades up so he could play football. When Michael started playing football he did not understand what the coaches were telling him to do. So at practice Leigh told him what to do in a way that he would understand. She told him that his team is his family and that you have to protect their blind side. I care about Michael Oher because I want to see him succeed in life, school and in football. In the end Michael becomes a highly recruited football player.

My favorite films consist of In Her Shoes, The Blind Side, Taken, Orphan, Seven Pounds and New Moon. These films get my attention because they take me away from my life for awhile. They can make me feel humble when you see the characters struggling. It makes you want to help them or take action in real life. I feel afraid when I know what is around the corner but the man walking to his death does not. It makes me aware of the real psychotic people in life and that Brandon is like a small sanctuary compared to the dangers in the real world. These films inspire me to reach out to others, even if it is in a small way. Any effort you make does not go unnoticed or unappreciated by others. Some, like New Moon, bring my favorite books to life. We get to see how characters may look and how grand a landscape can really be. But the book is usually always better than the movie! Some movies leave out too many scenes or change too much of the dialog and that reflects poorly on the book for people that have not read it. I do not always understand everything about the movie I am watching right away and that is what makes me like it so much; they do not just give everything away. I can also strongly relate parts of the movies to events in my life. It gives me an example of how situations can be played out; I am aware that they work out better in movies than in real life though.

Some of my favorite films include How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Never Been Kissed, A Knight’s Tale, Ever After, and 10 Things I Hate about You. They are my favorite because they all contain a love story and a happy ending. Even though I love all of those movies I would have to say my most favorite movie is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. It is a funny romantic story that keeps your attention the entire time. Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey make this movie excellent, because they are such great actors. You can relate to them because they act like normal people.

Hudson’s character Andie Anderson simply writes the “How To” stories for a magazine called “Composure” and has a rude controlling boss. I can relate to her personally because we have the same interests she is a journalist and I am going to college for broadcast journalism. She is bored with her work and wishes she could write more about important things, such as politics, economics, religion, poverty, and so on. But her boss makes her write the article “How to Lose a Guy in 10 days.” Andie tells her boss that, to write more freely and creatively, she will date a man and do all the wrong things women tend to do in relationships, and record her experiences for the article. Other people can relate because they have jobs where their boss is always telling them what to do, or in her case what to write about. Also women can relate because they do the “wrong” things in relationships or date the “wrong” men. It is a funny movie because is makes fun of what some women do on a day-to-day basis.

McConaughey’s character Benjamin Barry is an advertising executive and ladies' man. Women who have had a ladies’ man in their life like Barry can relate to past boy friends or ex husbands who are players. He tells his boss that he can make any woman fall in love with him in just ten days. To prove it he tries to find a woman and bring her to the upcoming company ball as his date. The bet says if he succeeds he gets to be in charge of the advertising for the new diamond company account. Many men can relate to this movie because they bet their friends they can get girls also.

The best part of this movie is that the characters are doing the opposite. Hence opposites attrack. Andie is trying to drive him away and he is trying to keep her close. They are both playing a game with eachother’s feelings and changing who they really are just for a bet or an article. It is sad that people in real life do it all the time and screw with other people’s feelings for things that are good for them. However, I care about these characters because of the way the movie is set up. You see both sides of the character’s lives. You see that both characters start to care about the other but won’t admit it. The plot makes you think about your actions and realize you shouldn’t change yourself to make people like you, or in Andie’s case, hate you. Because sometimes doing the wrong thing can lead to the right thing. It shows that even the most obnoxious women or men find their significant other because maybe the “wrong” thing to one person is the “right” thing for another.

This film is memorable to me because it makes me want to have a life like her. I think it would be fun to be Andie Anderson, by having a super sexy man, Matthew McConaughey, chase you on his motorcycle because he loves you even when you were trying to drive him away and did awful things to him. Who wouldn’t want a man to do that? She is also a journalist for a big time magazine and lives in New York. That is my dream. I think producers did a great job of making both of their lives memorable and desirable.

I have many favorite movies in all different categories. Some of my top favorites are Band of Brothers (even though its only a tv series), How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Orphan, Blindside, John Tucker Must Die, and A Walk to Remember. I absolutely love Band of Brothers because it’s a WW2 movie and Im in love with WW2 movies. this one is my favorite because its based on the real guy’s life who fought. You get very emotionally connected with the characters. You fear with them and hurt with them. Since it is a true story you care so much about them because maybe you know someone who is at Iraq and they might be going through the same things these guys are. In the end some of the guys die and some live, just like in any other war.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a great chick flick movie! It is a comedy also. This movie shows you that you can find love anywhere. They wanted to date for 10 days then screw each other over and leave but in the end they fell in love. How sweet. :) This gives all woman hope. Also they characters are a very cute couple together (also Matthew McConaughey is drop dead sexi!) He is the most memorable thing about this movie.

Orphan is a somewhat scary movie for some. In the beginning you care for this young child who was an orphan, you feel bad for her. But in the end she turns out to be a bad guy. She tries to kill off the family so she can be with the daddy. She actually is an adult who has a medical problem that makes her little and look young. She really is an evil girl. Its memorable because it makes me think twice about wanting to adopt.

Blindside is an OUTSTANDING movie! Its a very good movie because its based on a true story. This movie makes you feel like your selfish because the main family is so giving. They open their house and their lives to help out a young man who is now a professional football player. You care about “Big Mike” because he was a child with no place to go. There are a lot of children out there with this same problem and if they go home to the “ghetto” they could seriously be hurt. You cheer on mike when he plays football. You get into the movie.

I like a lot of various movies. However, with me, in order for me to enjoy the movie there has to be some lighthearted'ness in it...i can't stand movies that are all destruction, death, and/or gloomy. For instance, pathetic or cheesy as it is, i love movies that are classified as "chick flicks", because they have cute, lighthearted humor in them that make me smile while i watch the movie. For instance, i just went to the movie "Leap Year" in theaters for my mother's birthday. In this movie, just a silly part about this American lady, who is used to buying her chicken already dead from a frozen section at a grocery store, watching an Irish man actually taking a live chicken and killing it to be made into food is hilarious. I know this sounds like an odd example, but for some reason that adds more light humor to the story and made me laugh while watching the movie. Maybe it's the fact that it's true that lots of us American have gotten so used to having the work of cooking already half done for us...we don't have to kill our own meat for our meals ourselves...they just come that way at our grocery stores. Where, like in Ireland, it looks to be that they still kill their own livestock fresh for their cookings. Are Americans becoming lazier? So it seems...Anywho, I like movies that make me realize something about myself that i haven't thought of before...at least not for a long time. Like this "Leap Year" movie made me realize how lucky i am that i don't have to kill a live chicken if i wanted to eat some chicken.

I also enjoy musical movies, like "The Sound of Music", or "Phantom of the Opera", and especially "Sweeney Todd". I have a huge love for music, so these movies are definitely favorites because i can sing along to them and yet the songs have a story to them too that go along with the movie. The music can tell a story even without lyrics. Like the orchestra in the background can add an eery touch to a creepy or scary part of a musical, or any movie for that matter. Lots of movies use the tool of an orchestra in the background to aid the creation of a mood during a scene of a movie.

I like Blind Side, Facing the Giants, Friday Night Lights, Fireproof, and My Sisters Keeper. I like basically all football movies because I can relate to them, because I help with the football team. I like Fireproof because I am a strong believer in faith. My Sisters Keeper is also a movie I can relate to because my cousin had/has leukemia, the day I saw the movie we found out she was cancer free, even though its back the movie does a great job at depicting what she went though when she had leukemia the first time, it made me respect my cousin even more after I saw the movie. Reading my cousins blog and talk to them defiantly wasn’t the same as watching the movie. My Sisters Keeper is one of my all time favorite movies. Its hard to talk about because my cousin has leukemia again and every day is a struggle to keep her around. But that movie shows how a cancer doesn’t just affect the life of one person, it’s the whole family. During the movie I asked myself what if I was only here because my sister was battling a cancer and my parents needed to have another kid so they could keep my sister around. Would I fight for myself, my sister, or for what my parents wanted? I also like Blind Side. It was about an injury but more so a family taking a person into their home. My family does foster care so I could most defiantly relate to it because it was about football, and foster care. As a family we have to work together, in the movie they weren’t working together at first and Michael could feel it and that’s why he kept leaving. You have to make the kids part of your family. I like movies that I can relate to because then I am into the movie right off the bat. Movies that I don’t relate to I usually don’t like because I can’t get into them and then I miss the whole message so it seemed like a pointless movie then. I always try to put myself in the in the main charactors spot because then you can feel how they feel.

Some of my favorite films are I Am Legend, Law Abiding Citizen, E.T., Terminator Salvation, and Sherlock Holmes. These are my favorite films, because they have strong characters with irregular stories and surprise endings as well as a lot of action, tragedy and futuristic themes. They entertain and delight me by showing that you can be anybody you want to be and by showing me things that could be possible in the near future. In the movie Law Abiding Citizen, the main character, Clyde, begins as the protagonist then he becomes the antagonist. He is a highly resourceful person and a successful engineer. He becomes a vigilante after the murderer of his family walks free of charges. He comes up with an elaborate plan to murder this man. He brutally dismembers the man and confesses to the crime. While imprisoned, he uses his resources to try and change the corrupt system that let this man be free and almost succeeds. The thing about this film that I like the most is how he had an elaborate and detailed plan for everything. He was never unprepared and everything he did was for a purpose. Because of the terrible thing that happened to this man, I am sympathetic with his character even though he is doing bad things for the "good" of the system. I relate to this character in the sense that I sometimes like to come up with a detailed, complicated plan and follow through with it. I would someday like to be able to make plans that are as elaborate as his and use them to overcome my challenges in life.

Some of my favorite movies are Taken, The Blind Side, A Walk to Remember, The Hangover, and Miracle. Taken is one of my favorite because of its intensity. There isn't a dull moment for me in this movie. You are always wondering what he will do next. It is also my favorite because the dad is so protective of his daughter and will do anything to save her. This movie relates to me I think because I am very close to my dad too. This movie is fun to watch because the main character also notices every little detail so he is analyzing in the movie as you are analyzing him. The movie also scares me because I could imagine myself in her position and if I was taken I wouldn't know what to do.

The Hangover is completely different than the other movies. I like this movie because it is just entertaining no matter what mood you are in. Right away in the beginning you find out that Doug will be missing so before they even go on their trip you are expecting something to happen. Practically the entire movie is about this one night. The movie works backwards in a way because you see them going out but then all of a sudden you see them when they are waking up the next day. Then they try and figure out what happened and by doing that you get to find out what they did that night. The movie keeps you watching by making you wonder what crazy things they did and how they lost their best friend.

Miracle is another one of my favorite movies because it is true. The movie is about a moment in hockey history, the 1980 U.S. hockey team's Olympic victory. This movie really gets to you. They show you how the team even came to be together. One of my favorite parts is when the coach asks them who they play for. At first they all say the college teams they played for, but eventually one player gets it and says for the United States of America. Then they all realize why he kept asking them that question and they get that they have to start acting like a team and not individuals. It is also cool how the coach wasn't even going to be the coach in the first place. But, he had a practically impossible dream of beating the unbeatable Soviets. His passion is what helped the team become more determined to win I think. Since you are watching the players from the very beginning of the team's start you become attached to them. You care about them so that also keeps you really into the movie. This movie is overall inspirational.

Some of my favorite films are, “The Express”, “Remember the Titans”, and “We are Marshall”. They are my favorites because they are very inspiring. Something that helps me like them is that they all have to do with football, and some key events that took place in that film, and I am a big fan of football. That is the main reason that these films entertain me. These movies inspire me do my best in the sports, no matter what the sport may be. I can some what relate to the protagonist because in these films, the plot is never give up, and always do your best in life if you want to succeed. I my self will always do my best, and give my best effort at everything that I will do, weather school, sports, or life. What makes me care about the characters in these films is the fact that you may be able to relate to them in some way, like some of the events that happen to that character. You may also tend to care for the character(s), because they may be perusing the things that you want or wanted throughout your lifetime to make your dreams come true but for most of us, that doesn’t always happen so we tend to fallow one character in the film because we want to see that dream come true for them. And the directors do a great job and doing this because they put you in that character(s) shoes witch helps us feel so attached. What makes these films memorable for me is the fact that they are so inspiring, and that they move me, make me feel happy, sad, and surprised. And also some of the camera angles used in the film, make you feel like you are in the film as an actor.

I was thinking about my favorite movies and realized that most of them had one thing in common; they all involve some sort of love story. One of my favorite movies of all time would have to be The Notebook. It has the Shakespeare theme of two young people who fall in love who cannot be together because of social class. But, all of the actors are absolutely gorgeous, not on accident. It plays with the feelings of the audience. It makes you sad when they are apart; you start to feel for the characters. Also, the moviemakers use beautiful landscape and clothing of the 50’s in the movie, making it even more appealing. Also, The Notebook appeals to many girls and women because they want the love that Ally and Noah had in the movie. Another one of my favorite movies involving a love story is Where the Heart Is. It is an amazing story of a young girl who lives in Wal-Mart while pregnant. The movie makes you want certain things for certain characters. You feel bad for the main character because of the way the father of the baby treats her. The man who delivers her baby is absolutely mad for her, but she can’t seem to realize it. She finally does and they get married in Wal-Mart. I am a sucker for chick flicks. Also, I really enjoyed Taken. It kept my interest the entire time and was action-packed. You never know what is going to happen, but you care for the girl because she is introduced at the beginning and you see how much her father loves her but doesn’t know how to get through to her. Daddy’s little girl is taken and sold into the sex trafficking business while on vacation in Paris. But, the traffickers didn’t know who they were messing with. I love movies that mess with your emotions. Weather it be good emotions or bad ones, it’s nice to feel something different without having to go through the dramatic experiences yourself.

Some of my favorite movies are V for Vendetta and The Boondocks Saints. I enjoy V for Vendetta because of the idea behind the movie and it is a well made movie all around. I like the idea of people making a change in the world by standing up for what is right and not being afraid of something. It is also a kind of scary movie thinking of a government that is so controlling that its own people are afraid to say something bad about it. I like the mystery behind the man in the mask being the good guy. He is taking history and the idea to change the England. I also like that the people get behind the "terrorist" and make him a hero. I like how we never find out who he is really he is just V. He is a very smart person who can use what he has learned and take it and use it for the good of the people. He wants the people to live better life then what they are now always in fear of the people who are in control of the country. I like how he is not the one who changes the future but the Eve is the girl he takes captive. She pulls the lever into the future filled with hope for people and no longer fearing the government.
The Boondocks Saints is also one of my favorite movies because it makes you wonder what if. It makes you wonder if god really did come to them in there dreams and want them to take out all the bad people in the world. The film makes you wonder if what they are doing is right or if it is just murder. Is it murder to kill a murderer who has been set free to murder again. It may not have much of story line besides the killing of bad guys. But, I like to wonder if this did happen what would people react like. Would they hold them up as heroes that are doing what the court system can not or are would they want them put in prison for the murder of some very evil people.

Many of my favorite films are Disney films. I love music and most of the Disney movies are musical type films. One Disney movie I really like would be Cinderella. Cinderella is a girl is the maid of the family. She is always cleaning the house and cannot go anywhere until her chores are done. I like this movie because I can relate to her situation. I also like this movie because I like cartoons. When I was little I always thought I would be able to get out and meet my prince charming. I feel like her a lot of times when my parents don’t let me go anywhere until I have all the chores done and when I get my chores done I have to do it again because I did not do as good of a job as I could have done. In this case I can relate to how she feels. When I am in this situation I always think just maybe ill have a fairy god mother that would rescue me and let me go out to the ball and find my prince charming and live happily ever after. But as it turns out this is the real world and there is no such thing as magic. I care about Cinderella because I relate to her problems. The plot helps me relate this film because I wish my ending will be as great as hers. My childhood is something I will never forget. When I was in elementary school I would watch this movie over and over again.

Another Disney movie I love would b the Lion King. When I was younger I would sit in front of the television in this low white chair. I would have a small glass of chocolate milk in the cup holder, and I would grab my big stuffed lion that looked like Mufassa, and I would watch Lion King over and over again. I also like this movie because there are songs to sing along with. It affected me because when I was little I would think I was a part of the movie and think it was real. I care about the characters because I thought they were real and I thought they were funny.

One of my favorite films is House Bunny. This is one of my favorites because it is very funny and entertaining. I like this movie because it can relate to our society. We have the male fantasy women, popular girls, and the non-so popular girls. This is entertaining because we watch how the Zetas, non popular girls go through the stage of becoming beautiful. They parade around campus showing everyone else how hot they are, and the reactions they get from people and boys is very disturbing. This is showing that women have to look a certain way to get noticed. I and the other viewers care about the characters and what happens to them because the movie starts off with Shelly describing her childhood till where she is today, and getting kicked out of the Playboy mansion and being a Zeta sorority house mother. When meeting the girls at the house we get to know them and then care about them as well and whatever happens to them. The plot of this story helps me like this film because it is the Zeta girls not knowing who they really are, going to superficial girls, and then finding their true selves. This film is memorable for me because I watch it when I’m upset so I can get a good laugh. Therefore I remember a lot about this movie, and quote it all the time.
Another film that is one of my favorite is Legally Blonde. This film is a favorite because it has the actress Reese Witherspoon, as a fashion major wanting to go to law school. This makes the movie excellent because it has a series of events that lead up to her accomplishments. This movie is entertaining but inspiring. I can, and want to relate to “Elle Woods” because she is blonde, and nobody ever takes her seriously. But once she gets the chance she blows everybody away and is able to prove that she is just a dumb blonde. I care about her because she is the main character and I can relate, understand where she is coming from. The plot of this movie make me like it a lot, it has a blonde that is a fashion major that is determined to go to law school for her ex boyfriend, but then finds out that he isn’t worth it and figures out what she is really good at and gets her degree and eventually meets her prince charming. This is almost like a Cinderella story. This is memorable for me because she is inspiring, and a determined person who accomplishes her goals.

Some of my favorite movies of over the years include: Avatar, The Hangover, Super Troopers, and UP. I believe these films are so intriguing to me due to the fact that they take you on an adventure that you're not used too. These movies almost take you on a vacation away from your own everyday life without even moving a muscle. They allow you to just sit in the movie theatre or couch and at the same time go on a wild adventure.
In the movie "avatar", the main character has to decide whether or not to save the Na'vi race or stay loyal to his original race that has mocked him in the past, the human military. Jake, the main character, feels like his life is boring and lacking excitement, like many movie viewers. Jake is physically handicapped and is forced to use a wheelchair. His capabilities are vary limited in his human body, but in his avatar it's a different story. While in his avatar he can walk, sprint, jump, and even hunt big game. Because of this the viewer grows an attraction to him, and feel sympathetic for him. Also as we watch him grow acustom to his endless capabilities, we put ourselves into his shoes.
The movie "UP" is a prime example of an adventure movie. It takes the viewer on a fictional adventure across the world. This movie can appeal to both the kid and adult aspect. It starts out as two kids with big dreams and ends with a retired senior carrying out these dreams.
In "Super Troopers" the film takes you on yet another crazy adventure but with a twist. The twist is that the adventure takes place with the Highway patrol. This is ironic because alot of the events that occur throughout the movie normal police would not do. This is the main humorous aspect in the movie.

Some of my favorite movies are The Notebook, A Cinderella Story, Perfect Man. All of these movies fall under different categories, but for me I like to watch all kinds of movies depending on how my mood is. In the Notebook there is a girl and a boy named Ally and Noah. Their dream is to have a summer of love together. They first meet off at a fair where Ally isn’t exactly into Noah. After hanging out Noah finally wins and takes her over and they are madly in love while they spend everyday together. One night Noah takes Ally to a house where to goes and tells her how he wants to fix it up someday and live there. Ally then has to move away and leaves Noah behind. While she is living in a different town she meets another guy. Noah writes Ally everyday and never gets a response back. Ally sees a picture of Noah and the house in the newspaper. She proceeds to tell her Fiance that she has some unfinished business she has to take care of. She goes back to only fall in love with Noah all over again. This is a story of how true love waits. Their love was never over when she left. There love was very passionate wanting loving kiss ever! It is seven years worth of kissing put into one kiss. And that kiss seals the deal forever.
In the Cinderella story Hillary Duff characters father marries a lady named Fiona who has to mean bratty daughters. Hillarys dad dies in a earthquake and is then forced to live wither her step mom who she does not get along with. She meets a guy on the internet and is to scared to tell him who she is because he might look down on her since shes not like him. Ironically they go to the same school. They decide to meet at the center floor at the dance but Hillarys character never takes off her mask so the guy can never find out who it is. Later on her step sisters rat her out and Chad finds out its Hillary and she seems embarrassed and thinks he wont like her. Chad has his biggest football game of the season and they are losing. The fans start to yell and chant his name. She can no longer stand it so she ends up leaving. Chad sees her leaving and leaves the game and runs up and kisses Hillary. It is also pouring down rain which makes the scene even better.

I don’t really watch too many movies but I still have my favorites. One of my all time favorites is “Rigoletto.” “Rigoletto” is a 1993 musical and fairy tale story. When I was a child this was my favorite because the magical feeling and how powerful the music made me feel. I also wanted to be a professional singer when I was younger and the girl in the movie is a singer who never wins the talent show because she is poor but the rich girl in the movie always wins just because she is rich. How we find this out is when Bonnie sings (Bonnie is the poorer girl) the crowd claps really loud but when the other girl sings suddenly there is a significant notice in the amount of claps. Bonnie ends up working in this mansion to save her family in the hard time. The only reason she specifically is asked to work there is because of her kindness towards the people who bring her down and the fact she doesn’t judge people. A lot like the Beauty in the Beast story. Well, someone in the town is selling off the houses of the people in the town. We find out it is the guy who runs the store but everyone in the town believes it is this guy named Ribaldi. Ribaldi owns the mansion that young Bonnie works at. It turns out Ribaldi is the one who has been saving and curing sicknesses throughout the town. The townspeople destroy his house and end up killing the man when he saves and brings a girl who had fell into the water. Once they found out he didn’t do anything wrong towards them they feel sorry. This entire time Bonnie is out singing, Ribaldi is the one who helped her gain talent and helped get where she is. This movie lets the viewer know everything that is happening before the town knows. This makes things more intense when you end up yelling at the townspeople that they are doing the wrong thing. Movies like this are movies that I enjoy watching no matter how much I want to strangle the townspeople. The music always lets you know how intense the situation has become, and also to let you know that these are happy times. I begin to care about the characters in this film because they let me get to know the character and their families.

I love to watch movies, so it is hard to pick my favorite. I narrowed it down to three- A Cinderella Story, A Walk to Remember and Taken. A Walk to Remember and A Cinderella Story are both love stories which I like. I am not really a fan of thrillers/action movies, so I was surprised when I liked the movie Taken. I like these movies because they are entertaining and exciting. I don’t have to think much during movies which I like.

I also really like the movie A Cinderella Story. The movies is just another version of the Disney movie, Cinderella. This movie is about when a tom boyish girl named Sam (Hilary Duff) dad dies in a earthquake. She is forced to stay with her evil stepmom, Fiona, and her step sisters. Sam starts a email conversation with a unknown person. We find out that it is Austin Ames(Chad Michael Murry) most popular guy in school. They decide to meet at a dance, and she figures out who he is but he doesn’t find out who she is because she never takes off her mask. Eventually Sam sisters rat her out and Austin ends up figurering out who she is. During the biggest football game Austin sees Sam leaving and runs out of the game to go and kiss her. It is such a good movie. The setting is in high school, senior year, just like us.

My all time favorite movie is A Walk to Remember. I could watch this movie over and over again and never get bored of it. This movie is so sad, I cried the first time I watch it. Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan are two teenagers that are both in the Spring play. Landon is forcecd to be in the play and do after school activies because of a prank he and his friends pulled. Jamie is a quiet, shy and very unpopular. Jamie is a very good singer and good actor. Since Landon is having trouble with his lines he asks Jamie for help. She says yes only if he doesn’t fall in love with her. Landon does end up falling in love with Jamie. Jamie tells Landon that she has leukemia and she is not responding to treatment. Landon ends up asking Jamie if she will marry him. They get married and only have a few months together. It is an amazing movie.

One of my favorite movies is The Holiday starring Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Cameron Diaz. I like this movie because it is charming, entertaining, and requires almost no thinking whatsoever. It is a romantic comedy about two women who trade homes only to find that a change of address can change their lives. Winslet’s character is and has been in love with a man who is about to get married to another woman yet he consistently leads her on. Diaz’s character realizes that the man she lives with is unfaithful to her. The two women have never met and live thousands of miles away from each other. But somehow they magically meet online at a home exchange, begin talking, and then on a whim trade homes for the holiday. Soon after they arrive at their destinations of choice, both women stumble on the last thing either wants or anticipates- a new romance. The setting takes place in both California and the English countryside, which appeals to me because I would love to visit either place. The film is directed by Nancy Meyers who has always seen love as a drug, a getaway, a tribulation and an excuse for a lot of gossip. In her films, such as this one, the men and women don’t just fall in love; they talk about falling in and out of love, about needing love, being afraid of love, and giving into love. And because her films are about romance her movies tend to appeal to women. This film uses a great deal of eye-lighting effects. Almost every shot of the lead characters has lighting delicately placed for reflections. Without the eye light the characters would seem lifeless and impassive. The audience would feel detached from the characters, because we wouldn’t be able to read their expressions very well. And if we aren’t able to read their expressions it makes the character seem mysterious and difficult to relate to. This film was memorable to me because it was not only humorous but it was touching, and it also taught me some important life lessons.

Some of my favorite films include movies such as "30 days of night," "28 days later" and "28 weeks later," "super troopers," "Lord of the Rings," trilogy "Shawn of the Dead," "Star Wars" and "The Hangover". These films are my favorites probably because they are all movies that will never happen but they are intriguing to think about as if they might happen. With movies like "30 days of night" and the "28 ___ later" movies and "Shawn of the Dead," they all involve "creatures" that most likely will never be real, but in all of those movies, there is someone who defeats the bad people, it really intrigues me to think about what would REALLY happen? It seems improbable that one person or a couple can overcome the problem. Especially problems as big as the ones that they had to face in these few movies and also in the other movies like "Lord of the Rings" and "Star Wars." Although movies like "Super Troopers" and "The Hangover" could POSSIBLY be real, it most likely will never happen. The movies i'll explain more in this blog task though are "Super Troopers" and "The Hangover". In both of these movies they are very very funny and entertaining. I can not really relate to the protagonist at all. But they are just super funny and and I care what happens to them because I want the funny stuff to continue happening more and more. And i like the plot, setting and EVERYTHING in these movies because the settings are like what a normall person like me would be in BUT the plot is kind of far fetched and probably could not. BUT in both films, they became memorable for be JUST because they made me laugh so much, they have jokes that, may have alot of irony or what have you, and they just make me laugh. So movies like that allow me to laugh and feel good about myself and my family and everything that may be happening in my life because something worse is happening to the people in these movies but they make it funny. The movie "Super Troopers" shows a few state troopers that are not really that great at their jobs but they do not want to lose them either, trying to compete with a local police department over some found drugs on the troopers' juristiction. So they begin trying to devise plans to save their station and keep their jobs. in the process they end up taking down the local police department, losing their jobs, but then getting the local cops' jobs. AND each character in this movie has their own storyline that ties into the movie somehow. Altogether the movie is VERY entertaining and I would recommend it to everyone for viewing pleasure. The movie "The Hangover" is about a group of guys going to Vegas for a bachelor party and ending up not knowing what happened the night before. They have to retrace their footsteps all throughout Las Vegas and figure it out, not to mention they are missing one of their friends who is suppose to get married soon and needs to get back home, so they embark on a journey to find their friend and get him home. But they run into many problems and obsticles. Another movie i would definantly suggest seeing. But that is what i think about my favorite films. Thanks for your time in reading all of this and i hope it enlightened you!

My recent, most favorite movie of all time, would be "The Hangover". This film is my favorite because it is funny and it comes up with the most unexpecting events that MIGHT HAVE NEVER happened at ANY bachelor party in the history of bachelor parties. It starts off good with Allen saying "Woah! Watch it pervert!" to the taylor that is fitting his tux. By that, one may begin to think that this comedy is going to be hilarious. The features of the movie entertain me every time I pop the DVD in the PS2, without getting old or boring. Each time this movie is viewed, I pick up and/or notice more and more details that are strategecally placed by the director to have "hidden meanings" or "details that lead to other things later in the movie." I think in my life I could possibly relate to the protagonist(s) by the way my friends and I act around each other. We tend to LOVE to do things to the extreme, like riding the "International Epic" (aka my club car golf cart) or making a pyramid of Pepsi cans, in its entirety, includes 211 cans. (all were drank by Steven Like, Ryan Ode, and myself) The setting of Las Vegas, helps a person like this movie because, well, it is Sin City, and NO ONE holds back. The film is memorable for myself because it is full of great one-liners and I have had a night where I can relate, the fact of not being able to have the memory of what happen. Lucky for me, nothing extreme happened like a tiger in the bathroom or a baby in the closet. This film is a great one and I will bring it into class to do a class evaluation on a scene of your choice!

My first favorite movies of all time are definately the Harry Potter series. I love them becacuse I think it would be so sweet to go to a witchcraft school. I love the story line, plot, characters, and everything else about the films. They entertain me to the max. I love the love scenes and the death ones. The movies make you want to keep seeing the next one that comes out, always leaving you with an ending that isn't satisfying for the complete end yet. It's cool that they do their best in keeping the same actors for the characters, so you see how they grow. Another favorite movie of mine is Hocus Pocus. I have a thing for witches and Halloween. Meagan Donovan and I decided freshman year that we would cut off our arm to go to Hogwarts if we could! Hocus Pocus is old, and slightly childish but I still enjoy watching it. This movie is especially funny to me becuase all of my friends know i love it and it's fun to watch it with them and say parts of the movie with the characters. Another favorite movie of mine is The Hangover. It has a hilarious plot to it. I love the characters and love watching what happens to them. I can't really relate to the characters and hope that i don't have to relate to them at any point in my life. My other favorite movie of mine is Now and Then. I love the story of the movie, most teens can relate to the stress, divorce, and the other trouble the teens have. I like how they are happy, then sad, and there are even scary parts to it. This movie is memorable to me because when I was little my sister and I used to watch it all the time.

some of my top favorite movies would have to be the blindside, transformers 2, New moon, mean girls, georgia rule, and my sisters keeper.
I think the blindside is an excellent inspirational family film that people of all ages can get into. It's sad, enlightening, uplifting and has somewhat of the typical hollywood happy ending. It has roles in it that all members of the family can relate to.
I went into transformers expecting it to be something i wouldn't really enjoy, since the movie i wanted to see was sold out, but it really turned out to be one of my top 10 favorites. It had action, humor, romance, and conflict. You learned in the movie along with the characters about sam and the crazy symbols in his head. The movie is geared it seemed toward a teenage audience, however i think adults could enjoy it as well. Megan and shia(sp?) are two extremely well known stars, and i think they drew alot of attention to the movie.
New moon and twilight i loved becuase i really got into the whole vampire thing, I hate scary movies, but the vampires were actually the "good guys" in stephanie meyers story. It had life threatening romance, suspense, and drama. It was an easy one for teenage girls to enjoy, especially with rob and Taylor as the 2 main male roles.
Mean girls was something i think i think almost every teenage girl could relate to. There are clickes, rumors, boy drama, and everything else a typical high school experience brings on, parties, fights with parents. Its so easy to relate to, especially if you have ever moved to a new school. It goes to show how shallow minded mean, fake witches dominate the school. Every school has the 'popular crowd'. It goes deeper into the 'magic qualities' you must posess to be qualified as a popular mean girl, which are the targets that caty goes for against regina, everything that gives her power. It is funny, intertaining, stupid, and such a good representaion of a high school student body.
Georgia rule i liked because it showed how not everybodys life is perfect, and that even though things have been broken for a long time, they are not impossible to put back together again. It takes you through the life of a self absorbed, confident teenager played by lindsay lohan(who herself is so famous she made the movie huge) It shows problems with love, marriage, parenting, and relationships in general. Its definately one of my favorite chick flicks.
and last but not least my sisters keeper was one of the most heart touching, tear wrenching, meaningful, depressing movies i had ever seen. It was told entirely from a dying child and her familys point of view, how hard it was in the parents, the 'independence' struggle you find out in the end is a favor for the dying kate. It breaks your heart again and again, but it is able to show you the true value of family, love, time, and most importantly life. You hoped that Kate would live at the end of the movie, but in the back of your head you knew she was going to die. absolutely awful, but yet so attention grabbing at the same time. It is probably my actual favorite movie. Overall i like comedys, romance, chickflicks, and action genres. Every favorite movie of mine fits into one of those categories. Movies let you escape your life, and step into somebody else's, for a lot shorter time than books, but sometimes less time is more effective.

Some of my favorite movies include Juno, She’s the Man, Rent, Sweeney Todd, Once, and many others.

Juno and She’s the Man are both comedies though Juno has a much more believable plot to it. I love Juno for its quick, clever humor and sarcasm. One can’t help but fall in love with the main character as she learns to cope with an unexpected pregnancy, using her wit and sense of humor. The one-liners are an ingenious distraction, the director’s way of clearing your throat for the lump you’ll most likely find towards the movie’s last few scenes.

When Viola Hastings’s (Amanda Bynes) school (Cornwall) cuts the girls soccer team she decides to switch teams all the way. She poses as her twin brother Sebastian at his new school (Illyria), their old school's rival, while he runs off to London with his band. At Illyria, she manages to fall in love with her roommate (Channing Tatum), make the boy’s varsity soccer team, and eventually lead them to victory in the championship game against Cornwall. The plot of She’s the Man is so unrealistic it’s ridiculous, but I think that’s one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much. Viola’s perception of the male behavior and her impersonation of it kept me laughing through out the entire movie.

The movies Rent, Sweeney Todd, and Once all have one thing in common: music. They all differ in genre and appeal to me in different ways but I think the music is what I was first drawn to. I love all the different characters you experience in Rent and Sweeney Todd was able to bring a sort of dark, desaturated humor to what should’ve been just another horror story. Once is an indie-rock musical whose budget of $175,000 was minuscule compared to Hollywood’s standards today. It’s one of the first musicals where the plot actually makes sense to me. I thoroughly enjoy how people don't burst into song in this movie because the orchestra's swelling out of nowhere. The main characters are working musicians, or they'd like to be, if they could make a living at it, and they’re played by working musicians: Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. I’m able to relate to the characters and story line of Once because music has become such a huge part of my life today.

I have many different favorite films. Some would be Anchorman, Step Brothers, and The Hangover. Although my all-time favorite movie is the newly realeasted Avatar. When I saw this movie I absolutely loved it. It would for sure be my favorite because it would be my dream to visit another life inhabited planet or moon other than earth. Plus the science fiction involved is sweet. The abililty to put yourself in a different, much stronger and sweeter, body is just mind blowing and would be interesting to see what it would be like. I'm able to relate with the protagonist, Jake Sully, because he has a twin brother who dies and filled in his spot that his brother worked hard to achieve, so Jake didn't want to let it go to waste and took the chance. I care for Sully because he is not only the main character, he is the narrator, and the camera basically never cuts to a scene without him in it. This movie is set on the Alpha Centauri star system on one of it's moons that is very magical, where all of it's inhabitants light up in the dark on intricate designs on their bodys. It is very unusual but very cool. Jake has to learn the way of the tribe so he can basically tell them to move out or they will be foced out by humans so they can dig up their huge sacred tree to get a very valuable mineral underneath it. Jake gets very attatched to the Na'vi tribe and realizes he doesn't want to work for the government but wants to help them. All in all, there are amazing special effects that seem so real. I will remember this alot especially when they have humans as antagonists because they want to take over someone elses land to get money, like we are doing today on our own world. Which makes it even more relatable.

Some of my favorite films would have to be Hangover, Forest Gump, watchmen, anchorman, and cars. All these films have some comedy. some more than others. They all some action in them too. These movies keep my attention by having a very interesting plot and no one knows what will come next. They are also my favorite because they have pretty good endings movies that dont have good ending are not done very well. Take Forest gump for example. The plot in that movie is very dynamic. It reaches out to action enthusiasts by having the vietnam scenes. This film also have a love connection between jenny and forest. The plot in this movie is very complicated but so much is involved with it that it is a very good movie. The directors make us care about forest by showing us the problems he had as a little kid but they also show us in the beginning that forest becomes a very respect man by having him tell us the story we are very related to him and we feel what he feels. When forest is very happy we are happy also and when he is sad we also feel sad. This film is very memorable for me because it is a bit educational and shows life back in the 60's and 70's that I find interesting. Forest gump is a roller coaster ride from the begging to the end and it's intense and also very sad at points and it relates so much to the actual human life that it attracts many different people to watch it and take it in. Mel Gibson does an excellent job of making Forest Gump the character relatable and it shows but how many awards the movie has won and that people are still watching at talking about the film.

Some of my favorite movies are the Harry Potter series, the Twilight series, When a Stranger Calls, and Leap Year. They are all different from each other and I like most types of movies except violent/gorey ones. I loved the Harry Potter books and Twilight series books, so that is why I love the movies so much. They don’t live up to the books of course but they are still my favorites. Both of these series are extremely fictional, and that is why I like them. You can kind of escape from the real world and enjoy some things that could never happen: being a witch, wizard, vampire, and werewolf. In Harry Potter, there are love scenes with different characters, as well as some scary parts and death that make you feel for the characters. In Twilight there is this extremely powerful love connection between Bella and Edward. It is really romantic the way that they can’t live without each other. They would die for each other, like Romeo and Juliet. I really like scary movies such as When a Stranger Calls. The main character Jill is forced to babysit because she goes over her minutes on her cell. The house is huge and the two kids are already asleep when she gets there. Jill keeps on getting weird calls from an unknown caller. She later finds out the caller is in the house when he states “have you checked the children” and “how were the children” after she checks on them. The whole movie you feel nervous for Jill because she doesn’t know what will happen next. This movie is even scarier because it could actually happen. It makes you think twice about locking your doors and windows. Leap Year is another great movie because it is a funny, adventurous, love story. Anna is the main character who travels to Dublin, Ireland to propose to her boyfriend on leap day. There is bad weather along the way, and a guy named Declan helps her travel to Dublin. She falls in love with him along the way and ends up with him at the end of the movie.

One of my favorite movies of all time is The Strangers. It's a horror film. In the beginning a couple are at a friends wedding recepetion and the man proposes only to get let down. But since he thought she would say yes he had this huge romantic setup at his parents summer home where they were planning on staying. After arriving it was kind of awkward but you could feel the man's pain and see he didn't really want to be there. At around 3 in the morning they get a visitor at the door. It's a young blonde woman but they don't allow you to see her face - the porch light is out - to give it mystery. She creepily asks if her friend is there, they say no, and she asks if they are sure...I would've left right then and there. But as the movie goes on the bad guys keep messing with them. Moving things around the house, opening doors, painting on windows, stealing their cell phones and popping out their car tires are just a few. I loved this movie because it seemed so real and that it could happen to anyone. In the end they have the man and woman tied up and the woman asks "Why are you doing this?" and the young woman replies, "Because, you were home." That means they were just messing with them and killed them just for the fun of it. And this movie, along with No Country For Old Men doesn't have a soundtrack. The only music that plays is the weird music they play theirselves on the record player. I feel I care for the characters because they seem real. They're not having a happy ever after...the man proposed and she said no, it happens all the time, and they do an excellent job of showing how hurt he is and how bad she feels...feelings we've all felt before. I have many more favorite movies but this one by far is my favorite.

Movies I enjoy are the Twilight Saga and Transformers. Twilight is that love story every girl wants to experience. Everything in the film is so real and you get a feel for which character you team up with. Just the setting and the mood of the movie is what I like. The mood is so serious and there is not much humor in the movie. The setting is also really pretty and its some place I would love to be.
And Transformers. You get a feel for Sam because he is the ultimate leader. He stands beside Optimus, Bumblebee and the rest of the autobots. You just fall in love with how hard he tries to be with McKayla. And the autobots are the ones who set the mood when there is alot of tension. They bring the comic relief.

Some of my favorite films are Transformers, Wanted, The Italian Job, Taken, and Avatar. I like all of these movies especially for their special effects and whatnot but for other reasons too. In Transformers and Avatar, I love how the writers connected the plot of the story to our society and portrayed how our government can be wrong sometimes too. Even though both movies are fictional, the viewer can connect to them because the producers try to put you in with the main characters as much as possible. Another movie I enjoy watching time and time again is Wanted. It's nonrealistic but exciting at the same time. For some reason, I can visualize there really being a fraternity of assassins in our world, just doing their jobs like everyone else and trying to keep our world as sain as possible. The producers also try to connect you with the main character by making you think about what he is going through and how you would react, would it be the same or different from the protagonist. The Italian Job and Taken are two more of my favorites. They keep me interested throughout the whole film and make me wonder what is going to happen next. The Italian Job makes me laugh a little bit because of the way "the team" gets there gold back. I don't know if revenge is always the way to go but in this movie it's pretty legitimate. Taken is sort of a different story but also has revenge in it. I think Taken stuck out to me because I would want my dad to act the same way as the dad in the movie. Even though my dad doesn't have the same certain skills as the dad in the movie, I think any dad in that situation would do everything in their power to protect their daughter.
I think every movie sticks out to people in some way. Everyone remembers a certain part of every movie; whether it scares them, excites them, or makes them cry.

Some of my favorite films are the lord of the rings trilogy, Happy Gilmore, and Superbad. They are a select few of different films. The lord of the rings are some of my favorite films of all time because it has a great story in an excellent setting where you have a variety of protagonists that you can relate to. It was original in its time and you get really deep into the story and you feel for many of the main characters. Frodo for instance you can see his pain along the movie as the One ring goes against him and corrupts his mind. This film affects me emotionally because it has a gripping story that puts you right into the action and you want to fight along side the characters. It is a world that a lot of people would dream of entering. You care about the characters because there are a lot of characters to relate to. They come in all shapes and sizes and you feel for their suffering and want to help them.

Another film I enjoy is Happy Gilmore. The humor from it is hilarious. His wacky antics are crazy and histerical and you really pull for Happy in the end. He is a good person with a strong heart who every one can relate to. Adam Sandler plays the role of an average joe very well.

The last film I really enjoy is Superbad. The canter that the two have back in forth is humorous and enjoyable to watch. They have a huge bond and you want to realate to them and think of a friend who you can connect to like they do. They play teenagers so many people our age can relate to them and how they are feeling in this stage of life.

My favorite movies are ones that keep me on my toes, i dont like movies that arent filled with action and adventure. some movies that i like are:the fast and furious series, the hills have eyes, saw movies, and most comedies. movies that keep you on ur feet are the best, your always wondering what is gonna happen next, and there is never a dull moment. comedies are very good to, like the hangover, you are laughing almost the whole movie, which is better than you sitting tehre waiting for the laughs, you never stop. the best kinds of movies are the ones that make you beleive that whats happening in the movie is real or it can be real or you think it can be real. if your watching a movie and you know that it cant happen and its not real at all, it ruins the movie from the start. if its real it makes you think that it could happen to you so it makes it that much better. it is also helps when the setting of the movie is in a well known town or a place that you are able to go to, it makes the effect that that could be you

Some of my favorite films include Hangover, No Country forOld Men, White Chicks, and Talladega Nights. The Hangover is one of my favorite movies because I love to laugh and i laugh through the entire movie every time I watch it. In this movie there is only one person that you do not like and she is Melissa. Other than that you enjoy everyone else. This movie affects me because it is very funny and makes me laugh. I care about the characters in this film because they have lost their friend Doug and can not find him even though he is going to get married the next day. This film is very memorable to me because of the many times it has made me laugh and how i can recall that.
I liked No Country for Old Men because the whole movie kept you guessing on what was going to happen next and sometimes I was right and other times wrong. Some parts in the movie gave me the creeps or frightened me. I care about the characters in this film because I hate Anton who is killing every inoccent person without merrcy on them. He is almost like an unstopable force and your cheering for Moss to finally end the monster that is Anton. It is hard to tell what the plot is or how the movie will end untill it finally does end and that grabs the viewer and pulls them into the movie. This film is very memorable to me because of Anton and how he cares for no one.
White Chicks is a classic funny movie. The way that they make two black men look like two white women is very funny and how the men have to learn how to act like ladies is a gender switch that makes this film halarious. You like the characters in this film because nothing seems to go right for them and your hoping that they catch a break.
And finally Talladega Nights. Some of my favorite quotes come from this movie including,"You faken it?!, You FAKEN?!!". You like the main character Ricky Bobby because he reprisents America and we want him to win, also for him to "get his balls back" and go fast. I remember this film because it makes me laugh and I can talk about it with friends.

My all-time favorite movie is Elf. Elf, a family-type movie, is one of my favorites because it is funny, yet touching. Once thing that makes the movie so funny is the irony. In the movie, Buddy, a human raised by elves in the North Pole, travels to New York City to find his father, Walter Hobbs, who is sadly on the naughty list. When Buddy arrives in New York City, he acts as a child, eating gum off railings, running in circles through a revolving door and pressing all the buttons in an elevator. These things, which every kid has once dreamed of doing, make this movie so funny because Buddy is so ignorant of how people act in this environment. Buddy doesn’t know about escalators, dating or mall Santas which make this movie so funny because these are unconscious things to us, but foreign to him, and although he is human like everyone else in New York City, because he was raised by elves he doesn’t understand how and why we do things differently. This movie is also touching because Buddy influences so many people to believe, in many things, not just in Santa. In the beginning of the movie, Walter Hobbs was a grouchy, business man that cares more about his work than his family. By the end of the movie, Buddy had such a big influence in Walters’s life, to make him realize what is important in life. Elf is my favorite movie because it keeps me interested and always laughing. It’s funny because Buddy acts childish because he isn’t used to being in a “human world”. Elf, I believe, inspires me to keep believing. Although I know the truth about Santa, this movie brings back my childhood and makes me believe, because it seems like it could be somewhat of a true story.

i would say boondock saints and the dark night. they both have a lot of exciting events happening. they aren't like any other film. they both are none stop action for the most part. You can't even imagine what will happen next in BS. There moves are unguessable. The dark night has everything. it has action and love. it shows how a man wants a women and also he fights crime. he is the wealthiest man in the city but yet he is out fighting bad guys and risking his life to protect other people. The joker also makes you move by how he is. some people might just be as crazy as him in real life. he is like chugar in a weirder way. chugar is more realistic. but the joker is about as insane as you can get. The way the reason heath ledger died was because off how insane he had to become to play the part of the joker.

One of my favorite films is "The Breakfast Club." The thing I like most in this film is that every one of the characters is from a different "click" in the school. They can't all relate in the same way and they have to try to understand the others. In the beginning of the film no one is getting along but in the end the "jock" guy and the "gothic" girl get together, also the "preppy" girl and the "punk" boy get together. This just goes to show that you don't need to date or hang out with people in your own "click." There are other people that you may like or interest you even though they are not in your group. This movie shows me that I can date or be friends with people that are not "like" me and there is nothing wrong with it. I can and I assume that many others can relate to the characters in "The Breakfast Club" because for the longest time I have been scared or unsure if I should or could hang out and be friends with people that weren't in my "click." I care about the characters in this film because I understand that it is hard to get along with or be with people that are not like you. I have been in situations where I had to work with or be around people that weren't in my "click." I like this film because the characters are in detention and have to spent a whole day together. They come to realize that they are not that different and they are actually alike in many ways. I'm not sure why this film is so memorable to be but I do know that it is one of my favorite movies. This movie is a great movie to show people that it is ok to be friends with people from other "clicks."

One of my all time favorite movies is Remember the Titans. This movie shows the conflicts of combining high school students where some of the players are white and the others are black. This movie takes place during the civil rights movement. So this team that is put together causes problems in the social world. On top of it all, the HEAD COACH is black, and the white coaches are the assistants to him. The movie starts out with the players going to a camp to make the team. The head coach played by Denzel Washington decides to room a white player with a black player so the team could overcome social views and come together as a whole team, regardless of color. The team survives through camp and come back as one, but the outside world is still black and whites separated. The school these players attend also mix the black and white students which causes conflicts. This movie is powerful and emotional. This movie shows the viewers how biased the dominant white world was back then and how it effected each race from their viewpoints. The head coach is later told in the movie that he will be fired with a single loss on the entire season. He is surprised by the decision and does not think that it is fair at all. But he overcomes this obstacle and coaches the team as if he is not worried about losing his job. When you have nothing to lose, anything is possible. That is the type of attitude the coach has for the rest of the season and takes the team all the way to the state championship. Another emotional part in the movie is when one of the white players gets into a car crash and learns that he is paralyzed for the rest of his life from the waist down. He can't play football for he rest of his life and has to watch the state championship from the hospital. He also breaks through the pain and becomes an athlete in the special Olympics. The viewer has so much to connect to in this movie. This movie is powerful, iconic, and shows the fight of overcoming an oppressive setting or obstacle within the person. This movie sends the message that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, anything is possible.

My favorite films would have to be Rent, Annie, The Ringer, My Sisters Keeper, The Hangover, Vantage Point. These movies are all different in many ways, The Ringer is probably my favorite out of them all, because it talks about a taboo of life. It is amazing how they get Johnny Knoxville to play a more serious role, rather than his obnioux role like normal. Most of the movies I've listed have that aspect in common, the focus on things out of the ordinary. Annie focuses on the harsh treatment of a little girl in an orphanage, how many little girls or boys do you see get adopted by wonderfully rich, sweet people. Also Rent, Rent is by far one of the most contriversial movies (musicals) ever made. Rent is all about sex, drugs, aids, and alchol, you really can't get more controversial than that. Rent makes you sympathize with the characters as well as dispise them all in one movie. The way the make you feel the emotions of the characters is amazing, it causes me to completely forget im watching it but rather living it. The Movie Vantage Point is a very exilerating movie. The way they use camera angles to keep you guessing is so different. You never know what little aspect you are going to figure out with the next shot. I think movies in general are more interesting when they are based on something different, something against the norm. Take chick flicks for instance, they are pretty self explainatory, some antagonist steps in saying the women isn't their type or ugly or some other shovanistic thing, and in the end realizes their inner beauty, how many movies can you watch that you know the out come too before it gets old. I'm already sick of them and im 17. I hate to group movies like that but it does seem like a pretty repetative things. Movies are interesting when they keep you on your toes, or on the edge of your seats.

My favorite movies would have to be the American Pie series. Not the new, lame American Pie movies, but the originals such as American Pie, American Pie 2, and American Wedding. I enjoy the originals since the cast acts perfect together and their flow is so good it makes you feel like you are part of their "clique". Jim, played by Jason Biggs, is the main character and is easy to laugh at since he is so awkward and finds himself in many weird circumstances. Stiffler, played by Sean Willam Scott, is the most hilarious character in any movie I have seen. He is so cocky and has a swagger about him that just livens up the movie. His constant use of profanity is another reason why he is hilarious since he isn't afraid to use them ever. The creativity of the directors when making this film really stands out. Some of the situations these guys find themselves in is just so ridiculous, it is almost an art form to think of how these directors could think of some of these things. At the beginning of each of these movies, Jim is always in an embarassing situations with his father. Then his father always trys to turn the situation into a life lesson while "Jimbo" sits and listens in disbelief of what just happened. Stiffler gets angry at his friend named Finch, since Finch and Stiffler's mom have sex numerous times and Stiffler never hears the end of it. This makes the viewer laugh since usually it is Stiffler who is making the jokes and poking fun at others, but in this case he is getting made fun of. The American Pie trilogy is great because it is truly one of a kind.

I enjoy a variety of movies like comedies, action movies, and classic movies. One of my favorite movies is The Ugly Truth. The reason why I like this movie is the two actors in the movie. I love Gerald Butler and Katherine Higel. In the movie Butler is the "typical guy" and all he thinks about is sex and women. He tells Higel how to act to get her dream guy, who is a rich doctor. In the end they fall in love with each other for who they are not for how they act. This movie explores the gender roles in our society also but in a funny and entertaining way. The director makes you care about the characters because they both just want to find love and yet it is right in front of them. The Hangover is another movie that I enjoy watching. I like this movie because the four guys do not remember anything that happened the night before in Vegas at the bachelor party. They wake up and have to try to piece together what happened. While I was watching The Hangover I was entertained because I would try to guess what they did the night before to get them into this crazy mess. I can not really relate to the protagonist in this movie. I also like adventure movies such as Taken. In the movie two teenage girls go to Paris for the summer. They then get taken into the secret world of prostitution. I liked this movie because it could be true. It also sheds light onto human slavery that really does happen in the world. This movie is not a slow starting movie. The director almost throws you right into the action at the beginning of the film. The setting is also ironic because I normally think of Paris as being a city of love. When in this movies it is portrayed as a hellish city full of kidnapping and drugs.

The Nightmare Before Christmas, Transformers, Saw Series, Harry Potter Series, Office Space, Avatar, Sound of Music, Hocus Pocus, Toy Story, and Oceans 11-13
They have captivating music, amazing action, ghastly blood drenched rooms, hilarious scenes, out-of-this-world settings, actual meaningful plot, mythology, and childhood adventures.
They take you to places you could never be or would never want to be and show how the characters interact with their environment and the perils that wait dormant in the shadows, just hoping the protagonist will become ensnared by a tantalizing offer or a deviant plan.
They give me the thrill and excitement it would be like if I were right next to the camera. They also show how different things could be like in another person’s point of view.
Usually yes, the movie is made so you can easily put yourself in the protagonist’s shoes. It allows us to imagine we are in the movie, rather than just watching it.
We grow attached to the character because we can relate to them and we can empathize with them. We also want to know what happens to them because the whole movie revolves around them, without them, there isn’t a movie.
The setting help you visualize what the character sees behind the camera and the plot helps you see what is happening to the protagonist so you can follow what they are doing.
These films are memorable because they remind me of a simpler time or they have graphic images that are hard to get out of your mind.

Some of my favorite movies are The Hangover, Gran Torino, Transformers, and Step Brothers. I like all of these movies because they catch my attention during the whole movie. In the comedies, i am always looking for the next great joke or something stupid to happen to happen to someone. In transformers there is the special effects that catch my attention. Gran Torino is more of a serios movie but the dry humor is funny to me and the tension between Clint Eastwood and the foreign thugs.
I love comedies like The Hangover and Step Brothers because of the funny parts like everyone else. But in The Hangover there is also a touch of reality in it. Not the whole part about the roofies, mike tyson's tiger, and a asian pimp chasing you down but three guys having a good time in Vegas. In The Hangover you feel for the four guys. The viewers connect with Alan because they want to be in his wolf pack and have a good time. In step brothers I felt bad for Brennan and Dale because Derek was a total jerk to them. Also, when the dad totally flips on Brennan and Dale towards the end of the movie i felt like punching him in the face. The movie makers made you connect with the two brothers and care for them and when someone as close as their dad/step-dad turns against them you feel mad and angry against him. These movies are memorable because you get to joke around with your friends with some of the quotes from the movies.
Transformers is amaing because the movie creators transformed a childhood memory into a movie full of action. I had to watch the movie over and over just to catch new details on the crazy special effcts. It amazes me how they can make things look so lifelike. Every time an explosion went off i was on the edge of my seat thinking i was going to get hit. The casting crew did a great job connecting with the audience. Many guys watch the movie not only because of the violence but because of Megan Fox and i'm sure some girls watch it for Shia Labeouf. They also connected with the viewers with the parents. I felt embarresed myself just because the parents like when they walked into the room Shia and Megan looking for the glasses.
Gran Torino is an epic movie full of great moments. It makes you feel very connected to Clint Eastwood even though he is an old crusty grump. It is full of life stories that teach wonderfull lessons. On lesson is how much peer pressure affects people into doing things like stealing a car from a such a crazy guy like Clint. Another is that even though you may hate an ethnicity you can always change your mind and help those in needs. This movie grabs the attention of viewers because the whole movie is like a spring full of tension that could explode at any moment.

One of my favorite films is the Will Smith movie, Seven Pounds. It really shows a real life situation where a person has to struggle and fight for not only his own life but also the life of the person he cares about the most, his beloved son. I think the way the director makes the downward spiral of Smith's charactor's life so real and so possible for all of us to go through. His fall wasn't just a freak accident, it was just a regular guy going out on a limb and trying to be successful for his family and he unfortunatly got the short end. I also enjoy the inpirational aspect. No matter what happens, no matter who or what gets in his way, Shith's charactor never stops fighting. He never quits. I have been in situations where quitting is not an option. In dealing with people who have depression, I have seen first hand how quitting on someone and giving up hope can end in disaster. Disaster being scares, both physicall and emotionl, and suicides. The way he handles all this difficulty and still doesn't get down on himself and stays strong for his son really inspires me to continue working with people in emotional need. I care about what happens to this guy because i see not only myself in ways, but also i see a glips of everyone in need. His son also kind of represents every person who depends on somebody or something else. We all depend on each other in this world. The father depends on his son for inpiration and a reason to keep moving forward in life, the son depends on the father for life itself. Without his father, the kid would have no where to go.

My Favorite movies of all time would have to be The Shawshank Redemption, Girl Interrupted, Premonition, and The Pianist. I like watching these movies because I enjoy history and all of these movies except Premonition include a major event or facts about the time period. Premonition is probably the most confusing movie I have ever watched. I had to watch it three times to fully understand what happened. All of Sandra Bullock’s characters days are mixed up throughout a week time period she wakes up one day and her husband is gone, the next he is right back at home. It is a suspense filled movie with great camera work and an awesome concept. It definitely sets itself apart from other movies. Girl Interrupted is on my top list of so weird that it is interesting. It takes place in a mental or insane hospital. You meet the patients that are and have been staying there and their story to life. The weirdest patients seem to take your heart the most. It is filled with intense stories of people’s lives and also the hardships that made them end up in the hospital. The Pianist is very good. A bit long but has a great plot. It is a true story about one Jew’s story throughout the holocaust in World War II. I love this movie for many reasons. One I play the piano and it is a big part of my life and also I love anything that has to do with World War II. The Shawshank Redemption I recently saw and fell in love. I like this movie because Morgan Freeman does an amazing job narrating throughout the movie. There is just something about his that is calming and welcoming at the same time. It seems like there is no hope through the whole movie till the end. That is all I will say until you watch it. Enough said! Watch IT!!

Some of my favorite films include the movies Boondock Saints, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, War of the Worlds and King Arthur. These are some of my favorite movies because they all appeal to my interests in one way or another. I like Boondock Saints for its action and the way that the plot seems to develope quickly even though the movie is actually rather long. The movie never deviates from the original story line but also is not slow and tedious to watch. It makes you question what makes things right or wrong and whether things that are generally viewed as wrong in society can be used to stopped another wrong, such as murdering a murderer. This is "excellent" because it has you question your own beliefs which can either strengthen or help you see new points of view and open your mind to new ways of thinking. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is a completely different kind of film that centers on two teenaged kids in New York as they go on a journey together to find a concert late at night in the City. I like this movie because it involves several different social classes and how they can connect and that they don't have to be separate. It also shows the strength of friendship and how far people can go to acheive a link with others. Another "exellent" feature of this movie is a pretty decent soundtrack that perfectly displays the mood of the movie and also shows that indi-rock bands produce good music without being overly advertized or played on mainstream radio. I'm able to relate to the protagonists in this film because of my interest in music. One of the main reasons that i enjoy War of the Worlds is because the film shows the power of human perseverance. Although i don't relate to tom cruise's character beyond my interest in cars, when watching the movie i try to envision myself in the character's situation and try to imagine what i would do and how i would feel in such a situation. I enjoy King Arthur purely for the action and the fantasy that goes along with all of the stories that have been passed along since mideval times and how they have been given a new twist in the movie. I enjoy the conflict between Arthur and the Saxon hored and can relate to Arthur's instincts to distrust the native brittish because of the enmity that has existed between them.

My favorite films are usually in the comedy, war, and horror genre. I also enjoy appocolypse movies. My favorite movie as of now would have to be "I am Legend". This movie includes the infamous actor Will Smith. I enjoy his acting and find him very talented. He is one of the reasons it is my favorite movie. Another reason its my favorite is because it takes place after a national disaster. The movie adds suspense with horrific creatures call death seekers. A lone man with a loyal dog must find a cure for a disease that was intended to cure cancer. I love movies that show how man tries to create something productive when all we bring is destruction. Another movie I enjoy to spend my time watching is "Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail". This is by far the funniest movie I have ever encountered. It is a comedy that takes place in mid-evil and somewhat present times. I enjoy the mid-evil tales of knights and heroism. King Arthur is sent out on a quest to find the Holy Grail. This movie brings humor to a dark and religious story. Another movie I enjoy is "Forest Gump". This is just a wonderful simple story. The reason I like it so much is because its just so simple. This movie takes you through time and the life of a less than normal man. His name is forest and he likes to run. His famous line about life is, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get". I love this movie and enjoy the acting displayed by Tom Hanks. Those are my favorite movies. I like war movies for there action and bravery. The also relate greatly to America, and God knows I love America! War movies are plentiful, because there is plenty of war. Horror, comedy, and suspense are the ticket to a great movie.

If I travel through the cold weather and spend ten bucks for a bag of soggy popcorn and a small pop, I want to take in a movie that will intrigue and perplex me. Some of my favorites are “I am Legend” and “Law Abiding Citizen”. I like movies that I can escape my everyday life and turn into a complete BAMF. Movies that can make me wonder how awesome would it be to be able to take a bullet, get right back up, and take out hundreds of hated terrorist. However, movies like “Pursuit to Happiness” can affect people in a totally different way. The audience is captured by the struggles of a man and his young boy struggle to survive the inner city and in the end can turn lively ladies into wimping women. In “Law Abiding Citizen” I was mainly finding myself cheering for the dynamic character Clyde (Gerard Butler). I feel bad for him because the very first scene Clyde whole family is raped and murdered right in front of him by some random guy that came knocking at their door. In the end his bitterness turns to revenge which ultimately ends his fate. The setting to this story is what makes you scared the entire movie. Clyde family is just a “normal” suburban family living there life as a young new family. This movie was made memorable to me because I am a fan of Gerard Butler’s action insane movies that never disappoint. He is in a lot of films where he has to be almost godly just to survive some of the battles, and I like to pretend that I could be that amazingly courageous given the same situation.

There have been many movies produced throughout the years and many have captured the hearts of the world’s population; but there are a few that stand out most clearly in my mind, such as: Mrs. Doubtfire and We Were Soldiers. Even though these movies come from different genres, they both contain great messages and make the viewers feel for the protagonists and the problems opposing them.
Mrs. Doubtfire is about Daniel Hillar who is a recent jobless, divorced parent of three, does not receive complete custody over his children. Hillard soon decides to make the persona of Mrs. Doubtfire; with this persona, Hillard decides to pursue and persuade his ex-wife Miranda, to allow him to be his kids’ nanny, after telling Daniel that she is placing an ad in the local paper for a nanny. The movie opens with Hillard looking like a complete idiot; this movie goes against the social “norms”, even throughout the generations; we see Mr. Hillard as the “woman” in the stereotypical household and Mrs. Hillard as the “man” in the household. We see Mrs. Hillard as the “man” because she is the one that “brings home the bacon” and not Mr. Hillard which is ironic in society. Another instance of irony is Mrs. Hillard working in corporate America and Mr. Hillard working as a household nanny. Mrs. Doubtfire also goes against society by being a cross-dressing man, which is not very acceptable, even by today’s standard. This movie is also a funny depiction of a man dealing with his grief through becoming a woman to stay with his children. I believe the part that most gets me, is the ending scenes of the movie. During the final nine minutes of the movie, those have the greatest emotional impact on me because we have all been there before, we fight and fight, but when we think we’re going to lose, something happens and it can be all right or you realize the fighting was futile and you truly miss the simple things in life. As Mrs. Doubtfire said, “If there is love dear, those are the ties that bond and you will have a family in your heart forever”; that closing statement is the reality of life and family together.
We Were Soldiers is a 2002 movie produced by award winning actor, Mel Gibson. This movie is based on the novel, written by Lt General (ret.) Howard Moore and former reporter Joseph L. Galloway whom both were present at the battle of Ia Drang Valley. This movie is very touching because of the setting in Vietnam where soldiers were not as appreciated during the war because of conflicts over getting involved in the conflict. Also it is very important to note because the reporters during the war, were very unjust towards the soldiers in Vietnam, grant it, it was the first televised war in history but they really only showed the brutalities of war but not the great things that came out of the conflict. Many of the events that are shown in the movie cause great despair and angry emotions in me, one such event is when a soldier is burned by their own napalm; as you can imagine, just the look of the burned flesh is enough to churn anyone’s stomach but visualize the soldiers that actually experienced that event first hand and the smell of the burning flesh; it’s enough to make any person cringe in disgust. In movies similar to this, it is so hard to imagine actually being there, with the soldiers of different wars; if the time every came, when I was next to them, I would have so much fear in me I wouldn’t know what to do; I really respect the soldiers that fought and died doing what they thought was right, even if it meant going against society’s thoughts on situations. This movie sticks in my head not just because of the blood and gore of combat but because of the musical score behind it. In life there is not a score that we follow or hear, however in movies, the score helps set the mood in order to foreshadow an event or to help the viewers not be bored by watching the plot unfold; weather if it is a dark, dramatic piece or a happy uplifting song from that era, it helps move the plot along as well as the action occurring.

Some of my favorite films are P.S. I love you, Jumper, and Taken.
Although P.S. I love you makes me upset because she is depressed about him through out the whole movie, I like how viewers can relate to the pain of losing someone special. It is very realistic and it makes you sad along with the protagonist and also makes you nervous about how one is going to handle their love one not being there to protect you. You feel what the protagonist feels and it upsets you as much as it upsets her. The setting is in an apartment just like how a normal couple would start out living (most-likely) and the plot is to figure out how much he really went to show how much he loved her. I thought it was a really touching movie.
Jumper is one of my favorites because it’s a short movie and it’s interesting because it’s different than most normal movies. When you first watch the movie you expect it to be about real things but it’s way different. It seems colorful and very realistic because of the settings in the movie. You see the whole world. At first it makes you think what is wrong with the protagonist having so much power? But you realize that it’s not fair and people realize that. You start to care about the protagonist though because he is falling in love with a girl and no one wants to see him die. So you are on the edge of your seat through out the movie.
Taken is a very memorable movie because the protagonist is a stud! There are so many scenes that he conquers and knows what he’s doing. The coolest aspect of the whole movie is that he fights for his daughter and the viewers want him to find and get his daughter and he knows exactly what he’s doing. Obviously, if this was real life than he would never get her daughter back. There are so many different camera angles. You see how he kills the people in so many different lights. It makes the viewers disgusted on how these bad people can do such a bad thing to all these beautiful ladies. You WANT them to die which most movies, you wouldn’t want any of them to die and it interests me.

Some of my favorite movies are Wizard of Oz, and Cinderella. I love Wizard of OZ because of the message it gives out to kids, and also adults. The message is that everyone should be happy with what they have. I relate with Dorthy the main character because she has a loving family and friends and yet she just doesn’t want to be home. She wants to be at some magical place pretty much where she ends up in Oz. After a terrible tornado picks up her house, which really wouldn’t happen, it makes it really seem like her dream is coming to life. As her house lands in Oz it lands on one of the wicked witches and kills her so the good witch Glenda puts on the magic ruby slippers on Dorthy to protect and make sure she gets to the Wizard of Oz. After she goes through all these dangers like the wicked witch, and flying monkeys to just to go back home. Glenda the good witch tells Dorthy that she didn’t need any help from the Wizard of Oz to go back home it was all in her heart and that she had to learn that she really loved and missed home. Then At the end of the movie she realizes what she all has and is happy with her life. I can relate to this movie so much because I have gone through I situation where I tried to get help from other people but all I really needed was confidence in myself.

My other favorite movie is Cinderella. I also love Cinderella because it is one of my favorite fairy tales. Fairy tales are something that most girls want and dream to have. Cinderella is so good because it shows that hard workers end up with a better life because they deserve it more and work to get a better life, like what Cinderella does. Her father just pasted away right after he got remarried to an unworthy woman and made Cinderella a slave to her two very spoiled daughters. All Cinderella wanted to do was go to a ball and dance with the prince, but her step-mother would not allow it so she gave her a bunch of chores. It was just not fair and then all of a sudden a magical woman appeared and it was Cinderella’s godmother to help her go to the ball. There she danced with the prince but she only had till midnight, of course there is always a twist. Long story short the girl that had such a miserable life after her loving father died she ended up with the best ending with the very handsome loving prince. Then her evil stepmother and stepsisters got nothing. What I learned from this movie is that if you take something away from people you will get nothing in return. But if you help people and really do care for others, then others will care and help you.

A few of my favorite movies are 3:10 to Yuma and I am Legend. I really love these films because they are really interesting and have great plots and acting. They also have characters that you can really connect with. 3:10 Yuma is an excellent movie because you really can get into the characters heads. You can connect with them and you try and understand their situations and their lives. The movie makes you want to know more about them. Also the plot is wonderful. It has so many twist and turns and always has you guessing and leads up to a fantastic ending. The kind of ending that leaves you thinking and questioning like No Country for Old Men. The whole movie makes you question one man and then the ending pretty much made me question the humanity of people and how some people can change. I love that kind of ending in a movie that truly makes you think. I also like the setting of the movie. It is a western style movie which I enjoy. I like the lawlessness of the times and how you can see how one man can stand up and do what’s right and make a difference. This movie is memorable to me mostly because of the ending. I think it is amazing and truly makes me think about the world. How the movie ends with the main antagonist the guy that you are made to hate throughout the whole movie can make a complete change of character. How one man can completely turn on his own people who he has committed countless crimes with all to hold up to help out one man that he owes nothing to.

i dont really watch that many movies because i dont have the attention span to sit through a whole one lol. Of the movies i have seen though 3 really seem to stick out in my mind! the first movie that i really started liking was goodburger. The second movie i really started liking was the replacements. the third and final movie i really became atatched to was i now pronounce you chuck and larry. I really liked goodburger because the tv show was one of my favorites and fast food was always like a treat for a little kid. the movie had the perfect actors for the cast and the plot was brilliant a burger chain rivalry. The second movie was the replacements the movie is so brilliant it is about a football team who all their players go on strike and they have to find replacement players and none of them are currently playing football they are all doing various things, one is even in prison!(work release..). the story line played out exceptionally and the camera angles are also very good. With these certain angles you feel like you are actually experiencing the way the actor feels in the movie. My favorite movie of all time though is i now pronounce you chuck and larry. the two lead actors in there were adam sandler and my dude kevin james. this movie is featured in new york, this plays on my emotion became i am very interested in new york and kevin james portays all the same traits he has in the king of queens show which was a sitcom he did in the early 2000's. i love the way all the actors fit their character so well. the camera angle you feel like you are actually in new york. and it is one of the funniest story lines of all time.

I cannot narrow down my favorite movie. I love any scary movie or comedy. I love scary movies because they keep you on edge and in suspense. You never know what is going to happen next. I also love scary movies because the directors are generally thinking more in depth about the way they have the cameras placed and how they have lighting and effects. Scary movies entertain me by keeping me in suspense and wondering what is going to happen next. I love comedies though because they generally make you laugh. They are usually about things that would not really happen, but would be very interesting if it did. They are good because the actors and actresses are usually well known and seen in many movies. That alone draws a person into a movie. One of the movies I could watch over and over again is The Haunting in Connecticut. This is because it is very interesting. It is about something that could really happen and scare you in real life. The things that happen are unbelievable but makes you want to know more and more about the characters and the locations of the incident. If what happened in that movie were to happen to me, I would be scared to death. I wouldn't know what to do or how I would handle it and I think that is one main reason why I enjoy it so much. Not only that, but it is based on a true story. So someone out in this country had to actually go through that incident. It always makes me wonder if it could happen to me or if it will happen to me.

Of all of the movies i have seen, in my opinion Charlie Bartlett is probably the best movie ever. Charlie moves from a private school to a public school and discovers that life is different in public schools. The reason i like this film is because in order to fit in he confronts a bully who beat him up on his first day of school. He wanted him to help him sell his Ritalin that charlie had got perscribed to him. The kids loved it and he started getting more meds. Charlie got to the top of his school, he even started dating the principles daughter! This movie gives you a inspirational kind of view if you look at it in the way of a kid going from a nerd, geek, low life to a big shot, top dog, fresh kind of kid. Things go wrong when he sells pills to this kid that overdoses on the medication. it was a wake up call for Charlie and he decided to stop selling the pills. Instead he started a sort of theropy session in the bathroom where he sold the pills. One of the reasons i like this movie is the kid reminds me of my friend haha. they have the same style.. Suit coat, t-shirt, and Chuck Taylors. I care about this character because he was a outcast at the start and he made it to his dreams which is explained in the begining so i wont ruin it. But he accomplished his goal to be popular and he got it. And while you are whatching this movie it is all in his perspective so you feel what he feels. which is a kind of hard thing to get out of a movie.

I have many favorite moives, and I find my self at the moive theater every single weakend. Most of the moives I have seen more than once. I believe I enjoy moives so much is because it lets me be someone eles just for just a moment. If I was having a bad day and just wanted to escape i would probally go cuddle up on the chouch and whatch some moives. Most of the moives I have watch do inclued alot of dancing. Mostly because its a moive i can relate to the most. On the other hand i would NEVER watch any scary moives even though i get draged to them all the time. I can not stand watching those moives because I tend to put myself in the moive, and i become the chactor being "possed" as in the moive Parnormal Activty. Or being the woman being chased in the woods in Friday the 13th. Those moives I will never go back to see. On the other hand my favorite moive is Mamma mia. The reason why is again I can realte to the story. Sophie, the main chacter, and her and her mother have a really close relationship, just like my mom and I. The moive goes on about Sophie a very young women that decides to get married, and she is trying to find her dad to give her away. In the end she relazied all she really need was her mom. Anouther heart warming film is new moon. While watching that moive, you put your self in Bella place. Who wouldnt want to be in her place? She has two gourges guys surronding her in the whole intire film! That is just every girls dream. Throughout the moive it becomes this entense thirller. During the moive Edward runs away from her, and the only time she sees him is when she has addrelen. So she becmoes an addrelen junkie. But then she also tends to be warming up with Jacob. Its just mind boggling! Is Bella going to go with Jacob, the warm sensitive guy? Or Edward the cold, akward guy? I beleive why this moive had so many good reveiws is because, every girl would like to have the chance to be between Jacob or edward. It goes to show moives are an everyday experience. Moives help people see what they are not, and who they want to be.

Some of my favorite films, as many other teenage guys would agree with, are action, horror, and comedy films. Law Abiding Citizen is probably my most favorite film of all time. This is my favorite because it is very spontaneous and thrilling; you never know what is coming up in the next scene of the movie. The reason this is a popular movie is it is because about something that people can relate to. It is about a man that takes revenge on someone for killing his wife and is thrown in jail, but still manages to kill people inside of prison. During the movie you ask yourself, “A man is in prison but still committing crimes INSIDE his jail cell? How is this possible??” It keeps you on your feet the entire movie until the big secret is revealed and the bad guy is killed. You care about the characters because you are able to put yourself in their position during the movie with the different camera angles and the intense sound tracks. The bad guy, Gerard Butler, tortures a cop that kills his wife, and gets thrown in jail. During his sentence, he bargains with the warden to get certain things like his iPod and fresh meals in exchange for saving someone’s life that he had put in danger before he was thrown in jail. Until he gets caught, of course. Another movie that I really enjoyed was Avatar, but for different reasons. Yes you can relate to the movie because it is actual humans in the movie interacting with these “blue people,” but it is not practical. There is not a place on Earth that is like that, so you cannot relate yourself to it. The main reason person like this movie is because it is different than any other movie because it fantasizes about what CAN happen if this society was found on Earth. It is different than the plot for any other movie because, although it is not practical, it is something that is desirable. Me, along with I’m sure many other people during the movie, thought to ourselves, “I wish I was eight feet tall like that blue guy and had all those cool animals.” or, “I wish I was those humans who could transform into those blue people and have all of that cool gadgetry.” The end of Avatar is the same as the end of Law Abiding Citizen though, because in the end the bad guy is taken down and life returns to the way it was before this person or persons interfered.

A couple of my favorite movies are Up and The Dark Knight. Up is one of my favorite movies because it has a great plot line. It is the story of a boy who grows up with a dream to be like a famous pilot. He meets a girl who has the same dream and they marry and grow old together. After losing his wife, he finally goes after their dream of finding Paradise Falls by flying his house there. I love balloons, so that is what originally got me to want to see this movie. Floating in the air is an amazing experience and by watching this film, the viewer can almost feel like he is floating along with the old man on the journey. The movie also contains some humor through dogs that talk and a Wilderness Scout, Russell. This movie entertains and delights me. I am able to relate to the main character because he flies with balloons. The viewer cares about the characters because he/she wants to know whether the old man achieves his dream of finding Paradise Falls. You live through the journey with him. It is memorable because I like movies with humor and I like flying.
The Dark Knight is a memorable movie for me because of how intense it is. Once you start the movie you can't stop watching. It is an excellent movie because of how great the acting is and how deep the plot line is. That is one of the main reasons I like The Dark Knight. When watching The Dark Knight, the viewer is captivated by whether the characters will live or not with the Joker going after them. The viewer feels like they are the characters. Much of the movie has a dark setting, which adds to the intensity and mystery of the movie.

It was hard to choose only a few of my favorite movies. My recently added favorite is Combat Diary the Marines of Lima Company. This movie is very moving and makes you think about what our soldiers do for our freedom. This movie includes real footage taken by the soldiers of the war in Iraq. It scares you and makes you really think. It brings emotions out because it brings the war and death to life because it is not just a hollywood faux. This film is memorable because you meet the soldiers who died, their families, and their comrads. Three more simular movies that are classics and favorites for sure include: Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor, and Forrest Gump. All of which are hollywood versions of war and the military but all very good movies that still make you think while entertaining you. The two chicken scences in Pearl Harbor are epic and unforgettable. Some other favorites are A Cinderella Story, The Notebook, and Where the Heart is. All of which are sappy love story with well....happy endings that are quite unrealistic but give you false hopes and dreams yet you still love them. Then there are the classic baseball movies, Field of Dreams and A League of their own, that inspire you and motivate you to dream big and to shoot for the stars and acheive your dreams. All of these are great movies that I can sit and watch time after time. "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get." All of these movies represent that quote from Forrest Gump quite well.

It is hard to narrow all my favorite movies down, but one of my favorite films is "How to Lose a Guy In Ten Days". I like this film because it is a romantic comedy with a comical and intrigueing story line. I love Kate Hudson as an actress I think she is talented and funny. I also love Matthew Mconaughey because he's sexy and an all around good actor. These two popular movie stars together as a couple in this movie make the movie more refreshing and fun. Kate is spunky and Matthew is handsome.

Another one of my favorite movies is Hocus Pocus. I have loved this movie since I was little and watched it on Disney channel everytime it was on. Even on the weekends my sister and I would ask to rent it. This movie is very memorable for me and my sister. I love this movie still because it was about witches and that intrigued me when I was younger.

Another favorite movie was Baby Mama because Amy Poehler is the funniest woman alive. I can't really relate to Amy, but I think she's awesome and it would be sweet to be her for a day. The movie in general was hilarious and lively. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler work well together and the movie wouldn't have been the same without them. This movie was an instant hit at the theaters because these two actresses are an awesome combination and they both draw peoples attention. I have a variety of other favorite films i've seen, but those are the ones that stick out right now. "No Country For Old Men" was an excellent movie to analyze, wasn't too difficult and also interesting.

One of my all time favorite movies is Forest Gump. This movie does it all for me. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, it makes me thing and most of all it makes me wonder. Everytime i see it i learn new things from Forrest. He teaches me alot about how life is. I love how no matter how awful Jenny treats him sometimes, he still completely loves her. I love that he cared so much about Bubba, and Lt. Dan. He gave amazing advice to follow, obviously, and showed me things are always as they seem. It somehow makes things easier to understand if you think about it from Forrest eyes. It makes my life look way to complicated and his so less and he's so much more happy, so it seems. You can't help but care for Forrest because in the beggining you see him as a boy, which makes you bond with him and his mother. You instantly love Jenny because she let's Forrest sit by her, and you absolutely hate the guys who are always causing problems for Forrest, even though he seems not so bothered by it.This plot is set up by Forrest telling people his story on a bus bench and it's about his life, and it's just a great story line. Although it seems simple the stuff that Forrest ends up going through is astounding and so much more adventerous than our lives, so it seems.

Another film i adore is The Count of Monte Cristo. I love it. It's about love, revenge, adventure and money. It's suspensful and romantic at times. It just intrests me and oddly, it shows that a little education goes a LONG ways. This the Count is not a Count at first, but his best friend ends up betraying him and lying to the Minister. The Count is put on an island and his love was sent to marry his best friend. Later while on the prison island he meets a man who teaches him, alot. and finally gives him a map to the treasure. He goes to seek it and meets pirates, and befriends them after a battle. Soon he gets his revenge with his wealth and in the end, gets his son, and the woman he loves. I care about the count because he has family and a woman whom he loves, and unknowningly a child. He's funny and you can relate to him. He is on such a wild adventure that it's exciting for the viewer also.

Some of my favorite movies are the fast and furious movies and the James Bond movies. I think the reason these movies are in my top favorites is mainly because they could actually happen in real life. Some of the stuff is a little bit far out and unrealistic, but in theory they could actually have happened or be happening.
I think when I am watching these movies they make me feel like am actually there and I get nervous when the character is in trouble and I get excited when they are doing something extreme. I like to “become” the character. These movies take you on an adventure that a normal person in their life will never get to. Whether it is because they do not have the chance or they do not have the guts.
These movies are almost like a roller coaster ride. They get your heart pounding and your blood rushing. They can make you excited or nervous or scared. I enjoy taking the ride of the movie. These movies in particular have experiences I would enjoy doing. From racing cars on the street to going on an undercover spy mission. I think these would be awesome to try in real life. The fact that they are illegal will keep me from actually trying them, so the closest I will come is to watch the movie and my brain gets the experience without the risk of injury or arrest.

Some of my favorite movies are paranormal activity and the Notebook. They are comepletley opposite of each other, which helps me put a different perspective on each of them.

Paranormal Activity
This movie is the only movie that seems so real, and is the only movie to actually scare me. Yes alot of movies scare me, but definately not like this. Which is why i enjoy it so much. I love the rush of being scared. It kind of reminds me of no country for old men, because they both have no music and the music is what helps you know what is coming next These movies with no music helps you focus more so you can think about what is coming next with out knowing. A Movie like Paranormal Activity also almost has to make you wanna go into the movie open minded, and i think the director did that on purpose. This is why im so interested in this movie. The camera angle in this movie also makes you feel like you're there because it makes you look like you're looking into the camera. I can somewhat relate to this because i've heard stories about ghosts, which doesn't automatically make me believe in them, but it lets me think more about the movie.

The Notebook
I love this movie because it is so romantic, and what teenager wouldn't what a love life like this? This movie obviously makes it seem like any love could be like this.
so YOU dream about having it. This is why most of us girls love a romantic movie like this movie, and almost makes us cry every time. Another reason why i love this movie, because maybe at first it makes love look so easy, but it also kind of shows how love is difficult. But in the end it shows that their love is meant to happen and meant to last forever. And who doesn't love the ending? A happy, yet very sad ending.

One of my favorite films is BLEACH: The Movie. It's an action adventure film and doesn't have any cheesy, romantic side story. One girl does get especially close to the main character, but it's not in a love-interest kind of a way. The main character is a 14 year old teenager who goes to school, lives with his dad and younger sisters in their home/clinic, and he also saves the world from evil spirits known as Hollows. I like the story because the main character is real. He fights to protect his family, but he can get depressed every once in awhile and needs a kick in the pants to get over whatever is bugging him. The ending of the film is also absolutely amazing. It's depressing, but it's continued for a minute or so after the credits. I can very easily relate to the two protagonists, Ichigo and Senna. Ichigo is the main character I've already mentioned, and he actually has a rough time in school, which I can completely understand. Senna is a loud, playful, tough, yet slightly insecure girl - and she has reasons as to why she's insecure. So I can also understand her. I like the film because it has an odd ending. It's sad, but it's also happy. It had me crying, but smiling. It was very touching.
One flaw that I noticed is that it didn't have many characters from the original TV show in it. There are four main characters in the original TV show, and three show up for, like, ten minutes out of the entire video, so I kind of felt annoyed that they were just left out like that. Other than that it's a wonderful movie and I would recommend it for anyone to watch. (You may want to watch episode one of the TV series to understand some of the issues brought up in the movie though)

My favorite movie of all time would have to be Sex and the City. I love this movie because i love the T.V. show. Sex and the City makes me want to live in New York and live how these women do. Carrie Bradshaw is deffinatly one of my role models and I would love to live a day in her life. I also like the movie because they use the same characters as the T.V. show so it keeps it interesting. The movie was a must see for me because it sums up the last season of the show. I like movies that give you the whole story rather than leave you hanging because i always want to know what happens in the end.

I also like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies because i read the book series and i loved them. I loved the movies because I wanted to see the story play out.

I also enjoy the Harry Potter movies. Harry Potter movies make your imagination come to life. All the sweet things they do at Hogwarts make me want to go there. They have a Hogwarts theme park opening in Florida and I want to go at some point so I can almost experience the movie.

Another favorite is the Hangover. This movie is extremely entertaining and it helps you experience a wild and crazy trip that would most likely never happen to you. I like the begining of the movie and how it sets up the rest of the plot. It gets you interested and pulls you in so you will continue to watch the movie so you know what happens. This movie has charaters with a variety of personalities so you don't get bored. This is a movie you can watch again and again and doesn't get old.

Some of my favorite films consists of the old James Bond movies, where Bond is the action. The films cause you to think he is the hero and the good guy always wins. James Bond is a sterotypical MAN not only is he defeating vilians in Bond like ways, but hes scores with the women in his films. I look at it in a way that the movie is showed in two type of action categories; Guns and fighting then theres his sexual scenes with women. What man/young man wouldnt idolize and be drawned to these films. The way he gets so close to death but yet prevails and uses his smarts to out smart/kill his opponents. He generally wheres a tuxedo which makes him seem classy and drives the finest cars. Wouldnt that be the life! Cars, women, guns, and money. He is a BAMF lol. I really love the high speed car gun fighting too its filled with alot of action and keeps you on your feet wondering what will happen next. Or the sweet moves he cleverly pulls against his foes and in the end he gets the Girl or should i say the girls. Lately i have seen the last two james bond films and i like how the camera places you in the position as if you are there and wittnessing the action right at home. The movie not only lets you to experience the action but take you on an incredible adventure. In those last two movies the character james bond is played by Daniel Craig an amazing actor. I love his work and he did an outstanding job in giving the james bond look and personality and the ladies love his great looks and his seductive features that make ladies mouths water. In my eyes im obsessed with the james bond films and lead you into an investigation and the story plot is well scripted. I can not wait until the next film and i will probably analyze and take greater attention to it next time.

My favorite movie of all time is forest gump. The movie is hilarious in the sense that the main character Forest Gump finds himself in almost all of the famous events in the 1960's and 1970's. In the movie Forest Gump is at first physically and mentally slower then most people. This makes people in a sense hope that he can overcome these roadblocks; which he does. The film is memorable to me because of all the great lines said in the Movie by Tom Hanks who acts as Forest Gump.

Another movie I enjoyed watching was the hangover. The movie's plot is realistic at first because it's about four average guys going to Las Vegas for a bachelor pary. One of the characters, Alan spikes his friends drinks with Roofies. Because of this Alan made another character Doug get lost on a hotel roof. The movie is about three characters trying to find Doug and realizing how crazy of a night they had but were to messed up to remember it. People care about what happens to Doug because nobody likes to hear about a guy dying from having to much fun during his bachelor party. The film became memorable to me when Alan was tasered in the face.

Another movie I enjoyed was Superbad. It is a comedy about three nerdy kids who are trying to get girlfriends that are way beyond their league. This movie also has plenty of great one-liners that will make most who watch laugh uncontrolably. It is amuzing to see the three kids try to be 'superbad' or cool to try to attract these women. Because of how boring the three nerds life has been you have to cheer for them in there quest of finding some entertainment in trying to impress the girls they like.

Some of my favorite movies include Remember the Titans, Step brothers, and Avatar. They are all great movies yet they have nothing in common. They all keep you at the edge of your seat and never have a slow moving part.
Remember the Titans has to be the greatest football story of all time. Who hasn’t seen this movie? This is about one black and one white high school that close and the students are sent to T.C. Williams High School under federal mandate to integrate. Both races are faced to play football together and a lot of tension rises. As the movie gets farther along they start getting close to each other and realize there not so different after all. Eventually many of them become best friends. As the season progresses the team's success caused the community to accept the changes. After the Titans' perfect season, the team and the city were closer than ever. The camera angles in this movie are amazing. You can actually feel the hits as you watch the movie. The man hired to coach the team is Herman Boone played as Denzel Washington. Denzel was the perfect fit for this part. He is a Native American symbol in the movie world.
Step brothers is not like your average comedy movie. Its about two 40 year olds who still live at there house and are forced to move in with each other as Brennan’s mom and Dale’s dad marry. It stars comedy legend Will Ferrell as Brennan and John Reilly as Dale. Every single movie Will Ferrell plays in is all about comedy. He always starts in a funny movie so he fits this movie perfectly. He also stars in Talladega Knights, another really good movie. The whole movie is about them trying to get along. Once they do there your average 10 year old. Trying to make two beds into a bunk bed. Every little detail in this movie has to be funny or it wouldn’t have made this movie so great. The first time I watched this movie I was laughing so hard I almost cried.
Avatar a new movie that just came out proved itself how great it actually is. Cashing in more money than Titanic. When I first went to this movie I didn’t know what to expect and didn’t really know what it was about. As the movie kept going I didn’t want to leave the theater. I was hoping it was never going to end. Avatar has a lot of action to it but also has the romance that even girls like. As the Avatar people teach the outsider there ways it also teaches us as the viewers. There rules and all of there traditions. There isn’t much of a movie like this that’s why it makes it so unique. Who comes up with this stuff? Avatar is the type of movie were I could watch it over and over again and never get enough.

I think what makes movies so intriguing to us are the connections we have to particular movies. I love The Notebook because I'm a sucker for romance flicks. In the movie two teenagers fall madly in love and are so happy but still fight all the time. Many kids can relate to the fights and it gives them a sense of connection in a way. The man also makes a promise to the woman and acheives that promise which gives women a sting of envy. All women want the perfect math that would go to the end of the world and back from them! It's shot to make it look like the movie takes place in the olden days and shows lifestyles of the rich, the poor, soldiers, and hard workers. It fufills every aspect of film making I think. The audience will be rooting for the orginal couple because they just have this chemistry that is so obvious.

Some of my favorite films are The Bourne Ultimatum, Eagle Eye, and I Love You Beth Cooper. The first two are my favorites because of their action and intensity. The last film is an intriguing comedy that I can relate too. In The Bourne Ultimatum, is my absolute favorite movie because of the action and whit used to not only defy the system, but to beat it. The camera angles used are incredible. Most of the film is seen from over the shoulder shots, looking right at what the protagonist is focusing on. If not observing what is in front of him, you see what a bird sees. Hardly ever do you see any other angles but over the shoulder and bird’s eye view. For most of the movie, there is struggle between the protagonist and “the system.” The same idea fits for Eagle Eye as well. The protagonists are pushed to defy “the system” to save the American people. In both of these movies, I can relate to the main characters not as well and in the third movie, but enough to know what it feels like to be stalked and followed by someone or something that is out to kill you. Though being chased by deer and stalked by a mountain lion is not as terrible as having an “asset” out to kill you, it still puts you in an uncomfortable place. In the last movie, I Love You Beth Cooper, the protagonist is graduating from high school, never went you and had fun, always studied and was a nerd to most of the class, and never had the chance to tell the popular girl at school he loved her. This film has a multitude of twists and turns that keep the viewer guessing. There are bouts of true struggle, but for the most part, it is about having a fun time in high school, which I never really had the chance to do. I relate so closely to the protagonist, I thought this was a documentary about my life. I had never had a chance to go out and have fun, it was study and work on projects. This film showed me that there is more to high school than just working hard and succeeding in life, it’s also about getting out and having fun, because it’s only four years and you need to make the most of them.

I hate to say it but most of my favorite movies are chick flicks, very typically of a teenage female. The three that come to mind are The Proposal, The Ugly Truth, and the classic A Walk to Remember. I love all of these films because they each contain love in some aspect. In the Proposal, The Ugly Truth, AND A Walk to Remember the two main characters, male and female, are two of the most opposite people you could image. Though different all have the same plot like most chick flicks, the main characters fall in love. Even though you know what is the outcome the twist and turns are what keep you interested. For example, in the ugly truth another guy becomes invoved which throws everything for a loop keeping you focused on the actors/actress's every move. The author does this to keep you interested, making sure in the theaters you wont want to leave to go to the restroom or get more popcorn. But, in a Walk to Remember the ending isn't so happily ever after like the proposal and the ugly truth, but it still makes me sob every time i watch it to this day. While in the proposal and the ugly truth the author uses humor to enlighten it's viewers, making it less lovey dovey for all the males who get stuck watching them. :)

These three films are the most memorable to me because of how my reaction is to each of them is so different, even though the plot is the same. In the Proposal i get up and dance with the characters and die laughing so hard it kills me. In the ugly truth it amazing me on how blunt the film is, kinda like myself that's why i enjoy it so much. Finally, in a walk to remember the film makes me cry, makes me appreciate everything i have in life, and always makes me want to make a difference in society, just by watching that film.

The Twilight series, The Lord of The Rings trilogy, and West Side Story are some of my favorite movies.
I am in LOVE with the movies Twilight and New Moon, especially after reading the books. I liked both of these movies before I read the books, but found that it was much more interesting to watch them after having read the books. There is so much more you can understand about the characters’ actions and expressions when you have read the books. The Twilight series are the type of movies that most girls and some guys like to watch over and over again. This is so because they are about love being strong through all the obstacles that try to defeat it. Everyone would like to think that this is possible, the idea that love triumphs over all, even if this is not what happens in the real world where. We all cling to the idea, which is why the Twilight series pull us in. When watching the movies you are so relieved when the tension and awkwardness between Edward and Bella leaves because you can see that they belong together and you want it to happen since it doesn’t always in our world. The movies make you think about how much Bella and Edward love each other and how they will do anything to make the other happy and safe. This is something everyone wants in a relationship so it makes us like the movies even more because it gives us hope that we may have something special like they do.
The Lord of The Rings movies are some of my favorites too. When you watch these movies you are put in a whole different world, where elves, dwarfs, and dragons exist; the movies let you escape reality. The Fellowship is on a quest to destroy the ring, although there are many trials of their strength, courage, and friendship, they keep moving toward Mordor to stop Sauron from gaining more power. The trilogy is based on good versus evil. It keeps you interested because you need to know the outcome of the perilous journey; you have to be able to believe that good can overcome evil. The protagonists are easy to relate to because they have qualities that you have or that you admire. Frodo, for instance, is determined to get to destroy the ring once the task has been set for him; you want to be able to do something and finish without giving up. Sam is loyal. He sticks by Frodo’s side until the end; Frodo even gets mad at him and sends him away, yet he goes back to help Frodo. These movies let you into a world where you can use your imagination and be there when people, who poses the qualities that you respect, end the dominion of evil.
West Side Story is a musical with a plot line similar to that of Romeo and Juliet. This movie is filled with fighting, dancing, singing, and romance. Each song has a different emotion and rhythm to go with it. The fighting between the Jets and the Sharks is a dance, the movements all graceful and artistic. Tony and Maria are in love, even though their friends and families hate each other with a passion. This movie pulls me in because of the same idea of love triumphing over all that Twilight has. Tony and Maria’s love for each other is so strong that eventually their families stop fighting, sadly the fighting does not end until Tony is killed; but eventually Tony and Maria will be together in another place. It is easy to relate to Tony and Maria because they are trying to stop their friends and families from fighting, and I am usually the peacekeeper when my friends get into fights. What I love most about this movie how artistic it is; and the songs are very catchy and stay with you.

I really am entertained by Comedy Movies :) They for sure are my absolute favorite of all. I could watch hours of comedian Dane Cook or ventriloquist Jeff Dunham. These films are at the top of my list because they make me laugh. I believe if you view a good comedic movie afterward you feel so good inside. Where as with horror gore and thriller movies you can leave the movie jittery or feeling nauseous. I do not find enjoyment in feeling nauseous or scared. I fancy feeling jubilant and chipper. For comedians to do their job, they must make their jokes relate to their general audience. When the comedians relate you, the audience, to the person in the joke or story, you will suddenly care about the character and what happens to them. These certain comedians stay fresh in my mind because my friends, family, and I quote them daily.
Some of my other favorite movies are the classics Disney Movies such as Lady and the Tramp and Cinderella, but I adore the newer Disney films being; Finding Nemo, Up, Wall-E, The Incredibles, and Cars. However I also enjoy the more action motivated featured films Seven Pounds, Deja Vu, and Eagle Eye. These Disney films are some of my favorite in the respect that they are just happy all ends well films that will never get too gory and will always have a laugh in them somewhere. I can also watch these movies with my entire family including my little brother and sister and not have to worry if what they are watching is acceptable. The excellent computer animation in the newer Pixar Disney movies makes them seem very realistic and believable. Of course you must count out the talking fish, dogs, cars, birds, etc. However, the personification of these objects and animals make these movies so successful towards the younger America. They want to play pretend and go on adventures and know what it is like to be a dog or a car. They have Imaginations that are running rampant and I believe that Disney helps steer them in an honorable direction.

One of my favorite movies of all time is "The Departed". I would say the reason that I love it so much is simply because it is the Irish kicking in teeth and taking names. It's absolutely BA. And it makes you think so much more than just action flicks that only have a "shoot 'em up" kind of plot. It's deeper. The first time you watch it, you have to pay close attention to the characters, the dialog, and the relationships between the characters otherwise you'll get lost in the entangled mess of lies and deceit that they all must do to protect themselves. The movie is easy to "get lost" in because it really involves the viewer into the story of good cop looking for the bad cop and the bad cop trying to stay hidden from the good. And even though they are cops, they seem thuggish deep down. Both men grew up in hard areas of Boston and have family history of gang relations. They both know how to fight, and fight well may I add. They are both witty and very deceptive, but then again they need to be to do the business they do. The movie is full of twists and turns that you don't expect and the relationships are so closely wound together that it's incredible that the two men who are playing cat and mouse don't realize each other earlier.
Another movie that has had a huge effect on my life is "The Boondock Saints". It's another movie about some awesome Irishmen who go around and exterminate all the bad men in, once again, BOSTON!!!! But this time it's not the law they're working for. They're boss is God. They use the ten commandments as their flat rate of dead or not. You break the law of God and you best look over your shoulder to make sure these two sleak assassins aren't behind you saying a prayer for you, and preparing to send you to where you belong.

The list of my favorite movies doesn't read very long, but when I like a movie, I truly love it. One that comes to mind is Reservoir Dogs. It's so dark that it can make simple acts of murder more disturbing than a Saw movie could ever hope for. Watching a guy lay in the back seat of a car while bleeding out of his gut and barely mumbling out words in a complete scare for his life can really leave an impact. Also, I love how this movie, along with others from Tarantino, isn't in chronological order. The chapters are merely a look into each character. It may sound confusing and like not enough killing, but a viewer can really get to know who and what he or she is watching. This film is memorable for many reasons, one is probably because it provided me with my first time ever watching a cop being tied down to a chair and having his ear slowly cut off with Stuck in the Middle with You playing on the radio in the background. Tarantino couldn't have picked a more fitting song. Another thing about this movie, it's totally up to the viewer to feel bad for the undercover cop, or to totally despise him for what he did to the rest of the randomly colored men. Another movie I really like is Heavy Metal. It's a funny title to me now because to today's standards, all the music in this movie isn't metal at all. The attitude of it however, couldn't be more metal. I love the protagonist in this movie. There is one problem about that statement though; there is no central protagonist. The main character is a green ball that travels through all time, all galaxies, and all demensions. It is the sum of all evil. Anyone who comes in contact with it will soon have their life ruined forever, and everyone in the movie thinks it's an extremely valuable rock from space. Some even think it can grand god-like powers to those who posess it! Quite the contrary is the truth of it. People die from it, become posessed to kill from it, and get thrown into different dimensions from it throughout this collection of short stories. It's all tied together though, with the green evil showing one girl what he has done to so many people throughout time and worlds. The movie is totally drawn by various comic book artists and that's the way it should be. The last movie I'll mention is Casino. Oh my god, this movie is awesome. It's a very long movie that moves slowly, but with every word from the changing narrators, Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci, the story grows so much that the viewer's attention isn't able to be drawn away. It doesn't matter if someone dies, or simply gets a phone call in this movie. Everything shown is equally penetrating to the deepest parts of the mind observing. After watching the movie and being reminded by yourself that this stuff happens every day, you'll never think of Las Vegas the same.

SAM SEYDEL PERIOD 1 sorry its a little late just got back from pierre.
i like the movie super troopers because not only is it hilarious it shows or tries to show that not all the cops out there in the world today are out to get you some are just trying to earn a living and support their families. Also another great film that i will watch anytime is we were soldiers because this film not only shows the heroic people in our world but those who arent scared to go fight for freedom for the us and other countries.. both of these films affect me one because i feel that all cops should act like those from super trooopers because today some of the cops in brandon are out to get you not to try to help but to make you get in trouble in a sense. and we were soldiers because my grandpa went to nam and also because i think that it is right that america and others know what the people in are armed forces go through when they fight for freedom and liberty. GOD BLESS AMERICA

I am a chronic film watcher and i like a wide array of films. Older ones mostly the newer film trend is shooting and loud explosions. They lack the touch and storyline/flow of the older movies. Movies such as: Casino, The big lebowski, The boondock Saints, many more but these 3 were the first in my mind. The movie casino whoa man its a long one but the story line goes on sort of a roller coaster these criminals start out at the bottom with practically no money and go to las vegas and create an empire (a casino) and it chronicles the up and down of the people as you can imagine at the end the empire crumbles before aces eyes "the dude who starts it initiall" and it is a gruesome end to his lifes work. I love the big lebowski because well theres so much too love bowling, the dude, california, haha the hotel california and well the movie starts in a bowling alley or well actually it starts in the dudes house but it basically is centered around a bowling allley and somehow they get into a ransom situation and the dude has to fix everything and its hilarious. Finally the boondock saints because well it is just a masterpiece of a mafia war. The italian mafia clashes with the russian mafia these two men or saints veritas and aequitas think that god is telling them to kill these high profile gang leaders and it is a wonderful movie with deep deep meanings and is one of the all time greatest films ever made at least i sure as heck think so!

Meagan Donovan - just got home form pierre, so sorry!

One of my favorite films is PS I Love You. I like this film because it makes me cry, laugh, drop my jaw, stare in shock, wish for a wonderful husband someday; it is an emotional roller coaster. I like this aspect because being a teenager is the same way. Some days we cannot tell whether we want to wear sweats or jeans, and it seems like such a big deal. I am so drawn to the protagonist because of the life she lives, and her experiences because they are easy to relate to. Nearly everyone has experienced a death, and my heart goes out to her. And even though her husband has passed and we don’t see him in the film much, he is also deeply cared for, as the film is centered around his presence, not his actual being, which is also an attractive aspect to me. He not only had an foreign accent, but also is gorgeous, sings, loves his spouse like crazy, and would do anything for her…and dies of cancer and leaves her clues to a happier life without him to cope? A+ husband material. The film is memorable for how absolutely wrapped up I get in it when I watch it, and the pure romance it streams into my mind, projecting imagery of what my ideal love life might become someday.
I also love the movie Enchanted. I realize this is a children’s movie, but it also reaches out to adults, which I like. I laughed, and I cried. It is an awesome movie. I like the fact that it is musical while humorous at the same time. Princess Giselle is easy to care so much about because I have been lost before, just as she has. Granted it was not in New York City, but it was in Lincoln, NE and I was scared out of my mind. I also crave just getting away from everything some days, and this literal fairytale life Giselle is living in real life makes it seem possible to have a storybook day when the going gets rough. McDreamy plays an excellent role as father and very well-off monetarily speaking business man whom just happens to be the most eligible bachelor in town. I like to think of him this way because I find it attractive when men are good with kids, and it never hurts to have a significant other that also has a little cash to throw around. The single dad role makes him seem vulnerable, which makes me care about him. The plot is somewhat predictable, but the romance intertwined with the villain trying to mess everything up and funny things that happen along the way make me not care.

One of my favorite films would have to be the new movie Avatar. I like this film because it has a new world and is full of adventure that doesn't happen in everyday life. Life is boring when you look at it compared to a movie and by watching this you and I both can experience something supernatural and have some sort of excitment from the average joe's point of view. You can look deeper into this movie and see that it is very similar to the way American society is taking because of some mineral or gold in the land. It shows us how maybe the Native Americans might of felt and what we did to them except in a more modern aspect.

One of my favorite movies would have to be fireproof. Its not really a scary/comedy, but its a movie with alot more in it then just made up information. This movie inspires me to be a better person, to stay out of trouble and to listen to my parents. I care about what happens to the actors/actresses because its a movie that shows affection to everyone in it. The plot and just story behind this movie is what kept me interested in watching it until the end. Its memorable for me because it shows how little things can go along way.
Another movie that would be my favorite would be Thirteen, what kept me interested in this movie is that everyday this kind of stuff happens, even in the school. It has a very good story in this movie. I care about these characters because I know that out there, somebody is hurting like them.

I really enjoy The Dark Night, The Ringer, Trans Formers, Dejavu, Cloverfield, I am Legend, all of the Harry Potter films and National Treasure 1& 2. For the most part I like these movies and they are my favorites because they are all are filled with action, suspense, and make one think. These movies have awesome effects, good camera angles and placements. Dejavu is a movie that makes you think and wonder a bunch. The way the plot is set out for the film we know how the film should end because it is the start of the movie. Watching the movie for a second time I was able to pick out and notice many more areas in the film the director had placed important pieces for one to begin to put the film together within their head. You want the protagonist(s) to be safe, you relate to them in everyday life and they are more like you. The protagonist is more likely to go through struggles in a more realistic fashion. One wants the protagonist to be safe and ones feelings are going to go towards the protagonist rather than the antagonist. Cloverfield starts out in a New York City apartment. This couple is living a normal life, having fun and enjoying their life together. They are then having a going away party and just as tension begins with the couple the power begins to flicker. The movie is filled with heart-racing experiences and exhilaration. The guy with the video camera ads humor to the movie which allows one to laugh while being scared waiting on what comes next. When I first saw this movie I hated the ending. The movie was so exciting, frightening, and thrilling but just ended. I left the theaters so frustrated wanting to know what happened next and if anyone had survived the monster. This ending was similar to that of No Country for Old Men. I remember this movie because of the intensity and the ending. After watching the movie for the second time I found myself thinking more about the movie rather than the ending. I have heard that this movie is STILL ALIVE and there should be a sequel coming out sometime this year.

Some of my favorite films are Avatar, Gladiator, Sweeny Todd, and Terminator. The films are my favorite because they transport me to a world that is much more exciting than my life. They show an alternate reality or a past that is filled with action. These movies make me want to be there right in the action. I normally don't think about how the protagonist relates to my life. How the characters are presented to me really affects why i care what happens to them. If the protagonist is an underdog then i am more likely to care about the character. I enjoyed the setting in these movies because they are much different than my own. This helps me like them because I don't have to look at the same scenery as I do almost every other day of my life. In Avatar the scenery was very dreamlike with vibrant colors almost to the point of neon. These films are memorable to me because of the plot that each one presents to me. Each of the plots are much very exciting to me.

Some of my all time favorite films would have to be Red Line, The Notebook, and all the other action car racing shows. I like these films because i'm into cars, expecially fast cars that are really nice. I like The Notebook mainly for all the memories i have with it, and how i don't want to lose those. They affect me by mainly getting me pumped, i just want to run outside, hope in my car and take off like they do on the show. Than life smacks me in the face and lets me know that you can get into huge trouble for that, and not only can i get into trouble, I have no idea how to handle or drive a car like that. I have a passion for the characters in these movies because I respect them and what they do, and also the fact that they can play their parts like none other, surprises me. The only reason I believe i like these films is for the cars and watching them race streets and put themselves at danger, quite exciting i believe. These films are memorable for me for many reasons. I've watched these films multiple times, the racing ones are usually with all my buddies and we all get into the movie. The Notebook is my only true memory of my brother because it was his favorite movie. I suppose I'm into these movies is because i wish to own a really fast car someday and just trick it out to where it can do a quarter of a mile in 10 seconds or less.

A few of my favorite films would be _Avatar_, any Adam Sandler movie, _The Sandlot_, and _The Hangover_. All of Adam Sandler's movies are filled with some of the most hilarious material I have ever heard or seen. Most of his films arent only funny, they also relatable events in them. He almost always ends up falling in love with a girl who's name starts with a V, dont know why that is. There is a plot ath is relatable to some people in his movies.

_Avatar_ is so amazing because it has the plot that everyone expected from the director after the three years it took to make it. He puts so much information in the video that you would have to watch it over and over again to realize every subtle little hint that he put in the movie. That's what makes the movie great and makes people want to see it over and over again in theaters. The movie has the love in it and the moraly correct person who ends up saving the day like in most movies but it's the effects and thought process that the director puts you through that makes you truely appreciate the movie. If you dont appreciate the movie then you dont have the thought compacity to think beneath the picture on the screen.

_The Sandlot_ is one of the greatest sports movies ever. It has what every kid in America did when they were younger in it which is go swimming, play some baseball, and ending up with something in a place that it shouldnt be. Maybe there wasnt a killer dog across the fence of where we hit our baseball's but none the less it was scary going to get that baseball from the neighbors yard. Every teen could and can relate to the movie now and forever which is why they try to make sequals of it which do the original film no justice but they still sell.

My favorite types of movies are action movies. They seem to just keep me hook the whole time because i'm always wondering whats going to happen next and I believe thats what the film writers try to accomplish. Some of my favorite movies are The Hurt Locker, Bourne Ultimatum, and Defiance. In The Hurt Locker the camera angles and positions are amazing. They show a lot of different points of view in a single scene. In a sniping scene they show the targets through the scope of the Bomb Tech that has to take over the sniper due to some deaths. Then they'll show the insergents point of view through his sniper. In another scene they show the Bomb Tech's view from his bomb helmet while he's is working on defusing some bombs. Also the camera shakes during explosions along with the earth. This makes me feel like I am shook from the explosions or I feel like i'm sniping. This is very similar to the Bourne movies. In one scene the camera angles switches so much it must have taken them a week to put a 30 second piece together, but again it makes me feel as if i'm the one in the deathmatch. In Defiance, the main characters are jewish brothers and they think differently about their survival situation in WWll. At first its their family in the woods but they end but taking more and more Jews along with them as they show up. Zuis wants to leave the rest of the Jews to save himself so he ends up fighting with the russian's, while the other brother (i forget his name) isn't going to leave the Jews by themselve because he is scared they will not survive. The situation forces me to think that Zuis is selfish and respect the crap out of the other brother for giving the other Jews hope. In the end he saves in brother in a battle with the Jews and they all live happily ever after. I am a fan of all kinds of endings because i feel they all have an affect on me. In Bourne they always leave you hanging, wanting more. In the Hurt Locker its similar, The Bomb Tech leaves his family for another tour in Iraq. Making him a brainwashed badass in my mind. Defiance is just a remarkable story that turns out to be a miracle how they survived.

My favorite types of movies are generally movies that I am able to relate my life to. Although I enjoy the thrill of a psychological thriller, I like 'real' movies better. Some of my favorite movies are Sharing the Secret, The Green Mile, Painful Secrets, Odd Girl Out, For the Love of Nancy and Hunger Point to name a few. Personally, I get much more into a movie if it relates to me as an individual. I like how the movies I listed, pertaining specifically to my life circumstance, how they depict the struggles in a truthful, realistic manner, not in a way of mocking or one sided but they tell the whole story-such movies can also helped loved ones and those close to you better understand your point of view if they were to also watch the movie. The movies have also done a great deal to inspire me...not in always the right direction but they have inspired me to become something, for better or worse. The reason there is so much emotional involvement between the viewer and the movie or the characters is because those who have been in the low point that the characters are depicted to be in feel sympathy toward them, the feel what they feel, hurt by their pain, sad from their fears...it's a psychological rush...but for what? the movies are what you make of them.

One of my all time favorite movies would have to be Avatar. Avatar is one of my favorite movies because of how realistic everything was. It is not every day you see nine foot tall blue people running around. This movie was very long, which a lot of people hate, but the great plot and overall entertainment in the movie had people, including me of course, wishing that it would never stop. This movie was very different compared to most of the movies today. It was very anti militaty and pro environment. The reason why I cared so much about the protagonists of the movie is because you always want the good guys to win everything. The movie go it so the military looked like a jerks. Nobody likes to see the jerks win anything, unless you are a jerk yourself. The setting of the movie really made an impact on most people and me because it was on a totally different planet. It seemed like a dream where you could just go run, if you do not have working legs, and also fly on birds which would be a lot of fun. I will remember this film for a very long time because of how realistic the Na'vi people were and just how entertaining it was.

Another one of my favorite movies is Iron Man. This is one of my favorite movies because of the plot, the acting by Robert Downey Jr., and also the action packed fighting scenes. This movie is entertaining from the beginning to the end. The fighing scenes are very cool but they also sneek in some humor, which I really like about movies like this one. I care about the outcome of Tony Stark/Iron Man because that is what the movie gets you to think and want. The plot of this movie is great because of how it starts out with Tony Stark getting kidnapped by terrorists and he ends up escaping be making a suit that flew him out of there. In the beginning you think that just the terrorists are bad but Tony Stark's boss is the one who got him kidnapped. I will remember this movie for a long time because of the action and great acting and just the way it ends with a big cliff hanger.

FROM L. HIEB, WHO SENT ME THIS ON TIME:

My two favorite movies are “Angels in the Outfield” and “The Notebook”
“Angels in the Outfield” brings sentimental values to a modern setting. Roger is a foster child whose irresponsible father promises to get his act together when Roger's favorite baseball team, the California Angels, wins the pennant. The problem is that the Angels are in last place, so Roger prays for help to turn the team around. Sure enough, his prayers are answered in the form of angel Al and, before you know it, the Angels' rude manager is watching in amazement as his team starts making the plays -- with the help of angels visible to the audience only as glowing special effects. My dad and I used to watch this movie when I was a child; I think that is why it has a special meaning to me. We ALWAYS watched this. Also the soundtrack to this movie perfectly features the events that occur in the movie that it is truly inspiring. You get attached to the characters and hope that the baseball team wins so that Roger can be with his family again. But in the end, everything works out in a better way. I also like how faith and God is portrayed in this movie. It is not over the top and would make some uncomfortable. It is a perfect movie for a family. The reason I KNOW this is one of my favorite films is because I could honestly watch it everyday and not get sick of it, or not feel inspired.
“The Notebook” however, is about a young woman who comes to the coastal town of Seabrook, North Carolina in the 1940's to spend the summer with her family. Still in her teens, Allie Hamilton and meets local boy Noah Calhoun at a carnival. On the spot, Noah senses that he and Allie are meant to be together. Though she is a wealthy debutante and he a mill worker, over the course of one passionate and carefree summer in the South, the two fall deeply in love. The soundtrack is also a powerful feature in this film, as well as the ocean setting and dusk summer night feel. Because this movie has the power to move me to tears every time, I enjoy it and consider it one of my favorites. I think everyone can relate to this movie even if they have not been in love. Because love is such a powerful emotion, after watching this movie, you want to find a love like Noah and Allie’s and that is why you can relate to them. After learning more about deconstruction of films, I think that we could deeply analyze our favorite movies to a deeper level as to why we enjoy them so much.

One of my favorite movies is Mean Girls. This movie is hilarious, it appeals to teens mostly, but it calls all ages to the movie. Everyone can relate. I personally like the film because it relates to the high school scene. Everyone likes to see what other high schools are like; and this one is the stereotypical high school full of jocks, sluts, brats, losers, etc. All the students just want to try hard to fit in. Of course there are the "popular girls" that everyone wants to be. That's who the movie centers around. It shows the way those girls act. And it's definately not nicely. It affects me by making me make sure I don't act like that, I don't want to treat someone like that, or be treated like that. But you can't help but love the characters. They're hilarious, even though they're cruel. The sarcasm and jokes throughout the movie grab you. It's very much like high school in real life. I can't say I'm a 'mean girl', but everyone has they're mean days. But overall I'm not like the main characters, I don't care if I fit in or not. The setting makes all high schoolers love it. Every day students go to high school, and they get to see what these particular students do everyday. The other settings include parties. We all go to them, and we can all relate to the way they act. We don't want to admit it, but we do all have traits that the characters portray. Overall, I love this movie. I can watch it over and over again, and NEVER get sick of it!

My favorite types of films are musicals and romantic comedies. I love musicals because they're just fun! Music and dance are things that i'm very passionate about, so films that include those features intrigue me. The people who star in them inspire me to be a better singer, dancer and overall performer. Also, the music is quite catchy. The fact that its normal for a bunch of people to just break out into song and dance makes me wish my life was like that...that we all just knew exactly what to sing at the right moment and the right moves to go along with the song. I love romantic comedies because well i'm a hopeless romantic. These movies make me want a more romantic life and have even heightened my expectations for a boyfriend. I'm also a sucker for a happy ending, another reason these type of movies are so addicting for me. I like that romantic comedies are able to mix two genres that you wouldn't necessarily put together naturally. They show that romance and love doesn't always have to be this rush of passion thats always perfect...sometimes its just funny and people don't always say or do the right things, or plans go awry. Both of these types of films almost always have happy endings. They usually have quirky, interesting characters that steal your heart and make you wish they were real in your own life. I usually am able to relate to protagonists in both types of films. I want everything for the characters to turn out the way they want, or at least the way that'll make them happy. I always get very involved in films when i watch them. Musicals are most memeorable to me because i've grown up with them...they'll always be my favorites.

I have alot of favorite movies, but I usually enjoy movies that are not typical, or that are very different from my life. Movies that are different provide a little "get-away" for me. Somewhere I can go and be back in an hour and a half. Movies such as Enough, The Green Mile, and Changeling are some of my favories simply because they are different, and do not follow the formula. The Green Mile, for example is almost odd. There is an enormus black man who gets wrongly accused of murder is sentenced to death (unusual, but not that unusual), but he also has a special power. This is just odd. Not only does this movie take you back in time and help people understand what life was like then, but it also takes you to a different place, a place many have not visited befor. The Green Mile does not end the way people would like it to. John still has to die, and life goes on. This is also the case in Changeling. The mother never finds her kid, we wish that she does, but there is simply no hope for him. I enjoy movies that take me places, wether its where I've been before or where I have never experienced.

Done by Hagen, on time:
Some of my favorite films are the Bring It on Series, Fired Up, Paranormal Activity, Waiting, John Tucker Must die, The Hangover Dead Silence, and many scary movies. I like Bring it on and Fired up because they are cheerleading movies and I love cheering, the first Bring it on shows how it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to come up with a routine in order to compete. Waiting is a great movie, its full of hilarious scenes and anyone who has ever worked in food service I think would find it funny the setting is in a restaurant and you can just relate to the workers if you have dealt with picky guests and hectic nights before. John Tucker Must Die has always been a good one I just really like it and I actually have a personal experience that was sort of like the movie so I find it funny. Paranormal Activity and Dead Silence are very good movies because they actually scare me unlike a lot of scary movies. I do not like ventriloquist dolls or clowns and Dead silence is full of them. And Paranormal Activity can just creep anyone out if you believe in ghosts and you can really feel for the characters because they seem so normal the director meant for it to look like a documentary. I think you connect with the characters more then if they would have had a film crew and it wouldn’t have been so personal. The hangover is one of the best movies ever made it is so funny and just packed full of great one liners that anyone no matter how old you are will enjoy. Your able to relate to the people in the hangover because who wouldn’t want to have an amazing night in Vegas? Maybe not to the extent they did but still.

Some of my favorite films include: A Walk to Remeber, The Notebook, Black Beauty, Step Up, Save the Last Dance, The Lake House, The Blue Lagoon, Ella Enchanted, Bring it On..Basically I enjoy either either films involving some kind of dance or films that have been based on books. I like to read and compare my opinions on the books and the movies. Often people say that the book is always better than the movie, but I disagree. Sometimes I like the movie more than the book. For example comparing A Walk to Remember, Ella Enchanted and The Notebook I prefer the movies over the books because the movies seemed to have a lighter and happier atmosphere; hile Black Beauty, Where the Red Fern Grows and Old Yeller I prefered the books because they offered greater detail. It all depends on your personal point of view.

Almost every movie I own has dancing as the main theme. Dancing is my passion;its something that I love to do and something that I am good at. I believe that dancing is about expressing yourself and being who you are. One of my favorite movies of all time is "Dirty Dancing: Havana Night" and during the movie one of the main characters say that dancing is about being exactly who you want to be in that moment. When I dance I can be anything. My movies that involve dancing always tell that story. The characters are often expected to be something that they dont want to be, and for brief moments of time when they dance, they can forget about everything and just lose themselves in the music. My love for dancing connects me with the characters who find peace in dance. Some of the experiences that the characters are put through I know nothing about, but I do know about the relief that dancing can bring to a weary, confused and constricted soul.

The setting of a movie is what grips me from the start. If a movie starts off with high energy (Bring it On) Im pumped to get to know the characters. Or maybe it starts off magical (The Lake House) Im on the edge of my seat wondering what could happen now. On occation the movie starts off sad (Save the Last Dance) and I want to try and understand the pain inflicted on the character. To be perfectly honest I like the standard predictable plot best. If the plot has so many twist and turns that Im going "Huh?" at the end of the film I feel very disappointed. Even though the plot may be easy to follow and you know what's happening next I can still act surprised. It's the same effect I have when I watch movies over and over and over again; I can still feel like I am watching the movie for the first time. Judging on whether or not the plot is predictable, or if you agree with the choice of setting, or if you think that books are always better than movies is all the viewers choice. It is either their loss or gain.

some of my favorite films include Australia, Sea Biscuit, and Second Hand Lions. these films are among my favorites because they really intrigue me. Every time i watch them i feel like im right there with the characters in the movie. In some aspects i can relate to the characters the struggles they go through and the decisions they are forced to make throughout the movie always seem to engulf me into the film and make me wonder what i would do if i were in the same situations. how would i handle it? My mom constantly lieing to me, breaking my leg and loosing everything ive worked for, or just trying to beat the “bad guy”, they all make me really think about what life was like back then and how I would handle it. Could i? could I get through some of the things theses characters have? Every time I watch them I am engulfed into each scene and left thinking about the situations and events that happen. I enjoy intriguing plots and beautiful scenery, it takes me to a place that is beautiful, exciting, and new. Something that sparks my immediate interest. I think we as a people love movies so much because it takes us places we will most likely never get to go or see or experience. Its our 2 hours of escape form everyday life. I know that’s why I love films, they are an escape to excitement and a different life, which everyone likes now and then, a little break.

I would have to say that some of my favorite movies would have to be The Dark Knight, Shooter, and Super Troopers. These movies keep you guessing and wanting more up till the very end. The types of movies that I like have very complex plots and require a lot of thought to full understand and comprehend. Super Troopers is hilarious because the idea of cops being that laid back and unprofessional to me is extremely amusing, that is very ironic. Shooter is brilliant because the complex plot is constantly changing. The Dark Knight is presented in a way to suggest that we should question is Bruce Wayne, Batman or is Batman, Bruce Wayne. This movie also goes deep into psychology and begins to question morals. Writers make us care about batman because he was a boy who lost his parents to a thug in a dark alley. These movies use brilliant camera angles and lighting to bring out emotions that the director wants us to feel in that scene; example The Dark Knight, the scene when joker first gives his speech about how he got the scares to the gangster just before he kills him show the grittiness of situation, fear, and how crazy the joker really is. I like Shooter because it is very realistic because they don't try to pull James Bond crap, one man taking on an army with nothing more than a pistol, stuff like that doesn't happen. Super Troopers is just the most random things you will ever see cops do. We care about the cops on Super Troopers because they are hilarious and are going to lose their jobs. We can relate because them are human they make mistakes like we can and have a ridiculous sense of humor. Dark Knight is a gritty, griping movie that forces us to ask ourselves questions about the way that people are.

most of my favorite films have to do with military films such as jar heads, black hawk down, and platoon. these military films are some of my favorite becuase of the detail they give of the main character. these films try to get the viewer to relate to the main character through flashbacks or narrations of his or her past life and the extreme emotions shown during high tense moments, such as battle scenes or times of when they lose a war buddy and such. these types of films focus on the soldier as a person more than the soldier as a fighter. these films show emotion and personality in the characters showing that soldiers are more than just a mindless fighting, blood thirsty machine. also, i believe that these films get me to care for the soldiers cause in some cases i can imagine myself as one of those many main characters in the films. most of which i feel a connection with the protagonists.
in other films such as james bond: casino royale and watchmen, they are who we all want to be. in the case of james bond...good with the women, super smart, the best at his job, a license to kill bad guys and save the world. who wouldnt want that? as far as watchmen, all kids dream of being superheros when they grow up whether it be the power to blow stuff up with a flick of the finger or be indestructable, everyone wants to be a super awesome hero...but this film is one of my favorites because it shows the darker side of heros, it shows how society would deny them because of their oddity of power than embrace them. it shows the psychotic nature of them. shows you how they can change into monsters and even lose their minds.
Films i highly like are ones that i can relate to the main character, want to be them/it, and/or movies that are intense and real.

Some of my favorite movies include the Pirates of the Carribean movies, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and other movies like "Wanted" and "Independence Day". I like movies that are epic and almost make you feel for the characters, whether they are happy or sad or in some other mood. These moods are created through music and setting and events that happened earlier. In The Lord of the Rings movies each character has there own piece of music that goes with them. It can effect who your supposed to be paying attention too. The music is dark and ominous whenever something bad is about to happen or you find out what the enemy is doing. The mood is usually lightened when the group is safe from danger, light and heavenly music plays that just makes you yourself feel safe. Other effects include the rewind effect in "Wanted" in the beginning and the End when Wesley's dad shoots the guy on the rooftop, the times stop when the bullet has just penetrated through the mans head and then rewinds showing how far the bullet traveled to hit its target. Also when they curve the bullet and show the bullet itself in slow motion, it adds to the action in the shooting sequences. All in all i love movies that are "Unreal" with crazy and impossible things happening in every corner.

ONe of my favorite Films are _ Transformers_ Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen_ The first Transformers movie had Sam (Shia Lebeouf) working hard in school to get his first car. His dad is so cheap that takes him to some cheap autosale to get a car under 3,000 dollars and somehow he ends up purchesing a car of the transformer named Bumblebee. Later he meets Mikaela played by sexy Megan fox. Bumblebee was on earth because the Autobots were trying to fight the Decepticons who had hidden the spark of life, a cube called the All Spark on earth. At the end of the movie the spark was destroyed when Sam rammed it into the chest of Megatron, the leader of the Decepticons. the second movie is Two years later we have Sam in college and the action starts agian but with new robots. I love Transformers 1 and 2 . and if they showed megan fox and her sweet body to all the world so be it. i have been a fan of them since they appeared as cartoons on tv. it shows that even machines can do whats right even thoe humans can not. it shows the good and evil in not only this world but if the powers to be would let us know about other worlds to. imagination is what makes you love or hate any movie.Another movie that i like is _Gladiator_ award winner, came out 2000 and advetually capture my love for blood and love at the same time.

one of my favorite films is fight club, because it reflects the positive side of anarcy. the morale of the story is to find meaning in life through destroying old values and creating new ones, master morality vs. slave morality, the overman, and, of course, the will to power.

The process of fighting oneself and fighting others relates to the will to power--which, while a theory of everything, involves the collision of forces and the success of the stronger. Males in the film find a fight club so appealing because to them, it is a cure to the loneliness inherent in consumer capitalism. The fight club offers white collar office workers something their typical jobs cannot. Winning or losing a fight does not matter because extreme pleasure or pain makes the male fighter feel strong and alive. Even in defeat one has extended oneself.
another good movie is brokeboke mountain. its love between two men.
Their lifelong affair is crushed at nearly every turn by the conformist demands of the heterosexual world, and by their own inability to accept that they are gay and truly in loveThey were emotionally gutted, early in their lives, by the recognition that, to be themselves, they would have to fight to the death against the entire world — a world who would always fight back harder, and would always win. movies always have more than what it seems. its always good to look more into a film

my favorite film is actually avatar. it has the most realistic animations ever and it shows how there are other things out there besides human beings and americans, how that we need to care more about other things as people. it has the same kind of theme as no country for old men, it show that our world is a bad corrupt place with ppl only looking for a way to better themselves. in avatar the u.s. military is going for a power source that is under the life tree of the avatar ppl. but even though our world is bad there are still some good ppl in it like the main characters who try to save them and be with them and have a better life, they dont kill animals because they can, they let them live because the beings deserve to live just like the rest of us and there is space for everyone on our planet and in our galaxy. at first u start to care about the main guy because he is a paraplegic but right from the beginning it shows him not wanting any help from anyone because he is strong enough to do stuff himself despite his disability and this gives u a stronger connection the empathy because with empathy u only sympathize with the pain but when he does stuff without help you get to see how he's strong and it makes you feel proud for him and happy that he can still do himself despite wut ppl think about his condition. the most important thing that i loved about it was that it didnt automatically show wut the avatar ppl were about and who they were, it made u get into the movie and pay attention so you could see wut was going on and let you connect to them for how they are strong and a caring race of beings.

my favorite films consist of mostly action and comedy's romance films are not for me i just to like all that fake crap cause life never works out that way in movie's you never can live happaliy ever after. These films are amusing to me because i can relate to them and alot a way's. I like to do fun things do stunts on tramps, ill basicly do almost anything once unless it's life threatening. I enjoy making ppl laugh and messing around playing jokes on ppl.I also enjoy killing movies idk why i just do like dawn of the dead and stuff like that i just get really into it. Even tho some of the scarey movies i watch get me thinking at night time when im by myself or in the woods with my friends and i think of the move wrong turn then it starts to scare me a bit but i still love watching em. I get into all these films and there characters because i really get into the movie and i put myself in there shoes and think what would i do in there situation and how would i react to what is going on. All of the dawn of the dead movies are very memorable for me beacuse thats like the only thing my dad and brother had in common we alway's watched this films together and had a great time other then these's films i had really nothing in common with my dad and brother they alway's had something to talk about and my bro was favoried more by my dad then me so it was alway's nice to get toghter and watch these films.

Some of my favorite films are Coyote Ugly, Honey, and Save the Last Dance. All of these movies are of a different genre, but you can still, kind of, relate to them.
In ‘Coyote Ugly’, Violet is chasing her dreams and going to New York to be a song-writer. She is convinced that she can’t sing because of her stage fright, which she believes to be passed down from her mother. In Ney York, she gets a job at a bar, which is known for its bartenders getting up on the bar and dancing. One night, a bunch of sailors are at the bar and have a little too much to drink, they pull one of the bartenders off the bar and all hell brakes loose. In order to save the night, Violet (nicknamed Jersey by the bar owner) starts singing to the jukebox. After that, she starts performing, along with the jukebox, every night. In the meantime, she has met a guy. With her family, this guy, and her coworkers pushing her, she has a showcase to sing the songs she has written. All of the cast helps her get over this horrible stage-fright, that turns out, has not been passed down from her mother, and to chase her dreams. I love the fact that she’s chasing her dreams and in the end it proves that, with support from friends and family, you can do anything you set your mind to. That the only person/thing in your way to reaching your goals and chasing your dreams is you, and that, if you can realize that, and overcome it, you can do anything. Yes I am able to relate to the protagonist, I to have big dreams that need to be chased and I also believe that the only thing that can get in my way is me, so I will not give up, and if I do, I’ll have friends there to push me back into my dreams, like Violet. If you can relate to the characters in a movie, than its almost a guarantee that you’ll like the movie.
‘Honey’ is the same way; she’s chasing her dream of becoming a back-up dancer in music videos. But in her case, she’s got a big music rep blocking her way because she wouldn’t sleep with him. She still prevailed didn’t let him, or anything else keep her from chasing her dreams, which she accomplished, in a much bigger way than she ever imagined.
In ‘Save the Last Dance,’ is the same thing, but she lets herself get in the way in a much bigger way, she blames herself for her mother’s death and decides to give up what she loves.
In all of these movies, the characters all had a love interest and friends and family supporting them to chase they’re dreams, it doesn’t matter what the dream is, just go after it.

My favorite movies would have to be P.S. I Love You and Kids. P.S. I Love You is a great movie about a couple whose marriage is suddenly stopped because the husband dies. The directors of this movie really knew how to capture the audience's heart by really showing how broken the wife is, she calls her ex-husbands phone just so she can hear his voice. The movie keeps you crying and also has funny scenes to so you're not completely depressed which I think is a really smart way to make a movie. Making the audience feel many emotions instead of just one is a great movie making strategy. My second favorite movie is Kids. This movie is almost like a documentary that follows the life of a group of teens in the 90's. They do drugs, have sex, and break as many laws as the possibly can. The movie was originally filmed to be a educational movie to educate the public about STD's and the secret life of teens. It really shows how lack of adult guidence can really effect a teenager. I really like it because its funny and I can really relate to alot of the things in the movie, such as the parties or just the way the guys and girls talk about each other. It's funny because its true.

I consider myself a fan of many movies and i have watched them all my life. Personally I think the best type of movies are action movies. With the character being in danger you care for them more, and are either upset or happy for them based on the ending. A favorite of mine is The Bourne Ultimatum series. about more than just chase scenes and shootouts. The character Jason Bourne (real namee Alan Webster) is forced to find out who he really is and what he truly belives in. He is shown the terrifying truth of the deception and wickedness of our government. He doesn't know how or why but he has the capability to kill anyone for any reoson and get away with it. Once he learns more about himself he is sincerely disgusted and turns away from his government agency he was associated with, then tears it apart. I have also read the books that came out previous to these movies and was very entertained by them. It makes you think if that were me, if i had unlimited power and capability, would i be so noble? Would I endager myself and all those around me to take this agency down and discover the real truth? Or would I accept the version given to me and continue to kill for the higher ups in my government. These films also have very good special effects and action scenes that keep the plot going and the viewer hooked.
