Classification Essay Topic Possibilities

What do you know best, but would like to explore more? Are you an expert observer in any certain realm? What possible classification essay topics are emerging in your brain? For this essay, you will have to become hyper-observant. For instance, I despise walking the Sioux Empire Fair, but always seek chances for my children to enjoy new experiences/thrills--and I simply love watching people, trying to figure out their motives for attending the greatest fair on Earth. (The Hesitant, the Harmonious, the Hasty, and the High-Flying--even the Hellbound...)

I have a few ideas for the classification essay. My favorite is one my Dad told me. During difficult times, people react differently. Difficult times are symbolized by boiling water. They can be an egg, and be hardened by difficulties (boiling water). They can be a carrot, becoming mushy and soft. Or, one can be a coffee bean and be faced with difficulties, but emerge and transform into something new and better, coffee.

I found my love for baseball at a young age. I remember playing coach pitch, hitting it to the outfield with my dad pitching. Baseball is a team game, maybe that's why I love it so much. To have success, you need a whole team to go out that day. Everyone plays a different role while trying to win the game. (The horses, the heroes, the helpful, and the heartless)
There are various types of reading styles. People may read constantly for fun, only what is required of them, and some just do not read at all. Possible titles for each of these classifications are Nonstop, Sometimes, Never.
As a dancer, I have a vast knowledge on the art of ballet. Although, there is a distinct difference between small town dancing and dancing as a career. This is an emerging idea in my head, to classify the stages from a starting dancer to a professional ballerina.
The first idea that comes to my mind is one of the things that have taken over my life- band. I could do something along the lines of "The Enthusiasts, the neutral feeling, and the "I'm in it for the credit" types of people. Doing this topic would allow me to explore something that is a large part of my life already more closely.
My other idea, the one I am more likely to do, is to explore the different types of church goers. I have seen many people attend my congregation. Everyone from those who only attend twice a year- Easter and Christmas, to those who attend, but never volunteer, and come because they feel obligated to, and those who are Jesus fanatics. This would give me a chance to explore not only my own faith, but the faith of those around me.
The first thing that came to mind was art because I'm constantly drawing or painting. You could classify people into the Master, the Student, and the "What am I Looking at?" I've always loved art and since I've started taking more art classes, Mr. Nelson has really opened my view on art even more.
My second idea is classical music. People could be classified as the Maestro, the Apprentice, and the Novice. I grew up with classical music because my mom was a classical pianist when she was in college and she would play these beautiful songs, while I tried to teach myself how to play them at the same time.
I was thinking of classifying cats. There are typically three types of cats. There are timid cats who tend to hide when there's danger. There are wild cats who either cause danger or run to it. Finally, dominant cats who watch over the danger, if it bothers them, they act, or they let someone else deal with it. I know a lot about cats, I am a crazy cat lady, but I've never classified them.
I was also thinking of classifying bands. We have pop bands, which are usually about teen topics such as partying and relationships with smooth, or auto tuned, vocals. We also have rock bands which are slightly heavier with more drums and guitars, and rougher vocals. Finally, we have metal which is the heaviest and hardest with a lot of guitar, and rougher, often screaming, vocals.

I am thinking about using Christmas to explain peoples happiness. They can be either a Grinch or a Christmas freak, which are protagonists or antagonists. The season represents people who have the same life or situations and how they each deal or see. They can either see the situation and like it a lot, Christmas freak, or see the situation and hate it, Grinch. Since everyone understands Christmas, an analogy to help people understand each other is necessary.

I personally have a few ideas running through my head about this essay. Ranging from different cultures, band and general school, to events, historical and current, as well as some ideas that are completely random, like types of celebrities.
I feel as if I am not an expert in any certain realm yet. However I do know quite a bit when it comes to sports, such as soccer. Attitudes towards practice and the off-season vary drastically and shows the type of person you really are. That also shows what we believe in, and societies image of us.
I feel that I am very familiar with aviation(airplanes, pilots, airports), and I am always yearning to learn more about it. I can easily identify many different makes and models of airplanes and the types of people who fly. There are those who are humble Pilots, the cocky Jet Jockeys, and the wise Aviators.
I'm very observant when it comes to professional sporting events. I don't attend them often and when I get the chance to, I like watching how people act. There's the enthusiastic fans, who wear crazy outfits, paint their entire face, and scream at the top of their lungs when they don't agree with a call made by the referee. The classic fans that also yell and cheer but instead of wearing crazy things they might wear a jersey of their favorite player or a t-shirt with the teams logo on it. Then there is the fair weathered friend who only ties themselves with the sporting team when they're doing well. Every fan has a certain classification it just depends on how much they wish to express.

I have considered many different options as my essay topic. I tried to think of some activities that I enjoyed doing in order to find a topic that would be easy to write about. One of my potential topics is moviegoers. Several different types of people attend movies and it's interesting to see that the same stereotypical people tend to be at every movie. There's always a person who obnoxiously laughs,a person that always cries, a couple that barely watches the movie, even the person who shushes everyone. Another topic that I have considered would be types of younger brothers. Almost all of my friends have a younger brother so It's pretty easy to classify the different types. Some of my friends have little brothers that are unbelievably nice and would kiss their sister's feet if asked to. Some of my other friends brothers act like vampires that live in the shadows. My younger brother is the type that you question their sanity. He has even gone to the extent of biting my friends. These topics are two that I am considering making into my essay. I hope to brainstorm more in order to think up the perfect topic to write about.
My first instinct was to create a classification system of the people who play video games. This came from my love for video games. My classes would be: The Action Seeker, The Sports q, The Fitness Freak, The Party Player, The Reader, and The Role Player. I want to develop better names for those classes though.
I find myself interested in fashion, cheerleading, and music. Fashion is split into the aware and unaware. It is made up of the oblivious, the late-comers, and the invested trend setters. In cheerleading, the team has many categories. Mainly, there are the leaders of the team, the beginners, and the bad attitudes. I enjoy going to concerts and people watching. There is always the over-excited concert-goer wearing a t shirt of the artist, the boyfriend or parent that has been drug along, the not very well-behaved, and the nonchalant VIPers.

When told to think about something I know well, the first thing that comes to my mind is golf. I could make a comparison with different golf clubs to how people plan. The clubs not built to hit the ball very far are like people that live for the day and think more short term. The clubs that hit the ball the farthest are like people that plan ahead and are always building towards a better future instead of focusing on the present. Some people go back and forth without keeping to one of these mindsets. These people would be like the mid-range clubs, they can plan ahead and be used to go far or can be used for shorter shots and live for the day.
I found my love for band in fifth grade when I started playing the clarinet. Over eight years of band, I have discovered that there are four different types of Band Students- The Perfectionist, the Tone-Deaf, the Arrogant, and the Mute.

A topic that I feel I am somewhat of an expert in is sports. Initially, I decided I would take an easier route and begin the classification of various sports. However, after further pondering, I decided I wanted to work with the various athletes within these sports. For example, standing at a mere 5'6" (on a good day), I have to be a harder working, scrappier athlete compared to a naturally 6'1" athlete with an excellent build. A football team requires different types of athletes. The taller, plumper athletes are a necessity on a football team as well as the taller (or shorter), skinnier more moderate sized athletes used as wide receivers. In contrast to that, a basketball team is in need of all skinnier athletes most of which will be on the tall side.
The subject I seem to know best is dancing. However, I still don't know everything there is to know about dance nor have I experienced what it's like to dance out side of the Midwest. I would love to explore more into the world of dance and the people involved with it. There are dancers who see dance as a lifestyle, hobby, or a competition. This is an idea emerging in my head that I would love to pursue.
The most powerful way to write this essay will be to discuss people. If you classify people, everyone will be able to relate. Some systems I've been considering are types of writers, types of liars, and (a less well developed title...) how people respond to situations. I would consider myself an expert observer in acting. I student direct the plays, so I watch the students working, but I don't act myself. I know some things extraordinarily well, though one can never be omniscient about any activity or topic. I would like to explore poetry more. I enjoy reading it, but rarely feel as though I have time to really sit down and dig into it. Another activity I would like to explore more is color guard. I am currently the captain of the color guard; I know it better than anyone else at Brandon Valley. At the same time, I am a novice on the level of drum corps. Someday, I aspire to participating at the drum corps level, though I don't have the same experience that I would need to audition.
As an athletic trainer, there are many different attitudes towards the occupation. Some trainers are considered warm and soft, others are "whatever" and negligent, and others are wicked and aggressive. Warm and soft trainers are commonly known of as compassionate and purposeful. "Whatever", negligent trainers are considered lazy and careless while wicked and aggressive trainers are often avoided and disliked for their tendency to be too rough with an injury.

I have been employed for the last three years. Throughout my years working, I believe that I have figured out the three different types of workers. There is the lazy worker, the average worker, and the outstanding worker.

Since I am a woodwind player at heart, the first place my creativeness went was into the realm of oboe. After being preciously chiseled, oboe reeds acquire different tones, stability, and pitch. Similarly, high school students come in various types. There are intelligent, involved students, struggling yet determined teenagers, attention-seeking, corrupt deliquents, and the silent, reserved wallflowers.

Something I know well would be sporting events. I play sports but I also love to watch them, so I would consider myself a fan of sports. I know alot about being a fan because I have been one my whole life. To me there are certain types of fan. There are the home fans, super fans, and the social fans.

I've always found it interesting to observe people's behavior, way of thinking, how they present themselves, etc. I am thinking about writing about the different kinds of kids you see roaming the halls of every high school and comparing them to flowers.
I became interested in golf at a very young age. I remember following my dad around on the golf course every weekend. As I have grown older, I have realized that there are many different types of golfers. There is the hack, the beer drinker, and the serious golfer.
One idea that came to mind was the classification of the residents at Bethany Meadows, where I work. They would be classified under the confused, the crabby, or the cordial. I think this is a good idea because you can really tell the different groups of residents that you do enjoy, and which ones you do not.
There are currently one hundred and forty three high school students involved in the marching band. They range from freshman to seniors, flute players to tuba players, and color guard to percussion but in the end they all wear the same uniform and perform the same show almost every Friday and Saturday in the fall. However, how each person feels about the activity of marching band varies quite dramatically between person to person. Based on their attitudes towards marching band, the three types of members you could meet are the Fanatic, the Cynic, and the Unattached.
Ever since i was younger, i have always been in cheer. I believe there are three types of cheerleaders. There are the "attitude -setters",hard workers, and the amateurs.
The first thing that popped into my head was the type of students in high school. There are students who want to achieve good grades, learn, and prepare themselves for college. Another type of students are the ones who are just here to graduate; they do give some effort to make sure they do, but they do not care what grades they get as long as they pass. The last type of students are they ones who just have to be here. They do not try and more than likely they are forced to be here. They take the easiest classes possible and the bare minimum.
I have been actively involved in a Masonic organization since the age of ten. During those seven years I have noticed the many variations of beliefs people have with Freemasonry. There are the members, the uniformed, and the conspiracy theorists.
I have played football since before I can remember. I have gone through all levels of coaching from my dad to the varsity level. The greatest sport on the planet is also a major team sport where every single player from senior to sophomore has a role. Everyone must perform to the best of their ability to be a successful team. (The Starters, The Seconds, The Scouties, The Scared)
I love to climb; mountains, hills, trees, boulders, it makes no difference. This is why I chose to classify people by the way they climb a crux. A crux is the toughest part of a route, and Based on their styles of climbing when it comes to the crux of the route, the four types of climbers you will belay are the unrestrained, the chary, the unencumbered, and the unsummited; knowing how each climber is going to react to a crux can help make your trip much safer, and exponentially more fun. The way a person reacts to a new, tougher section of route often predicts how that person will react to unexpected challenges and stress in everyday life.
I am very interested in baseball. I have been playing baseball my whole life. I was introduced to baseball around age five and have loved it since. When I was younger I use to sit in my dad's amateur team dugout and watch and enjoy the game. Throughout the years I have picked up many useful tips and tricks but have also been able to see the types of players and their roles on the team. (the bulldogs, the brains, the bruisers, and the brave.)
When considering different ideas to write about, the first thing that came to my mind was sports. I know a lot about sports and I have been playing sports my whole life. I thought it would be an easy topic to classify. There are different types of fans at a sports event, there are the hard core fans, the sit and watch fans, and the fans that don’t pay any attention.
Another idea that came to my mind was the different types of people at a pool. There are the sun bathers, the floaters, and the swimmers. The sun bathers are the ones who do not even get in the pool, they just lay on a chair and tan. The floaters are the ones that just lay in pool on a flotation device or a noodle. And the swimmers are the people in the pool that actually swim. I think this would be a good topic to write about, because i enjoy swimming and being in a pool.

When told to classify something I know best by heart cake came to my thoughts first. How do you classify cake? Well, you could classify the different types of cake but that would be too easy for a cake decorating like me. I work with many people when creating masterpieces on cakes. There are three types of cake decorators the perfectionist, the dilly dallier, and the slapdash type. This will be complicating but amusing to explain who and what I work with everyday.
When it comes to the classification of individuals at the gym there is mainly five types. You have the texter, upper body, self observer, normal lifter, and the person who uses every machine and attempts the most ludicrous lifts. Over my three years of working out at tryon gym in Brandon I have found that every single person who has worked out at the gym has fit into one of these catagories
The first idea for this essay that came to mind was the different types of school students. This essay should be an easy one for anyone to relate to. It also should be fairly easy to place yourself into one of these classifications. I would consider myself an expert in this field because I have attended school for 12 years and I have seen all different types of students. The types of students are the dedicated, the moderate & the lazy. The dedicated student gets their work done and achieves the highest grade marks. The moderate student gets their work done however does not put forth much effort and maintains average grades. The lazy student rarely completes anything thing assigned, puts forth zero effort and maintains below average grades.
A good example of classification that I can relate to is soccer. I have been a player for many years and am able to easily see what will be expected of each player in each position. First, there are the defenders who receive little glory when all is said and done even though they have arguably the most important job. They are the patient ones. Then there are the midfielders whose job is to connect the defence with the striker(s). They are the helpers who must assist the defence in ridding themselves of pressure and then they must share the hard won ball with the strikers by connecting a calculated pass. Finally, there are the strikers themselves. Strikers are the ones who appear in headlines and gain all of the glory. They also must be the best dribblers and understand where to go to receive the ball from the midfield. But most importantly they must send the ball into the back of the opposing team’s net. They are best classified as the seekers.
My thoughts on this prompt are scattered. I’ve considered writing about something related to choir as this will be my seventh year participating and I like to think I have learned a lot. I also am playing with the notion of readers, or people who come to bookstores, as I am an avid reader and cannot get enough of books. I also contemplated a deeper though. Something I’ve struggled with my senior year is accomplishment. I am not simply referring to menial and sometimes meaningless awards although those do contribute, but a sense of accomplishment. Each person has a different idea of success, or accomplishment, but everyone has a reason, or motivation behind their drive to succeed. Whether a person’s drive is inconspicuous or decidedly obvious everyone has motivation to do what they do. The force propelling people towards their goals and achievements is another thought.
I am no expert in lifting because I learn of new lifts everyday and better form that can help me complete a better workout. I chose this topic though because it is something that is important to me. I love fitness and when you are exercising often you see the different type of people that are in the weight room. The weight room will be our forest of fitness. Every forest has many different types of trees. There are the hard-workers, the ones that bust their tail each and everyday and have the bar set above and beyond. They are the Pine trees of the forest in the weight room. Always keeping their pines and continuously growing, bigger and stronger. Then we have the deciduous trees in the forest. These are the half reppers who are there but completing only half the workout or only focusing on one section of the body instead of it as a whole. Then we have the bushes at the bottom of the forest of fitness. These are the talkers and the lazy people of the weight room. Continually talking of getting bigger but not making the effort to do so.

Ever since I could walk I remember being in the field hunting. It used to be the only way I could really bond with my dad. I remember when I was about five years old I was out in the field picking up pheasants because I couldn't yet hunt. With my vast knowledge of hunting I am going to compare hunters approaches and there weapon choice to what kind of hunter they are. (Party freaks, Dog lovers, Hardcore hunters, Experienced hunters, and the Kill crazies)

Throughout the years I have had countless teammates, and I think I'm going to give it a shot at categorizing them. Every team has at least one of the following: the one man show, the team player, and a role filler. While some are more enjoyable than others, you must put up with them all.
Another thought that I had was possibly sense of humors because who doesn't enjoy a good joke? If I chose to do this topic it could be broken down into the natural, the boring beginner, the accidental, and the try hard. I bet everyone could name someone from each category so we'll see where this goes
I feel as if I know a lot about certain types of people. For example, I know quite a bit about art students, band kids, and in particular, television show fans. I would love to explore the dynamics behind how each type of television watcher enjoys their show. Based on how they watch television, the three types of people that enjoy TV shows are the Dog, the Cat, and the Bird; knowing the characteristics of each type can help you understand how these people work. The Dog loyally watches only a few shows. The Cat only watches when it is convenient for them. The Bird flits from show to show without any real purpose behind their actions.

The first idea I had was about books and how people read them. Some people don't really read books at all. Others read books strictly for their entertainment value and enjoy a good story. Still others analyze the books they read and look at the literary techniques they use. I would classify these as the Objector, the Thrill-seeker, and the Academic.
Having attended an event from nearly every sport offered here at Brandon Valley, to attending professional sporting events in different parts of the nation, I have recognized that there are five different types of fans. There are the outright obnoxious, the bandwagoners, the die-hards, the quiet but opinionated, and the commentators.
I have a few ideas. Writing about different types of friends, which would be easy. But then I also have an idea of just different kinds of kids/personalities in the classroom.
I have been playing sports since before I can remember and on every team I have ever been on there are three types of people. These three people are what I feel makes up the entire team. There is The Booster who is there to motivate everyone, The Anchor whose attitude brings everyone down, and The Filler who is just there to be there and do their thing.
I would like to classify people as colors based on their overall personalities. Colors are often associated with feelings (Red with love and with anger, blue with calm or sadness, green for greed and jealousy). There are two types of people that can be classified as Red: Those that get extremely heated over nothing, and those whose entire lives revolve around their relationship or feelings for someone. There are also two types of people for Blue. Some are very calm, laid back, and relaxed. They always seem to take things in stride and get along with other people very well. Their emotions are pretty even, and they are very mellow. I would see this is a light blue. The other kind, dark blue, are the melancholy, whiny people that always seem to be sad about something. Listening to them talk, you would think that there is not one single good thing in their lives. They don’t seem to get happy about many things, and they rarely smile. People who are green are the envious people who are always looking at the people around them and seeing things they wish they had. When they see someone else happy, they aren’t happy for them; they are jealous of their happiness.
My other idea was to compare different age groups to cake types (babies as cupcakes, the elderly as pound cake, dry and bland) but I think I’m going to stick with people and colors.
One idea i had for the classification essay is types of people and their money. It is amazing to watch people “show off” their money. Some people show off money they don’t have and some people don’t show off money they have. It would be interesting to do a study and see how much people owe and how extravagant their lifestyle is. All of these people would be average, everyday people but they would have different lifestyles to show off their money.
Another idea I had would be classifying people. This is very broad so you could classify people however you would want to. You could classify by groups at school, activities people are involved in, people’s hobbies, and so on. You could also classify people just in general; hair color, eyes, clothes, and so on. This topic would be an easy one because it is so broad.

I am running with many possible ideas. Since I love to volunteer i know that there are different types of people who volunteer. They can be the kid who is forced to volunteer, the kid who just volunteers for resumes, or the kid who just loves to volunteer.
I have played hockey for most of my life so that is what I am going to stick to when it comes to classifying the different types of players. Not just the position that they are playing like forward, defense, and goaltender, I'm talking about the different personalities of them. What i have come up with as these personalities are the Snipers, the Play makers, Grinders, The Chirp Line/Benders, and two different types of goalies, the butterfly and hybrid
For the past 7 years I have been involved in band. Each person in the band is different and has their own opinions on the organization. However, there are 5 main groups that almost everyone can be classified into on the marching band field: the controlling, the perfectionist, the quiet hard worker, the follower, and the uncaring. On the outside, everyone is supposed to look the same once we are in uniform. On the inside though, every person has a different opinion about being in band.
I have had a love for football ever since I started in the third grade. I love the challenge and I love the fact that the team success begins with the quarterback. I find satisfaction out of a win much more because of that. You're the guy everyone looks to when times get rough. Also it’s such a team sport and it’s a beautiful thing to watch when 11 guys come together as one and operate so smoothly.
As a woman in both the arts and the sciences, my favorite things to do either involve making music of sorts, doing my math homework, and creating projects- sometimes a mix between the two. I would like to delve into harder, more upper-level concepts of math, and to maybe discover new concepts to share with the world. My ideas include people's reactions to math (X,Y,and Z), the types of people in marching band, the types of (people who) type (The Elaborate, the LOUD, and the o n e letter at a time.) and the types of people who travel.

I am a fan of the written word in all its incarnations. However, my true love is poetry. What better place to discover the allure of poetry than in a coffee shop? I will classify styles of poetry and their poets as people that would be found in a coffee shop. There are The Patron, The Tortured Soul, The Grandiose, and The Brilliant/Homeless Vagrant.

My initial idea for this essay included something along the line of dance. I have been involved with dance as long as I can remember. I do not know everything about dance because I have only danced in the Midwest. Although, I do know a fair amount about dancing because of my 13 years of experience. After pondering over the topic for a while, I began to think about dance competitions and the people you run into at each event. There are the dancers who don’t care and are involved with the sport just to satisfy their parents. There are also the dancers who are compassionate about what they do and would like, someday to create a career with their passion for dance. Then there are the dancers who enjoy dancing, although they only enjoy the activity on their time. These are the people who in a sense use dance. They have the technique and the ability but only use the sport as an activity to busy themselves. Now, contrasting the dancers, we have the parents, who watch their daughter or son competing on stage. In my opinion, there are two types of parents. These are the parents who want to be in the audience watching and cheering on their son/daughter or there are those who could really care less and put their child through dance as a way to get them to do some sort of activity. These parents are typically those who have no interest in the sport and were wishing that they had a child involved in football, baseball, softball, etc.
Based on my extensive knowledge of dance, I believe I am going to classify dancers. I am going to classify them as artists, athletes, and I have yet to create a third classification.
After playing soccer for well over ten years, I think I know somewhat about it. In soccer there are many parts. You have the strikers, midfielders, defenders, coach, and referee. It takes a lot of effort to be very organized in a game. My idea is to somehow classify it to classical music. It takes many efforts to have a very organized piece of classical music as well.

One idea for the classification essay that I have is the classification of people through boaters. There are many different types of boaters, but I think they can be classified under a few categories. The first being the benevolent boaters. These benevolent boaters wave at every passing boat in a friendly hello, and goodbye in one small gesture. Another classification could be the pompous boater. This boater thinks nothing of the other people out on the lake, he thinks his fancy speedster is the only thing that matters. He does not give courtesy towards other people. There is a third type of boater, and this is the secluded boater. He likes to traverse towards the far end of the lake, leaving behind the busy marina. Many who are in this classification are fishers, but not all are.
Another idea that I have for the classification essay is the use of computers. People tend to use computers everyday and I believe they can be put into 3 main categories. Computers can be used for entertainment, school, and for a professional career. Computers aid us in almost every aspect of our lives. There are many different types of computers some that are exclusive like a workstation or others that have a more nebulous use such as a cell phone.

I have a few different ideas for the classification essay. My most prominent one being, types of fighters. I have been involved in multiple different martial arts since I was seven years old. Therefore I have observed and been taught by multiple different types of fighters. First of all is the brawler, these types of fighters are usually of a bulkier build and they focus on basic heavy punches and wrestling. Second being the technical fighter, these fighters usually focus on clinches and BJJ ground techniques. A third classification is the unorthodox fighter, this type of fighter is a wild card. A unorthodox fighter will switch stances and likes to do a lot of spinning strikes. A final classification for now, is your average street fighter. These type of fighters present themselves with much confidence and swing wide hay-makers without using much technique, often going for the one hit knockout.
As I sat thinking, many things have been classified. These objects extend from the edge of the universe to the deepest points in the oceans. There must be something in between these extremely distant places that would be worthy of assessment.
As an avid space enthusiast, I read a plethora of articles daily pertaining to intelligence, GPS, and other activities within realm. Classifying current successful programs such as China, India, Russia, the US, and Europe seems an appropriate use of thought.
One topic I feel as if I know quite a bit about is music, because music itself is very important to me. I was thinking of classifying music listeners into three groups: the ones who listen closely; trying to understand every lyric and what it might mean, people who are very passive listeners, and people who pay more attention to the beat than anything else.
Another idea I have is to classify concert-goers. There are the die-hard fans that scream the lyrics to every song and try their best to get the band’s attention, there are the people who are there to dance and let loose, and then there are the people who stand in the back who pretty much just went to the concert to say they were there.
My greatest passion in life is going fishing because it gives me such pride to land a fish and the adrenaline rush is always present. I have great joy in catching fish and then seeing it regain its strength from the awesome fight it gave me. After that It’s always a good feeling to see it swim away from your hands to go on and live another day. The way of classifying the fish is simple actually: bottom feeders, the bottom feeders, game fish, invasive species, and endangered species.
I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to the sport of cheerleading. It has been apart of my life since I can remember. Whether I am just watching or actually participating in the activity myself I notice everything from the crowd, to the coaches, and even the cheerleaders themselves. Teams have certain classifications within themselves. There are the leaders, the rookies who I also call the tryhards, and the “badleaders”.
An area I feel I have great knowledge in is sports. I love sports and everything they entail. However, the sport I love the most and play the most is baseball. Baseball is a team sport which also means there are players with many different personalities and attitudes towards the game. I decided to link this to a professional baseball team. There are the leaders or driving forces of a team, the dedicated, the doorknobs, and the decrepit.

Ever since I was a kid I really liked Pokemon. Now as a senior in highschool I own about 35 games in the franchise and have played and beaten them all. The world of Pokemon come in different generations, much like the people who play the games come in different classifications, the die hard 1st generation that’s been around since the beginning. There’s the 6th generation newbies who think they know it all and the overlooked and hidden generation 2. The fair weather generation 5 who is around for their generation and then just fades out and the diligent 3rd generation who work their tails off to be the best also make an appearance. Last but not least is generation 4 the bridge generation between the between the technology within these games.
Upon reading this idea prompt, my brain decided that I would be classifying people! All sorts of people, by personality traits, by their reactions and attitudes to things. All of these people, I have observed during my time in school. I believe that 11 years is plenty to become an expert in different types of people.
These types of people will be somewhere along the lines of,
-Downers, Pessimists
-"Uppers", Positive people!
- Passive-aggressives
- Just plain negative
- Quiet and Angry
- Selfish in an obvious way. (Complainers!)
and etc.
I will classify these types of people using my knowledge of the anthropology in my school.
Wish me luck!

When I first heard what the prompt was for this essay, I was stumped. I had no idea what to even write about, but what about something I do everyday. Perhaps volleyball and how there are different types of people, like the ones that bust their butts, the naturals, and the people that unfortunately, don't even get an opportunity.
I have been in Orchestra for years and I think that I am going to compare the various sections of the Orchestra to animals of the jungle and their importance to the ecosystem.
My idea for the classification essay is to classify basketball moves/plays to people in society and their personalities. I have been in basketball since I can remember and that is what I know a lot about. I am going to relate basketball plays to certain type of people and their attitudes.

Being a nanny for four years and around children all my life has given me the perfect view on parenting tactics. This idea was the first to pop into my head. I have experienced many cases. Some with two parents, with one parent, with toddlers, with babies, and so on. I have to get a feel for how parents want me to deal with problems with their children. It never ceases to amaze me. I grew up with an iron fist and do get bothered by children who get away with anything. I notice that children do act differently around me than their parents because I demand respect. That blows my mind that a seventeen-year-old can get more out of a child than their own parents.

From a young age, nearly all children are sent to a school and they spend the majority of their lives at their specific institution. These children learn how to behave, learn, and basically who they are as a person during the twelve or so years spent at school. Although students at a school have location in common, each student ends up encountering different situations and in turn, develops differently. I believe there are three types of High School students because of these experiences: The apathetic complainer, the grade chaser, and the knowledge searcher. The way a student approaches education says a lot about who they are as a person and what they are likely to do in life.

I have observed the personalities and actions children constantly for as long as I can remember. These findings have come from years of babysitting, being around my younger sisters, and my current job at a daycare center. I have decided to write my essay on the personality types of children in relation to types of flavors.

I have not become a professional at anything yet to say the least. However I have spent over three years working at Yogi Bear campground and have recently started a new job as a CNA in a nursing home. Although I have only worked there for a few months I have picked up on the different types of workers I'm sure every business deals with. There are the try hards that do everything textbook perfect and generally love their residents and job in general. Then there are the people who try to work efficiently, they still love the residents and don't hate their job but they may not do everything as textbook as they should. However in their defense they do get everything done on time where as the try hards are always late because they spend so much time on a single task. Then there are the the people who are generally just lazy. They do the least amount of work possible, always come up with excuses on why they can't help. These people generally are always on their phone while at work, late for work, and sometimes don't even show up(a no call no show type of deal). I'm not saying they don't like their job or the residents, they just seem like they don't care about anything. I can't tell you which type of worker is the best one to be because the try hard is always late but they possibly provide better care then they efficient one and when it comes to health and care do you really need it to be the most efficient as long as your being taken care of? But on the same hand if you are running behind in your rounds then the other residents and families of the residents get upset because they just assume that you are ignoring their mom/grandparent and are providing terrible care for which they are paying for. (which is far more expensive then going to college to be a doctor)
I have loved ice cream since the beginning of my existence. My idea is to take this simple love of creamy scoops and classify teenagers using different flavors. (Vanilla- the structured and obedient, Banana Split- the enthusiastic and involved, and Rocky Road- the adventurous, risk takers)
When I get older I want to travel the world since I haven't seen much of it yet I am just going to classify types of summer vacations. There are the Trip to Grandmas, Are we there yets, and the Up up and aways. The trip to grandmas is usually a day or two trip while the are we there yets is a roadtrip to a farther destination. The up up and aways are the week long, possibly out of the country trips that require air travel to get there.

After intense deliberation, I have decided to do my essay on how four groups of the athletic community's respond to soreness. This groups are the rollers, icers, complainers and stretchers.

I have been playing softball since a very young age. Therefore, I believe I am a somewhat expert on it but there is still plenty to learn. A possible essay topic that came to mind is classifying softball players. There are the very dedicated players who work hard at all times, the dreamers who wish to pursue a future in softball, and the day dreamers who don't pay attention to the game and would rather be elsewhere.

I expertise in the realm of professional sports, specifically football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. That gives me many different options, such as Stadium types, Sports Fan types, NFL quarterbacks, and MLB outfielders. For this essay I believe that my knowledge of the NFL is leading me to compose an essay detailing the classes of NFL quarterbacks.
Thinking of ideas for this essay has really stumped me. After thinking about it a couple of ideas have come to my mind.
I have thought about using dance as a topic. As a dancer I see all sorts of people in my classes and not all of them are there for the same reasons. I was thinking about the Dedicated, the people who don't care and on other yet to come to mind.
As well I could do different kinds of friends. Through my life I have experience my types of friends. Some good and some bad. I have thought of titles such as the true friend, the flip-flopper, the backstabber and a couple of other names.
One other idea I have is dealing with art. I absolutely love art and especially drawing. I could think of titles of people within the category of art. The dedicated artist, the half-hearted, and the one that really doesn't care.
I'm stilling thinking of what I exactly want to do.
My love for football started at a very young age. I like the game because it is a group of guys who are working together to complete a common goal. It only takes one person not doing their job to make that goal harder to reach or even impossible in some situations. There are many different kinds of football players. There are the "responsible leaders," "hard working work horses", "athletic hero's," "sacrificial grunts", "genius thinkers", and "selfish degrades".
Well I guess we'll have two essays about ice cream. I have been singing in choirs from a very young age, and I feel it is one of the things I have the most expertise in, so the idea I came up with for my essay was to compare two equally awesome things: choirs and ice cream sundaes (sopranos = ice cream; middle voices = syrups; basses = nuts; accompaniment = cherry on top; conductor = parlor worker; composer = recipe creator).
There are a few topic ideas I am dabbling in at the moment. I could create a classification system of people who paint, ranging from occasional project painters to seasoned Bob Rosses.
Another classification I could explore is that of different categories of cooks. There are those who can't cook to save their lives, those who cook few and far in between, those who cook regularly but aren't at chef level, those who are masters living the lives of home cooks, and those who have mastered every single technique known to man. Different kinds of cooks could be classified by types of pasta, with the worst cooks being basic spaghetti or macaroni, and the best of the masters being caramelle or similar technical pasta.
My third idea is to create a classification system of common kinds of photographers, but this idea could use more than a little development.

I have always enjoyed going to movies. I have even been to a few midnight showings, would not advice going to those. But this gave me an idea to classify people on their movie of choice. Examples would be romantic, comedy, action, horror/scary and fantasy. You can usually tell their personalities by the movies they go to.
Books are a good way to classify people and how we interact. There is the classic, the quick read, Fan Favorite and the Dusty encyclopedia that is full of fun facts.
I have been playing tennis for years now, and i am familiar with most things involved in the game. I believe there are only a few types of players: Pusher, Grinder, Aggressive, and Serve and Volley player.
The article I located and read was about dating in high school. It walked about why people date in high school and for what reasons. This article was against dating in high school and it gave multiple reason why this composer believed this. The biggest reason that most teenagers who date in high school date for selfish reasons. They date someone because they want to bring pleasure and happiness to their self. Some high schoolers date for increased popularity or to seem “cool” to other high schoolers. Some high schoolers use it as a mask to cover up other parts of their lives that they do not want other people to know about or notice. Maybe some do it so that they feel more secure and protected(this would obviously be aimed more at women than men). Another example of selfishness is when people date just for the physical benefits(sex) of dating. Usually these people eventually get tired of sex with whoever they are dating and merely move on like it is no big deal. These are all examples of dating in high school being for selfish reasons. A lot of the reason why high schoolers make these selfish decisions is because most high schoolers do not fully mature until after high school. Because of not being fully maturate in high school, lots of high schoolers make decisions they are forced to live with the rest of their life and if they could, they would want to go back in time and make a different decision. Bad decisions lead to consequences that most people do not realize affects the rest of their life in a usually harmful way. Not only is dating in high school selfish and unintelligent, but it is also expensive. Many males in high school end up spending all this money on dates, jewelry, and other things just to eventually break up with that individual. All that money you spent on the “one” is wasted and you end up regretting the fact that you spent all the money and wish that you could have it all back. Now to clarify, is every single relationship in high school wrong? No, are most? Yes.(this is a fragment) I would agree with what this composure wrote and in fact I might add a few more reason why dating in high school is usually inappropriate, such as missing your future partner and dating for “the ride” and having fun instead of dating someone for how the relationship will end(either getting married or breaking up).

My goal with this casual essay to learn more and try to understand why terrorist do what they do. I am also going to try look at terrorism in less of a biased and harsh view point. Hopefully through this essay I will also learn on how to improve my citation technique.
