My essay is about classifying women; specifically focussed on teenagers. My essay is about the personalities/types of women we see in school or as young adults. Women are confusing and do things that a lot of people dont understand, including women themselves. My essay focusses on three different types of women: clones, congenials and callouses. Meaning girls that are clones of each other, and have brief originalitiy. Congenials meaning the women who are angels to our society. Then callouses, meaning the girls that are nemeses to society. I think my perspective is interersting and creative because not a lot of people would have thought to classify women, considering that its not example something someone would write an educated essay about. I got creative and had to change my perspective throughout my essay to fit how I wanted the essay to sound and the feelings I wanted it to give the reader. I look forward to how my final draft will come out.
My classification essay is about the classification of recreational runners. I am doing this by describing their clothing, hair, and accessories, as well as their persona and personality. In the essay, the group called the Show-Offs wears high-end clothing. A portion of the Shufflers do as well, but the rest of them wear shorts and a t-shirt. The Shirkers are a muddled mess in between. I describe the Show-Offs as quiet, reserved people. They pay attention to their run and only their run. The Shufflers are the same, though they often listen to music. The Shirkers are, again, a mishmash in the middle.
Besides their direct appearance and personality, I try to deepen the categories by describing what they do and what they talk about. The beginning of the essay opens with a description of different groups of exercisers besides runners. I try to use their actions and dialogue to show their character and give a better understanding of what I’m seeing in my mind’s eye.
My essay is about classifying heroes in our lives. I am debating about the title; it will be either “Unreal, Undaunted, Unknown, Undeserving” or “Zero to Hero”. The unreal heroes are the superheroes, which are only in dreams, comics, and movies because they have special powers that help them save lives. Undaunted heroes include, but aren’t limited to: Policemen and women, firefighters, and men and women who are serving. The Unknown heroes are the people in our lives who we look up to and inspire us even though they may not know it. I also had to put the undeserving celebrity heroes as a category because I feel like some people think that their favorite celebrity is their hero, when the celebrity has done nothing to make them feel that way about them. This essay idea came to me when my friend was talking about superheroes and I thought that I would take a different take on it. I am looking forward to what I come up with to describe these different categories and hope the essay will be a good one.
My classification essay is full of creative aspects because of a few different things. First, I found a clever way for my title to rhyme and still make sense. My title is "Funs, Runs, and Tons." I named it this specific title because I believe it sounds enjoyable and fun to read. My classification essay is about movie titles because of my love for movies. I enjoy going to the theater with my friends to see the newest blockbusters, and I believe that comedies, horror movies, and action movies are the most popular movie genres currently out there. Another creative aspect of my classification essay is the examples I give for each type of movie. I don't just tell my readers what each category is, but I go into detail by giving them real-world examples of movies that fit into that specific category. The last way I tried to make my classification essay creative is by mentioning what groups of people would most likely be interested in each group of movies. For example, I state that people who are in joyful moods would probably prefer to see a comedy and that it wouldn’t make sense for someone who is scared of demons, ghosts, and serial killers to see a horror movie. Lastly, I like the requirement that is put on this essay about using vocabulary words. I think the use of vocabulary words definitely adds a creative flare to writing. Rather than using boring, overused phrases, you can use vocabulary words in your phrases to make them more interesting. For example, it sounds more interesting to say “a plethora of action” rather than “a lot of action”.
My classification essay is most likely going to be about the video game Overwatch. It is a first-person shooting game made at Blizzard. The game currently includes 24 heroes that you can choose from. They are separated into 4 classes: Offense, Defense, Tank, and Support. I want to change that, along with many others. I would like the classes to be: DPS, Tank, Healer, and Builder. Here’s why. My proposed system is the basis of what actual team compositions follow. You always need 2 DPS (High Damage Heroes), 2 Tanks, and 2 Healers. That gives you the best chance of success. The reason I want to change it is because some of the Supports don’t even really support. For example, one character, Symmetra, is in the Support category. I feel she should be in the new DPS category because she doesn’t heal at all. Her main objective is to do damage, thus she is a DPS.
Time is endless and that is why I am going to be classifying the past, the present, and the future. Even though the title is simple the topic is very broad. The past is the time where things were more simpler. We could go back to the time were we could not talk to each other on phones and have to go to our friends house to have a conversation. The present is where we are now. The present seems simpler to the past and present, but there are a lot of things going on right now. The future is unknown and scary. The future has so many possibilities like flying cars. The future reminds me of the Jetsons with the groceries that take themselves out of the car. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the past and others I am glad to live in the present because of all the technology and that life is easier than the past. I choose this topic because I love history and I feel like I can add a lot to it.
The classification essay I am going to write will be about clothes and style. More specifically, the different styles seen in high school students. There are those that show up everyday in sweatpants and t-shirts. These people generally don’t care and they are more concerned with getting an extra 15 minutes of sleep in the morning. Then, there are the people that dress in the trendiest clothes. They are the people that wear Birkenstocks and skinny jeans almost every day. Their outfits still may be simple, trendy, and even comfortable. Finally, there are the people who seem to dress up everyday. They are the people that always look like a Pinterest board and seem to never wear the same outfit twice. The essay has a lot of room for creative development. I intend to describe the different categories in terms of fashion styles and the personalities that accompany them. I will also include several examples of each category. Including vocab words and final exam items will also add to the creativity. Sometimes, I get stuck in the same old same old and this requirement will ensure that I add variety. This classification essay will allow me to be creative by describing different categories. I am excited to be creative while working on this essay.
My classification essay will be classifying my dreams and hopes for the future. I will classify them in groups; college, traveling, family, home, and career. For college, I will talk about which university I want to attend, what I want to be apart of, and why I would choose it. In the traveling portion, I will expand on my dream vacations and desires for studying abroad. Hawaii is a place I wish to study for at least one semester. My future career in engineering will lead me to a path to project management. After I save my money, I will buy a big cabin on a lake as my house. Minnesota is a place I wish to settle down. Hopefully, I will share this with my husband and kids. I want to have 5 children: 4 boys and 1 girl. This essay will be fun for me to write and get my to think more in depth about my future.
The classification essay I am going to write about is going to be about different branches of the medical field and what their daily life consists of. There are doctors, nurses, practitioners, the list goes on and on. Each and everyone of them have different tolerances, energy output, ect. Everyone has their own tasks to do during the day. They are so closely related, although, focus on completely different things. The medical field has been a dream of mine for awhile now. This essay allows me to put more development in my love for the field. I'm not exactly sure what my 5 or more specific categories will be, but I know they will be revolved around medical field occupations and what they deal with on a daily basis. There are so many branches of the medical field that I will have to pay attention to only 1% of them. It will be very hard to put them into 5 or more groups. All of them will work with the human body. They will all focus on the study of the human body. The human body fascinates me. This essay may inform some on what they want to do in life. Some may be stuck on if they want to be a nurse or a doctor. The amount of energy for those two careers are not even close. Yes, it does take energy and skill to be a nurse. But it takes even more energy to be a doctor and get through medical school. This will take a lot of thought, but I am determined to do it.
My classification essay is about homecoming. I am classifying students by the way they dress during homecoming week. I am classifying them by four types: the Uninterested, the Miserable, the Excited, and the Extreme. The Uninterested students are the ones that do not dress up and do not care to. The Miserable are the ones that dress up but only because they feel like they have to. The Excited are the ones that are dressed up and excited to but don’t go all out like they know they could. The Extreme are the ones that go all out and are proud of it. I am looking into the reasons why each type feel the way that they do. I am sure at some point in high school everyone will be each of the four types. By telling people about each type I am hoping to convince everyone to be part of the Extreme.
My classification essay is about the different types of sports fans there is. There are the fans who are die hard, the ones who think they are the coach, the bandwagons, the ones who say that they are "fans" but actually could care less and then there are the ones, like my mom, who have to like the team because they are forced by their spouse or family member. Even though one might claim they are a certain fan, who knows how much they actually know. I decided to write about the classification of fans because of how big of a Packers fan I am. I am not sure exactly what I'll write about, but I know that there are different classification of fans. I will talk about the way I act as a fan and how I see others act. I think this essay will be fun and easy for me because my family is just like the 5 classifications. I will just base off of what I see my family do and how they act when the Packers are on. It will be a hard essay by trying to get all the details in, but it will be worth it to get to learn about all the types of fans.
My classification essay will be about the various types of video games there are in the world. Many people who do not play video games or who do not follow the community often think that there are only a few types of video games. Video games are the most immersive form of art known to man. In the recent years the way in which someone plays a video game has advanced tremendously. For example, we have virtual reality video game systems such as the Oculus Rift, the Samsung VR, etc. There are mobile games, computer games, single player games, massively multiplayer games, the list goes on and on. I aim to show people some of the different categories of video games so more can understand how diverse of an industry it really is. There are a lot of differentiating categories of video games so this will be difficult, but I'm excited and determined to do it.
The classification essay I am going to be writing about involves the city of brandon, not just the city however, the people that live in it. The city of Brandon is a big city now and has very many people in it. I had the privilege of working in the parks department of the city for two years now and have seen a lot of the civilians. This essay will however, make me think about the pedestrians in a more creative way. I will have to analyze what I have seen in my past two years of work and classify it in a new and improved way that has not been attempted before (or at least no one I know has done it). It will draw out creative ways of describing, sorting, and grouping the people. I am not a very creative person at the moment, but hopefully this essay will make me think outside of the box more and allow me to become a better writer. With help from my classmates and Mr. Christensen, I will hopefully excel during this process.
My classification essay is going to be about different types of friends. I will put different types of friends into categories. Everyone will be friends with the different types at some point in their life. Most of these friends you will meet in high school and college. I have yet to make specific categories for each kind. Not only will I classify what type of friend it is, I will also dive into what kind of person they are in general. I will look at each of their general personalities to better understand how that makes them as a friend. I hope that will add creativity to my essay. Following the requirements alone will add creativity, like the vocabulary words and final exam items. I hope I can find more ways to add creativity and depth to my essay. I'm excited to write my essay. It it something that everyone is familiar with. And knowing what types of friends there are could help someone know what type/s of people they should surround themselves with.
My classification essay will be about the different types of golfers you see either on the course or on television. There will be the Professionals, the Amateurs, the Juniors and the Hackers. The professional golfers are amazing to watch because they think about how the wind, rain, or layout could affect their golf ball. The amateurs are also very fun to watch, but they don't have the level head as most professionals and they also don't think about the outcome. They just hit the golf ball and then proceed to hit the next shot after. The juniors are the ones who are passionate about the sport and would love to go Professional someday. These kids love the competition that each school brings to tournaments. They continually get better every time they are out on the golf course. Then you get to the hackers, these are the guys that go out maybe once every month and play a round of golf. These are the guys you want to stay away from. They are very slow because they can only hit it about 20 feet in front of them and they don't watch where their ball goes. I think this essay will be so much fun to write because I frequently run into hackers and it is not enjoyable to even play when you wait so long. But, I have watched professionals and amateurs play before. They are enjoyable to watch because they have such a great attitude, even when its not the best drive or iron shot they are capable of.
My classification essay is about the different types of problem solvers. I have separated them into three categories: the Go-Getters, the Go-Quitters, and the Go-Spitters. To clarify each category, I compared each type of problem solver to a popular game. The Go-Getters are like Chinese Checkers; by strategizing and keeping his or her eyes open to new pathways, this type of problem solver will win every time. Go-Quitters are similar to the game Perplexus. Much like Perplexus, Go-Quitters get a few steps in, the balls falls off the track, and they simply give up. The Go-Spitters are like a Rubix Cube. Oftentimes, the problem is just so hard, or requires too much work, so the Go-Spitters throw a fit and spit. I chose to compare types of problem solvers to games because it makes the essay seem more tangible and it allows me to give better examples. Foregoing the same old tired phrases by adding in vocab words will also increase the quality of my writing. I would like my essay to be one that people can relate to, enjoy, and maybe even try to improve their problem solving skills.
I wrote my classification essay over sports fans. I added a twist to it though (with the help of Mr. C) by comparing the fans of sports to different kinds of candy. For example, you have extremely devoted fans who stick by their team through thick and thin and you might compare this type of fans to jawbreakers because you cannot simply eat a jawbreaker likewise, you cannot sway the opinion of a very devoted fan. Another fan you might see is a hershey's kiss because if it gets to hot, they simply melt away just like a bandwagon fan who switches teams as soon as he sees something better. There are many other types of fans that I will investigate and classify. I will go in depth about why these fans are the way they are and how it can relate to many other things such as where they live, how they were raised, or even what their favorite color is because these are all things that can make a certain sports team more appealing to certain kinds of people. Another thing that is important to talk about is how different sports have different fans. You might see 60,000 diehard fans at a football or soccer game but none at a baseball game. Does that mean that baseball is a more gentle sport that does not symbolize the violence or contact that accompanies football or the almost pure hatred for opposing teams and their fans that comes along with soccer or does it mean that baseball is just a harder sport for many people to get into but you still see thousands of people going to baseball games and thousands of people attending golf tournaments. So basically I hope to look into sports fans through all types of sports and through all the years that humans have been competing to see how they changed and how they are the same. I hope to find the consistencies and the differences and summarize it all to narrow each section of fans into different kinds of candy and sweets.
My essay will focus on the different types of coaches. I will make my classification essay more creative by planning my thoughts out before I write them down. This will help me get the point that I want across. This will also make the writing process faster once I get to it because I will already have a general idea of what I will be focused on, and will be able to sprinkle in details and fodder to juice it up. My use of vocabulary will need to improve for this essay. In my essay, I will try to elaborate more. In past writing assignments I have a had a history of not explaining myself because I assume people have prior knowledge on the topics that I like to talk about. Elaborating and going into more depth will ensure that everyone will learn what I am talking about and will make the fake classification system more believable. I have had many experiences with coach through umpiring, reffing soccer, and playing soccer and tennis. This will hopefully give me a good insight to being able to write creatively on this topic.
I am going to classify the different types of teachers in school for my essay. I do not know for sure what the title will be. I plan to have four different categories: the teachers who are horrible and are set to stay horrible, the new teachers who still have a long way to go but have potential, the teachers who are good people but bad teachers, and the teachers who are just incredible over all. Using my own experiences, I will demonstrate what the classroom setting is like for these teachers and how they affect their students. I also would like to talk to other students for a more detailed insight on these different teachers. For example, students typically dread going to a bad teacher’s class and tend to put less effort in. Horrible teachers tend to give off an air of uncaring which dissuades a student to give that teacher respect. Great teachers, however, truly care for their students and go above and beyond what is required of a teacher. Students love this. With these precedents, I hope I can write a successful essay.
My classification essay is going to be about the different types of hockey fans. Surely not every fan has the same dedication or passion towards their team. I have yet to come up with a title. I plan to have four different categories: the die hards, the lackadaisical, the fight seekers, and the bandwagons. Because I have been a hockey player for a number of years, I have seen the whole spectrum of the different types of fans over the years. For example, a bandwagoner tends to have a different favorite team every year or so. On the other hand, a die-hard fan will be able to tell you every player on the team and their position. I personally am a die-hard fan of the Minnesota Wild. I have been watching them since I was very young. When my essay is complete, the four different types of hockey fans will be very clear to everyone that reads. I hope to create clarity for all my readers.
My classification essay is going to be about classifying different types of customers I encounter at work. As a server, I have come across various types of people in the three years that I have worked at Imperial Garden. I categorized them into four different groups: The Rood, The Wooed, The Curfewed, & The Exclude. The Rood are the types of people that complain about everything, do as much as they can to get free food, and still do not tip. Next, we have The Wooed who love the food and are some of the sweetest people in the world. They generally leave a very gracious tip and sometimes even write a nice comment on the bill or a napkin. The Curfewed are some of the most annoying. After ordering, they say they are actually in a rush and have to be somewhere in 30 minutes (Okay, why did you come to a sit down restaurant??). Lastly The Exclude, these people typically come in with a big group as a celebration or to catch up. Taking their order is a huge mess; everyone is talking to each other and not paying attention. I am hoping my essay will make people want to be better customers when out to eat.
My classification essay is about the types of people that go to churches. Many people say they go to church. However, the reasons for going to church vary. Churchgoers are classified into five categories: the Fervent, Fearful, Forced, Follower, and the Free. The Fervent are those who may be considered over the top. They are the ones who seem to live at the church. The Fearful go because they are afraid. There are multiple fears that cause people to attend. Then, there are the Forced. The Forced are literally forced to go by someone or something. The Follower are those who follow someone or a thing, like tradition. Then there are the Free. The Free are involved in the church, but don’t spend all their time there. They feel free to come and go without guilt or being forced. These types of people can be identified by facial expressions, attitudes, and actions. In this essay I will explain how these people can be identified and classified.
My classification essay is going to be about dogs’ different personalities. Obviously, all dogs do not share the same personality. After going through multiple dogs over the years, I have noticed that each dog I have owned has acted in a different way. Also, being around my friend’s dogs has further solidified my conclusion that every dog is unique. I have separated them into four categories: the playful dogs who never run out of energy, the powerful/strong dogs who no matter how sweet they try to be, plow over everyone they try to interact with, the perceptive dogs who are naturally so intelligent that they know every trick in the book, and lastly, the pusillanimous dogs who are usually too shy to even be pet by anyone who comes near them. I believe this classification system has a lot to do with the way their owners raise them, but it is also likely that they are just born with these certain traits. A goal I am trying to accomplish with my essay is to entertain my readers about the different types of dogs.
My classification essay is about the different types of photographers and their traits. I have experienced and seen first hand many different types of photographers and have picked up a few distinct traits. For example, one of the classifications is about photographers that like to edit a photo more than is needed. This makes a photo very appealing to look at but if done wrong at all, it completely ruins a picture. The next trait is the people who just amaze you with their camera and don't even need to edit the picture. They are so good with the camera and have the most up-to-date equipment that no matter what the picture they take is going to come out looking like a piece of art. The third and finally trait I have noticed is the what I call emo. They take good photos and are nice people, but no matter how great the picture is, they always make it black and white. They are in love with the black and white editing mode and do nothing besides it. With this essay I am trying to describe the types of photographers that maybe you should run into or the kind you maybe should say no to.
My classification essay will be on the topic of dance routines. Many people are not at all familiar with this topic and I would like to shed some light on the topic. This essay will not only be about the different styles and what those bring to the creativity and difficulty of the dance world but also the different kinds of problems that can arise from the routines the choreographers give us. There are many different types of routines anywhere from Hip hop to ballet. It is a dancers job to become more and more diverse as they grow to be able to participate in all these different styles. This creates the challenge of certain dancers being better at different styles. This is totally fine but can create a problem in a competition setting. The whole point of competition dance is to make a routine "clean", meaning everyone looks the same while doing the movement making the whole team look as one on the floor. When one member is better at a certain style than the other team mates those dancers have to match the one that is very skilled in the style. Thus causing extra work in certain areas. Also there is the problems after choreographers leave. It is their job to bring us a routine that is a certain styles and goes with a specific type of music; however, there are many different things that can happen. If the choreography is not working and the choreographer is unwilling to change it, then after they leave our coaches are left with no option but to change what they have done. Sometimes going far enough to start from scratch with a brand new routine. There is also the in between where the base of the routine is there but it still needs lots of work. Finally there is the easy one where the choreography just works and you don't have to change much. This is rare and wonderful when you find it.
I am classifying different types of musicians. Having been a musician for about 6 years now, I've worked with many different kinds of people who all take on music in a different way. I already find joy in classifying people and figuring out the type of person that one might be, so this essay is in familiar waters. I made different classifications based mostly on skill and work ethic. It is under my belief that nobody is born with it. It all depends on how much time one puts in to their craft. For example, one of the three types is the "try-hard". This person's life is music. I am particularly familiar with this one because I live in this category; I will be drawing a lot of person experience for this essay. I see my categories as being more or less expected, but what I find interesting is more of the raw description of why this person is the way they are. I have also allotted subcategories within each of the three classifications. The try-hard group includes the passionate ones, the competitive ones, and the self-righteous. These are a bit more abstract and that's where the creativity really sparks. I am very excited to be writing this essay!
My classification essay will be about the different types of dogs. For the most part we all have dogs or have had a dog. Most the time we just take for granted what the dog teaches us and them being a part of our lives. All dogs usually fit into three different categories, which I have yet to come up with a clever way to call them, but there's the lazy/loving, the energetic and the protective. It will probably change and shift around those three but they all can fit into those categories. I think it will be different because most people over look the significance a dog can play in your life. Also I think it would make people more appreciate their own dogs and realize that the dog is only trying to help us and be there for us no matter his actions. I believe this will be a topic I enjoy writing about as well.
My Classification essay is about the different types of public speakers you will encounter. I split the different personalities into four groups: the Showstoppers, the Sellers, the Connectors, and the Runners. The Showstoppers are those who draw everyone’s attention when they speak. They may have extravagant props, costumes or use onomatopoeia excessively. They can be quite theatrical and will most likely leave you amused at the end of the show. The next grouping is the Sellers. The Sellers are simply there to sell their product. They will be very persuasive and suave while speaking in order to sell you on their product. They often come with a very polished speech and dressed in a suit. The next group, the Connectors, are those there to make a connection to the audience. Often times you will find they have a heartwarming story, most likely from their past, that will cause the audience to become sympathetic towards them. This speaker talks about their past as a way to motivate others. They explain how if they can overcome with struggles, then you can too! After listening to the Connector speaker, you will find yourself feeling empowered and ready to take on the world. Lastly, I will talk about the Runners. The Runners are those who shake, turn pale, and almost throw up when they have to speak. They aren’t comfortable with public speaking, and would rather run 6 miles than have to give a presentation. I have completed an introductory paragraph and a rough thesis, so far, for this essay. I have been doing public speaking for over 8 years, so I look forward to being able to assess what type of speaker I am as I write about the different classifications. By studying my own speaking style and the style of others around me, I hope to gain a more creative perspective on each grouping.
My classification essay is about the different types of snowboarders you see on the slopes. I have been snowboarding since I was three years old and have come to know the different types of people you meet on the hill. I'm hoping that since I have been snowboarding for so long I will be able to add some minor details that most people wouldn't notice unless they were consistent snowboarders. I'm also hoping to incorporate some snowboarder jargon that most people don't understand and explain it so they can better understand how we speak. The hope is that I'll describe the different types of snowboarders so well that when people go out maybe for their first time they will be able to identify the different types of snowboarders and know which ones to stay away from.
I am planning on writing my essay on the different types of students you encounter while in high school. I am classifying them as Misfits, Miracles, Meritorious, and Mainstream. The Misfits are exactly what you would think they would be. They are the troublemakers and class clowns. They never seem to want to put any time or effort into their schoolwork and their grades certainly reflect that. Miracles, on the other hand, are the exact opposite. They also seem to never put any effort into their work and always seem to be doing anything except what needs to get done. However, their grades don’t suffer in the slightest, some even manage to maintain straight A’s. Meritorious students are the valedictorians of the school. They put large amounts of time and effort into everything they do and never settle for anything less than perfect. Finally, we have the Mainstream. They don’t do great and they don’t do terrible. Sometimes they fail a test and sometimes they ace one. These are just your average, run of the mill, students.
My essay is going for more of an entertaining tone rather than a serious tone. I think what I’m writing about most people should be able to relate to. I’m talking things i’ve done in my personal life, how i’ve seen other people handle the situation, and what i’ve seen in movies to really get all perspectives. When I first was thinking about what to write I had the idea. Although, I wasn’t quite sure how to go about it. I finally thought of different ways to classify and it just built from there. I’m really excited to see my final product when I get all of my requirements fitted into it. It is a challenge but i’m glad to work at it so I get the skill of better essay writing. Even though it can be taken more jokingly than seriously I hope people still enjoy it. To me it’s a more enlightened way to look on something sad.
My classification essay is going to be about the different types of drivers on the road. I feel that it is especially important to understand how other people drive while you are driving because it could reduce the number of accidents on America's roads. I am going to introduce creative aspects by providing analogies about the different types of drivers and tie it in to the different classifications in order to further solidify my argument. I am going to be creative in the development of my classification essay by using strong arguments in order to further urge people to notice the eminent differences in drivers so that we can all have a better traveling experience as a whole. I feel that once people can notice the differences in drivers, they will be better suited to come up with solutions to their frustrations, which could also alleviate the frustrations of the other driver. This could also make for easier roads to learn how to drive on for our young drivers who don't know how to deal with the situations of driving.
My classification essay will be about the different types of spectators at sporting events. I go to many different sporting events, but there always seems to be the same types of spectators there. I will write about four different types of spectators. First, there will be the one that always is yelling at the athletes. Second will be the person who stands up and blocks other people's view for most of the game. Third is the person that sits down for most of the game and does not get too involved in the game. Finally, there is the person who always is cheering and jumping up and down at every good thing the team or individual does. Hopefully, with my experience of going to games and even being involved with the cheering, I am able to show you this classification. Then next time you go to a sporting event I hope you are able to point out these people.
I am planning on writing my classification essay on different types of softball players. I am not sure of my title yet but I have separated them into four different categories. There are cocky ones, the try-hards, the natural athletes, and the coachable. The cocky ones are the ones that know they are good at softball and show it with their actions and words. The try-hards are the ones that go all out for everything and do everything they can to play at their best. The try-hards might not be the best players but they are going all out for everything. The natural athletes are the ones that are born to play. They also put in hard work and put in a lot of effort. The last one is the coachable softball players. These athletes are able to take anything from a coach and respond well to a coach when they are talking to them. These are your four different types of softball players.
My classification essay is about the types of race car drivers, and their style of driving. It is suppose to help people when they go to the races and look at the cars on the track and see how they can tell what type of driving style they have. My categories are the rookie, the educated, the ruthless, the reckless, and the fearless. The rookie will obviously be the guy toward the back that is slower than the rest because he knows less. The educated is the person usually winning and has been doing it long enough they know how their car handles to the track. The ruthless is the people that will wreck you to get ahead. The reckless are the people that wreck their cars all the time and probably shouldn’t be racing. The fearless are the guys that will put their cars into spaces they most guys wouldn’t or doing crazy slide jobs.
As I have been brainstorming Ideas for my Classification Essay, I think I may be settled on a topic. I'll classify something I love and cherish. Chocolate. My title is, " The Fake, The Fancied, and The Feared." Under the Fake category, I'll simply talk about the cheap chocolate that kind of tastes like cardboard. I'll use examples like chocolate gold coins and Sixlets. Though these things may be favorites to some, they certainly can't be classified as real quality chocolate. Under the Fancied category, I'll talk about chocolate everybody loves. The classic M&Ms, Candy bars, Hershey's kisses, and so forth. In the Feared category, I will talk about all of the different fruit-filled chocolate that nobody really wants to try. For example, when receiving a box of chocolates, it seems everyone's first thought is, "which ones are the fruit-filled ones so I know which ones not to grab." Also under this category, I will talk about chocolate that contains ingredients no one would ever pair with chocolate. For example, Hammond's is now making chocolate bars that include potato chips inside them. In fact, they are pairing all kinds of things with chocolate such as Bacon, Red Velvet Cake, PB&J, and even chipotle! By classifying chocolate, my hope to to make the read enjoyable and relatable to all who read it!
My Classification Essay will be about the different types of people in a band. Each category of person has specific faults and strengths that they bring to the table. A band is like a puzzle; it is not complete without every single piece in the correct place. I start off with talking about the Monopoler, a person that would be related to a control freak. They have to plan everything out, everything has to be a certain way, and everyone has to report back to them. If anything is not following the rules set by the Monopoler, then it is wrong. On the contrary, this person makes sure that everything is in order, the practice space is clean, and the equipment stays in working condition. Things get done thanks to the Monopoler. Another category I have created is the Endeavorer. The Endeavorer is someone that wants too much out of something and tries too hard to get something out of the group. While the others may just be doing it for fun and to make good memories, the Endeavorer wants to make a career out of the band. This can lead to a darkening of the mood at rehearsals when the others are having a grand time, because he or she sees it as a waste of time. On the other hand, the Endeavorer brings a sense of ambition to the band. They’re always looking forward to the next practice, urging the others to do the same, and looking for ways to enhance the band. There are a few other categories that I am writing about, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, including myself.
In my essay I will be classifying the different types of customers in retail. Having worked in retail for almost two years, I have a great understanding of the different customers you will encounter and how to deal with the customers with the different personalities. I have separated these groups into the confused, the considering, the chatty, the cheap, and the consistent. The confused are those who seem to always have questions about sales or different styles of clothing. The considering are those who come in with the intent of "just looking." The chatty are the ones who just can't let you leave until they finish their story. The cheap are those who will only shop sale racks, and the consistent are the regular shoppers that you see on a weekly basis. I think that because of my experience in retail I can give people a good look into what it is like.
In my essay I am going to classify different types of people's personalities and how they compare the the personalities of different kinds of sharks. The four species of sharks I will use to describe someone's personality will be the tiger shark, the bamboo shark, the wobbegong shark, and the hammerhead shark. I will compare theses four types of sharks to four different types of personalities in people. The personalities are the aggressive, the kind, the cunning, and the inexorable. The tiger sharks are going to be described as aggressive but I will also talk about how the shark (like people) can be kind if it is comfortable with the people around him. The bamboo shark is described as kind because it is no harm to humans and, in fact, is actually friendly around them. The wobbegong shark is going to be compared to someone who is cunning because the wobbegong hides in the sand and tricks its prey into thinking that it is not there and when they get close enough he strikes. Finally, the hammerhead shark is going to be described as inexorable because it does not stop swimming, for starters, and it does not stop hunting for prey.
I plan on classifying the different types of kids you’d meet at a daycare. I work at a daycare and from personal experience I know that kids can be unapologetic. They say and do what they want without taking a second thought about their decisions. It can be nearly impossible to figure out what children are thinking. My hope for this essay is to analyze the different actions and attitudes of kids to better understand them and why they do the things they do. I want to classify the different types of kids into three different categories. First, there are the kids that listen to the teachers and play with other kids well. Then the kids that are the followers. For example, if they are playing with a well behaved kid they’ll listen but if they are playing with a misbehaved kid they’ll follow their actions. Lastly, there are the kids that test the limits and go beyond them.
My classification essay is going to be on the different types of football player; specifically players during practice. I am going to split the categories into four different sections: the harmed, hecklers, heroes, and the handsome. I feel that this is going to be a very easy topic to write on because I have been a part of all four categories at one point in my life. The first category, the harmed, is referring to the players that always seem to get injured. These players are either always hurt and seem to get better the day before a game. The next category, the hecklers, refers to the people who use practice as a social scene rather than a place to get better. These players are seen on the sideline during practice not paying attention and chatting it up with their buddies. Then comes the heroes. The heroes are the players that continuously work their butts off at practice. They also tend to either be the most liked or disliked on the team. They like to get in everyones face and tell them to work harder. The last group is the handsome. This group is full of the players that are obsessing over how they look rather than how they play. They typically live by the motto "If you look good, you play good". At games you will see these players dressed head to toe in tights, arm sleeves, and a visor. Overall, I think you should be able to put every player into one of these categories!
I am planning on writing my classification essay about the one topic I know most about, band. Specifically marching band. I am still not sure on what my title is going to be but I know I am going to have five different groups. We have the try hards of the band. The ones that want to over exceed in everything. They get upset when other people aren't trying or don't want to work as hard. We have the laid back group. They tend to go with the flow of what the rest of the band is doing. We have the children of the band that doesn't know when having fun is too much. They like to mess around the whole time. There's more but I still need to brainstorm. With nine different sections in band, they all fall in different sections. Each section is different. All the instruments are different, but the personalities fit those instruments. With every different section and all the different personalities, it makes one awesome band. No one could be the same otherwise it would be just boring. It makes our band interesting and a new adventure every practice or every performance.
My classification essay will classify the different types of baseball players there are, not based on position, but their work ethic and personality. There are many different types of baseball players, such as the players that have talent, but lack the work ethic. There are players that have the work ethic, but lack the talent. Then there are the players that lack both, but still believe they are one of the best on the team, these players also sometimes become the “class clown” of the team. Besides for classifying baseball players, I believe this also can be useful in classifying people. As there are many parallels, such as the student that doesn’t study but always gets A’s or the student who studies for hours, but only gets B’s, or the student who does not study and is not naturally smart and complains about his/her poor grades. I believe that this essay will not only classify baseball players, but also help us better understand human work ethic.
My essay is about comparing the different kinds of vehicles; the good, the bad, and the ugly. The way I classify them is by comparing the good, the bad, and the ugly cars out there to the good, the bad, and the ugly in life. One example I have in my paper is about what it means to have a good car, or good life. This is all perspective, like how many people view any car as a good car as simply it being able to get someone from point A to point B. That is much like how there is a little bit of good in everything in life, even if it does not seem like it all the time. However; some people look at celebrities and think they have a good life, which is true, some people prefer a more lavish lifestyle and love the parties, fancy dinners, and nice cars. This section of good cars do much more than just get a person from point A to point B. They will get them there very fast, very comfortably, or even drive themselves where ever it is they need to go. These cars are the Mclarens, Porsches, Koenigseggs Ferraris, Bugattis, Rolls royces, Bentleys, Teslas, and many more. I don't want to give away everything on my essay but this should give the reader a good understanding on where my reasoning is coming from and what my essay is talking about.
I was unsure of what I would be classifying in my essay, but I am stayed hopeful that the idea would come soon since I was running out of time. The most difficult part of this assignment for me has been selecting a topic to write on. A suggestion from none other than Mr. C himself was pirate myths, since reading the idea in the instructions I have become fixated upon pirates and what is fact from fiction. I have decided to write my classification essay on pirates; the looty, the booty and the cootie(s). I plan to touch on factual aspects of real pirates and the myths, the cartoon pirates that appear on television shows for children’s entertainment , and the severe lack of vitamin c, and teeth from the scurvy. I hope that my essay will provide some form of entertainment to my audience, whether it be from the enjoyment of pirates, or from the awful subject choice for a college level essay. I will try to sprinkle in some humour into my writing to make readers not want to gouge their eyes out with a rusty spoon.
My idea for the Classification Essay is to write about the many types of people by how they play video games. People enjoy video games in many ways. There are those that just play games every once in a while when they are board. They don’t really beat the games they just try them out to see if they like it. Then there are those that play through one or two games at a time, beating the main story mode, and just enjoying the experience. Parallel to these people are the online gamers who only play games to compete against others and show off how much better they are than a casual. Alongside these people are those that aim to get every achievement and collectible that there is in the game. These people can be seen as obsessive and to others it doesn’t seem fun, but to them its about the challenge. The most obsessive level are the professionals. This tier is made up of the players that know the ins and outs of their selective games. These people either play competitively or are speed runners who make some money of of their gaming skills. For my essay I would go through each category, include examples of games that these players would play, and talk about what you can learn about a person that fits in each category.
The essay I’m working on is about the uses of bricks. It is meant to be entertaining and not in the least bit serious. Possibly the most creative aspect of it will be turning such an absurd idea into a full five page essay. The key focus will be on humor and how to make it fit in seamlessly. The current groupings that I have in mind are Fillers, Billers, and Killers. The groupings are meant to be simple in their scope to make it more absurd. The Fillers are bricks that are used for their intended purpose, building. They can be used to fill holes in walls. Billers are bricks that are used for destructive purposes, such as smashing a window. All of the smashed windows lead to a large bill. The killers probably have the most self-explanatory name, as well as grim subject matter. The idea is to make the essay as light-hearted as possible through the use of sarcasm and wit. One of the ways I’ve tried to accomplish genuine humor was to do actual research on bricks. This allows for creative jokes about facts that most people aren’t aware of. I’ve included descriptions of the names as well as descriptions for the bricks that fit into each category. I playfully describe what constitutes a brick and what makes one different from another. I think the subject matter will make the essay very unique and enjoyable.
In my essay I will be classifying high school students into the four kinds of students there seem to be. Being a senior this year, I feel as if most students can be categorized into four different kinds of students. The types are sports, reports, arts, and farts. Sports is obviously the sporty kids in the school, they are usually in multiple sports and talk about their games or favorite teams. The reports category include the academic based people. These people can be in other groups, but their main priority is studying for the test on Friday, and maintaining an amazing GPA. The arts kids include band, orchestra, choir, theater, and art kids. These people all have a similarity in which they enjoy expressing themselves in creative ways. And finally, the farts. The farts are a category of student that isn't really in any activities and doesn't really want to be. They don't usually participate in things like homecoming or going to football games and dances.
I am going to write my classification essay on the different residents you meet in a nursing home. I have worked in a nursing home for about a year now and although each resident is slightly different there are three obvious categories that they fit into. These categories are the wanderers, the watchers, and the whiners. The wanderers are the elderly men and women that never seem to remember where they are going or where anything is. They are the ones that are asking for help to get to different rooms. The watchers are the ones that you often see sitting outside or by a window looking around and watching the workers hustle by. The third category is the whiners. These are the residents that are always looking for things to complain about, whether its the food or the temperature of the building.
My classification essay is going to be about the different types of athletes you have on your team or the athletes you may run into in the future. I have participated in sports ever since I was little and I have found there are many types of athletes you run into, each with their own personality or drive for playing in a game. I have found that there is four main categories that each fit into. These categories would consist of the humble, the benchwarmers, the slackers, and the try-hards. The humble are the athletes that usually are really good at sports, but they don't have to be, and work hard to make great plays but never crediting themselves. They always credit the team and give their best effort all the time. The benchwarmers are the athletes that have good potential but they may not be as good as the best people on the team. They always make sure to cheer on the team and keep them motivated. The try-hards are the ones that are not very modest about their athletic ability. They always make sure to do that one extra rep just to show off and make sure the coach see's all their "good work". The final category is the slackers. The slackers are on the team just to have the self image they are on a sports team. They show up to practices and games just to be there, they usually never try and just drag down the rest of the team with their lack of effort.
In my classification essay, I plan on classifying the different types of people you see at the gym. When you go to the gym you encounter many different types of people. The different people that I am going to classify are: the bulky heavy lifters, the scrawny wannabes, the socializers, and the 20 milers. The bulky heavy lifters are the ones that go to the gym wearing a cut-off t-shirts because their arms are too big for the sleeves. These people always have their headphones on and are nodding their head to the beat of the song they are listening to. The scrawny wannabes are the ones that go to the gym so often to lift, but they never seem to be gaining any muscle. They are always eyeing the heavy lifters to see what lift to do next. The socializers are the people that just go to the gym to walk next to their friend on the treadmill and talk. They are spending most of their time chatting. The last group is the 20 milers. These are the people that are running when you first get to the gym, running during your workout, and still running when you are finished with your workout. You walk next to their treadmill on your way out while you are wiping your sweat off your forehead and they do not even have one bead of sweat on them. These are the people that can run for hours and still are not tired. Of course there are other types of people at the gym, but these are just the few that I chose. By classifying the different types of people you encounter at the gym, my hopes is to make this essay entertaining and enjoyable.
My classification essay is about Siblings. I will be classifying them into three categories The first, The forgotten, and The favorite. Each category will explain their role and personality within the family. The first is the sibling that is born first in the family and is always the first one to do everything; first to drive, get a job, graduate, and go to college. The first will be the experiment for new parents a mixture of instinct and trial-and-error. While The forgotten is the middle child who is the follower of the first and the leader for the favorite. The forgotten is overshadowed by the first and may not receive the attention that the favorite is given. The favorite is the youngest and baby of the family who will receive the most attention and be loved by everyone. I chose to classify siblings because I have two of them, older and younger making me stuck in the middle.
For my classification essay, I am writing about the different types of people who watch Netflix. They will be classified as the following: the Binger, the Beginner, and the Bandit. However, I do not want to explain only the streaming habits of people. I also want to explore how people’s streaming habits affect their lives. This explanation could be as complex as how they go about achieving their goals and solving their problems, to as simple as how they start and end their days. By approaching my classification essay from these two angles, those who read my essay will, hopefully, be able to relate to my topic and apply what they learn from my essay to their lives as well. Creatively, I want to incorporate as many nuances to Netflix and shows and movies that are on the streaming service into my essay. These hidden but interesting details should make my essay more enjoyable and relatable for the readers. Writing this essay may be challenging at times, but I am looking forward to how it will all come together to see what I may even learn about myself during the writing process.
My essay will be based on the classifying of music while using the comparison of jelly bean flavors towards the different styles of music out in the world today. The six types I have come up with is the Pacifying, Earsplitting, Chilling, Classical, Jam, and the Supersonic. I will tell about the differences of each based on lyric/word choice, tone, and the rhythm/beat of the music. All the while of doing so; I may give examples then of songs that I personally listen to that would fit into each of the categories to give the readers something to listen to, to get a genuine feel of what I'm classifying. With the six key classifying words being extreme enough to the point so the reader can truly tell the difference I see through music. For example, Pacifying is the type of smooth/soft blues you hear like around New Orleans, the type that calms you down.
In my classification essay, I plan on classifying the different types of moms. Being a parent is difficult and there are many roads parents can take when choosing how to raise their child or children. The different types of mom I will be comparing are the Helicopter mom, the Drill Sergeant mom, the Best Friend mom, and the Consultant mom. The Helicopter mom is always concerned about their child and wants to be there through every step of their life in order to protect them. They want to shelter their child from the reality of the world. The Helicopter is there all of the time making sure they don't fall and scrape their knee. The Drill Sergeant mom commands and directs their child's life. They have a strict plain laid out for their child and the parent wants them to follow it religiously. The Drill Sergeant often guides their child with "tough love" instead of creating an extravagant emotional connection. The Best friend mom acts as more of a classmate or friend rather than a parent. They want to know the latest news or drama and provide an ear to gossip into. The Consultant mom is a mixture of all of these. The Consultant wants to provide a shoulder to lean on, while also guiding their child in the right direction. She lets her child have freedom and gain experiences but moniters the child's behavior and sets boundaries.
I am classifying the types of personalities found in the hallways of Brandon Valley. I decided to classify these people becasue I find it interesting to see how people act when they think no one is watching. When someone goes into class they show you the side they want you to see. Yet for some reason, when they enter the hallway their demeanor can change drastically. As someone who does not take first impressions at face value, I like to discover who people are and their hidden motivations. The way to help classify these people is to watch not only how they act in the hallway or the classroom but when they believe no one is watching or judging. Along with what you see in the hallway comes a back story behind it. For some people their personality shows through in the class room and in the hallway. While for others they can completely change. The reason for this can very in may ways. I find it interesting how many different situations can lead to how someone acts when they think no one is watching. These subcategories can also explain the change in demeanor from hallway to classroom. I have sorted them into shys, which are the people who are completely quiet and talk to no one. this could be for many reasons like being late to class or having no one to talk to. Next is Hi's which are the ones who say hi to everyone they pass. They may being doing this due to popularity, loneliness, or wanting to give someone a good day. They are usually having a personal reason to why they act the way they do. The Whys are the group of people who gossip or ridicule others behind their backs. This is the groups who changes the most from classroom to hall. Then are the Cries who have the worst day ever day and have an emotional issue walking out of ever class. Overall I am excited for this essay and hope to make others feel more comfortable in who they are so they don't feel as though they need to change to be someone they view as better. I am also dabbling in classifying classification essays.
My classification essay is about the different layers of the ocean and all the life that exists there. I have always been extremely interested in the ocean and how 95 percent of the ocean is undiscovered. I am classifying the layers as skin, organs, and tissues/cells. The skin represents the outer layer of the ocean where most of the visible light exists as well as marine life. The organs represent the middle layer of the ocean where light barely reaches and marine life is more difficult to find. The tissues/cells represent the lower layer of the ocean where no light reaches. People know very little about this layer because the pressure is too high for any human to visit. It relates to cells because in the early stages of civilization, people knew virtually nothing about cells. My title is currently "The Human Body: Diving Down into the Unknown". I am not entirely sure if I can use the human body to classify the oceans layers. Otherwise, I will use different personalities of people including the straight-forward, puzzling, and obscure personalities. I am excited to write this essay so I can learn even more about a topic I am interested in. Hopefully, other people will find it interesting as well.
I have chosen to create my classification essay about hip-hop and classifying many of the sub-genres and subcultures in hip-hop. I am an avid hip-hop fan and I truly think that hip-hop is currently the most progressive and creative music genre there is right now. I have thought about separating my classifications into a few different ways. I have thought about categorizing it by era, writing about the boom-bap 90’s style of gangster rap, the 2000’s more almost electronic instrumentation (a good example of this would be Kanye West’s albums released during the latter half of the 2000’s,), and the 2010’s revival of jazz rap and the many different subcultures in hip-hop at the current time due to the internet allowing for many stars to rise and create many different sounds. I think the best way to classify them would be by my own personal taste. I think this because I feel taking this route will make my paper more creative and more of my own as well as allowing me to write more as I would feel more passionate about the writing material.
My classification essay is about the different types of drivers I have encountered. I have been driving for a while now, so I believe I have a great understanding of the different types of drivers. I have separated them into four groups: the sluggish, the impatient, the newbies, and the angry. The sluggish drivers are those who go ridiculously slow, they either don’t know the speed limit or they just don’t care. The impatient drivers are the ones that can’t wait on other people, they always seem to be in a hurry. The newbies are those who go the exact speed limit and follow every law. The angry drivers, also known as the ones with crazy road rage, are the ones that honk every time something angers them. I think that with my experience in driving, i’ll be able to give people a good look into what it is like.
My classification essay is about different types of people at the gym. I am going to break them up into four groups including the lazy, the avid, the flaunters and then finally the talkers. This topic will not be very arduous for me to write about because I have encountered all of these people at the gym. The lazy includes people that go to the gym with no motivation to get better and just go through the motions as they do their lifts; ultimately not reaching their potential. The avid include the people that look forward to going to the gym to see themselves getting better each and every day. They love seeing the progress they make and look forward to making more everyday. Then there is the flaunters that love to show off their gains and put down people who are just starting to workout. Finally the talkers are the ones that are like cousins to the flaunters. The difference would be that the talkers say that they can push more weight then they are actually able to and say they lift when they actually don't.
My classification essay is about the four different types of superheroes. I have sorted them four different types of superheroes: The Vigilante, The Boy-Scout, The Icon, and The Newbie. The Vigilante is a superhero who generally has their own idea of justice. They believe that their way is right and rarely change their mind. The Vigilante will like to work alone but often finds themselves in groups of superheroes. A famous vigilante is Batman. The Boy-Scout is righteous and treats everyone with respect and kindness. They love working with groups of superheroes and will often be of great importance and a leader for the group. Famous “boy-scouts” are Captain America and Superman. The Icon will be the face of something groundbreaking. The Icon will lay the foundation of what is to be expected and possible in generations after them. An example of an icon is Wonder Woman. The Newbie will be a newcomer to fighting villains and fighting for justice. The Newbie will be over-excited and eager to find their place in the world and among the superheroes. A famous newbie is Spider-Man. This essay is especially fun because I am already a huge superhero and comic fan. Getting to write about something I love is an incredibly fun process.
I'm choosing to write my classification essay about different types of athletes in high school. All athletes are different. I can tell you I am very different from my teammates. I think it is important to write this essay because many might not know where they fit in. My categories will be based on: the determined athletes, the cheerleader athletes (stand on sideline), the skilled (very athletic), and the try hards. I think my football team has all those categories and maybe even a few more. An important aspect is that all of us, no matter who we are, all play for one team. We all have one goal which is to win. Although some may not get playing time they are still there cheering on the team. Many of the players are determined to get to the state championship. Also, many try as hard as they can in practice to get playing time. They will do anything to be on that field. I think this essay development will be easy because I can base it off my team.
In my essay, I will classify different people based on their reputations by comparing them to desserts. Reputation is undoubtedly important to many people for various reasons. And like people, many confections have reputations that precede them. After all, many recipes have traditions going back centuries, giving them ample time to adopt reputations of their own. The comparisons will be built on two things. First, the actual reputation of each dessert within the world of baking will be used to compare them to different people. Second, the elements of these desserts such as ingredients, flavors, and method of baking will be used to compare them to people. I plan to utilize rich figurative language in my essay; not only will I compare desserts to people, but I will continually personify the desserts. I also see the use of an analogy as an opportunity to write more creatively about a topic by drawing parallels between two things and by using imagery.
In my classification essay, I will be classifying the different types of fans at sporting events. I will mainly be focusing on fans at football games. I have split them into 5 categories; The Clueless, The Careless, The Conditioned, The Common, and The Crazies. The Clueless are the people that are at the game but do not even know what a first down is, or even a touchdown. They may cheer for the wrong team and not even know it. They might even try hard to understand the game but just will not ever get it. The Careless are the socialites that are there to just to talk to their friends. They may actually know about the sport but it will never show because they do not pay attention to the game. I call the bandwagon fans The Conditioned. They follow which ever team is winning at the time. They have convinced themselves they are true fans of that team. The Common are the basic fans. They know what they are talking about but are not obnoxiously loud. They are also at every game but do not need to show it off, they just support and cheer for their team. The last category that I made is The Crazies. These are the over-the-top, face painted fans. They are obnoxious, yell at the refs, and try to be the coaches. Football season is my favorite time of year and it will be a fun topic to write about.
My classification essay will be about the different kinds of kpop fans around the world. There are many different types of fans, but I have simplified it down to the main three; The Stalkers, The Calmers, and the No-Jammers. The Stalkers (also called "saesang" fans in the essay) are the fans that constantly attack and harass their favorite groups/idols. I go in more depth about what kind of behavior they tend to have in the essay. They are the fans that tend to cause the most trouble in the kpop community, as they break company/idol rules and try their hardest to get their oppa's and nuna's attention. The second kind of fan, The Calmers as I put it, are the ideal fans that respect their idols' rules and such. They are the kind of fans that are understanding and loving, and supportive in every way. Fans like The Calmers are those that help idols when times are tough. The final kind of kpop fans is The No-Jammer. They're the fans that survey but do not obey. They are the kind of fans that watch their favorite groups but don't support them in any way. In a sense, to most people, they are casual, but they really aren't. They usually instigate fights between stalker fans as a means of entertainment. No-Jammers are not fun in any way. Kpop is something I love and support fully and a genre like this is too good to pass up.
My classification is going to be about the different shoppers at Hy-vee. Many different types of shoppers exist and they all have their own unique habits in the store. There are the good shoppers, the bad shoppers, the shady shoppers, and the quirky ones. This reminded me of a spectrum, and, eventually, Skittles. Some Skittles are liked, while others aren't nearly as appreciated. This reminded me of the shoppers at Hy-Vee. I am incorporating my experiences of working as a checker into how I classify the different customers. I also wanted to include some sort of a metaphor within the essay to help tie everything together and create a way to readers to draw connections. Comparing the store to a rainbow and the shoppers to Skittles seemed like an engaging way to allow these connections to be drawn. Customers that seem to clog the lines and add unnecessary time to the checkout process are the unwanted Skittles. These are usually the yellow ones. The shoppers that are speedy and polite with their shopping are the better skittles, or the red ones.
I have found it difficult to find something creative to write about. All that I have been able to think about this week is cheer and football. I am hoping that something will come to me this weekend as I am going up to SDSU. Maybe I could write about different college students. The only other ideas that I have came up with are: different types of cheerleaders and different types of drivers. I think my best idea would be to classify cheerleaders because I know the most about that subject. Although these might change, the categories that I have separated are: The Stereotype, The Charlatan, The Tyro, and the Demur. I still would like to find a better word for "stereotype" because all of the other categories have good vocabulary words as titles. That will give me a better chance to describe what they mean. Hopefully more will come to me soon, but for now I think I have an idea that could bring me somewhere.
My classification essay is about the different types of artists. I am classifying them as the Talented, the Terrible, the Trailblazer and the Trainee. The Talented are those who have fully learned how to create stunning works of art and have found their own individual art style. They have probably planned on or currently are attending art school. The next is the Terrible. These are the ones who are always exclaiming "I can barely draw a stick figure!" at anyone they see drawing. They, indeed, are not that great at all, but, they could be. The third is the Trailblazer. These are the established artists that have become bored with traditional art and have decided to change it up a bit. They are always pushing the boundaries of what could be considered art. They are the ones who use art as a form of protest and as a way to get peoples attention. These include street artists and living statues. The final is the Trainee. These are the artists who are good, but they just haven't learned it all yet. They mostly draw for hobby and do not plan on making it a career. I'm excited to write about this because I love art and all the different people involved in it.
In my classification essay, I will be classifying people based on the books that they read. I am grouping people into five types of literature: Classic, Horror, Young Adult, 'Nerds,' and Nerds. The Classic group are people who read exclusively literary canon, and are proud of that. They believe that modern literature is unreadable, and because of this think higher of themselves than necessary. The Horror group read Stephen King only, and are probably going through an identity crisis. These people love American Horror Story, and definitely have a Tumblr blog dedicated to the show. The Young Adult group believes that they would absolutely win the Hunger Games given the chance, as well as be Dauntless, even though they are certainly the Caillou's of the world. The 'Nerds' are generally composed of dudebros who read Lord of the Rings and watch Game of Thrones "for the plot." They also have a superiority complex, however they are unaware of it. They might live in their parents basement still, and definitely own a fedora. Finally, the Nerds are those who read Harry Potter in fourth grade and haven't gotten over it. While they believe that they would be sorted Griffindor, they are much closer to Hufflepuff when interacting with others in the real world. I love reading books, and have gone through many phases while reading, so I am very excited for this essay.
My classification essay will be on the different types of drum majors that one might have the opportunity to view, whether they are in marching band or watching during a performance. I've been in marching band all throughout high school so I thought that this was the perfect topic to classify. I've broken down the varying types of drum majors into 4 groups. Those are the Try-Hards, the Flappers, the Wannabes, and the Shorties. The Try-Hards are the drum majors that somehow found a way to overdo everything while conducting, such as, facial expressions, leadership style, and commands. The Flappers are the conductors that are imitated consistently by band members. They have solid leadership attributes, but leave much to be desired when they conduct. Basically, they are the equivalent to a bird when they conduct. The Wannabes are the drum majors that act militarily, treat the high school marching band as a drum corps, and don't take advice well. The Shorties can be found with almost any marching band. They are the drum majors that are respected by the band but have such a small stature that people don't expect them to be in a leadership role. I thought that this topic was the most creative for me because I could relate situations that i have experienced throughout my 4 years in marching band.
My essay classifies instruments based on how they manipulate air. I chose to classify instruments because I feel confident that I know enough about them to be able to diversify them by their function and how their functions are unique. Some instruments like flutes have series of holes to allow the air to escape or continue traveling through the instrument. Air can also be manipulated by series of tubes that increase or decreases the distance air travels, like a trumpet. Distances can also be changed with slides that manually move instead of automatically, like a trombone. And finally striking can cause air to compress and travel in percussion instruments like drums.Usually instruments are grouped based on what the instrument is made of such as brass instruments are generally made of brass and woodwind instruments are sometimes made of wood. I thought it was creative to classify them by function rather than composition because how they function is vital to how they fulfill their purpose in playing music.
My classification essay is going to be about homecoming. I chose to classify three different types of people during homecoming the gloomy, thrilled, and electrified. The gloomy are the people who dislike all that homecoming is and are more than likely afraid to get into the spirit of the school due to the possibility of being humiliated. The thrilled are the people who like homecoming and do as much as they feel they need to do to be a part of the school and part of their friends around them. The electrified are the ones who go above and beyond what is expected and are usually the ones who love football and love their school. I thought it would be different to classify these people by their attitudes towards their school and the way people care about how they look to others. I believe that the way we feel about our humility and our school does effect what kind of person people are during a festive time such as homecoming. My classification will help people think a different way bout why certain people go all out and why some don't even try to participate in a schoolwide event.
My classification essay is going to be about the people you meet in your life. In my essay I am going to start with classifying the people that provide your life with a solid foundation. These are the people who will be with you no matter what happens. My next group will be, the the people who come and go out of your life with the changing of seasons. This group is people you may have been friends with but as you moved to a new stage in your life you grew away from them. My third group will be, the people you will recognize when you see but not have much knowledge about who they are. This group of people are part of our lives but don’t always have a lasting impact on you. The final group of people are the ones who you see when you are doing day to day things. They are the people you see when you go shopping or to get your car oil changed. I think that My essay will be interesting because it looks at the impact people play on your life.
My classification essay is going to be about the various types of baseball players. In my essay I am going to start off by talking about the die hard baseball players who come early, and stay late. These are the players who push you to get better by their actions. These players come early to get the field set up. They They stay late to hit and throw a bullpen, and they are always striving to be better. The next player that I am going to talk about is the naturally gifted player. They show up on time to practice. While they are at practice, they put in just enough effort to get better. They don't stay late, and they, most of the time, will just leave after practice. They help pick up balls and clean up the field, but they are by no means going above and beyond to help. They know they are good. They also know that that spot on the lineup will most likely be theirs based on how good they are. The next type of baseball players are the complainers. They show up generally on time, if they even show up at all, and they give little effort. They are the type of people to not try during catch and drills. These people don't put in the effort, and they don't play because of it. They could possibly not even show up, and they would still expect to play. They complain when they don't. Playing baseball my whole life, I thought that this topic would be a good topic because I have been around every kind of baseball player, and I still have a few of every kind on my team today.
My classification essay is going to be about the different types of snowboarder you will see on the average ski hill, and how those are classified by different types of juices. Your first group is logically the learners, those with little skill for the time being, those are apple juice riders. They are comfortable and generally the same across the board, but have not yet developed the skill and flavor to branch out into their own styles. The vast majority of riders, those who casually snowboard for fun with their friends, these are the orange juice of the snowboarding world. It's familiar and common, and the majority of people can enjoy it with little fuss. Orange juice is a classic and so is casual riding. There are those who seek to understand something through snowboarding, to master fundamentals, these are your cranberry juice snowboarders. They work hard and endure whatever weather they face, and ride on whatever condition the snow is in. They understand that while you may not enjoy what you're doing currently, the results you look for--and they exist--will present themselves with time. The final group push the edge of possibility, these are the strawberry-kiwi riders, or really whatever wacky combination of juices you'd like to use. They're bold, and like the juice they represent, full of flavor and style. Almost everyone enjoys watching these people ride, but sometimes it can be a little much, just as their respective juices. This essay will be interesting and creative because of the abstract but fitting connections made within the essay.
My classification essay is going to be about the types of worker in all the types of work in life. the main types are the Drudge, the Delighted, the Day by Day, the Die Hard, and the Daring. I will expand on the work ethic and how each of these types of worker handles their job, their work ethic, and how they fit in with one another in the workplace. The first group is the Drudge. These are people who hate their job and always have a hard time going to work in the morning. They will always complain about how hard their job is and never work hard. The second group is the Delighted. These people are the ones who genuinely love their job. They jump out of bed each morning eager to take on the day and the tasks at hand. The phrase, "If you love your job, you will never work a day in your life." My next group will be the Day by Day: these people will show up on time and do their work, but never find a passion in their job. They go on doing their 9 to 5 and living for the weekend but live an unfulfilling life. The next group is the Die Hard. These are the people who are willing to stay hours late and work as much as they need to to get the job done. Completing a challenge and moving on to the next one is what keeps them going and striving for completing the next obstacle. the final category of worker is the Daring. The Daring are people who will think outside the box. They are few and far between, but if a company can find a good one, their profits will skyrocket. They are very rare and in turn, valuable, but, when they stop thinking of good ideas, they will be pushed to the curb for someone who can. This makes their job not very reliable. This is the base of my essay and will show how each type of worker plays a role in the workplace.
My classification essay will be on the different elements or drums of a drumline and how they represent some of the different people of the world. I have been in drumline who entire high school career, so I figured it would not easy for me to classify them. Since there are three parts of I drumline I will be classifying the snares or the flashy, upfront, attention grabbers of the world. Then comes the tenors or the try hard, perfectionist, everything most right people of the world. Lastly comes the basses the laid back, go with the flow, chill type people of the world. Being on a phenomenal drumline for four years and spending over five hundred hours with them I can definitely say the different drums match the personality of the people who play them. I plan to use real life examples to help persuade the readers of my writing that the stereotype matches the drum.
My classification essay will be about classifying the different types of friends you can have. You have the Weekday friends, the Squad, the Plastics, and the Pen pals. The Weekday friends are the type of people that you are friends with at school but never hangout with outside of school. You would never be seen with these people on weeknights or during the weekend. The Squad friends are the type of people you hang around the most. You have inside jokes about almost everything and people are surprised when you aren't with them. The Plastics are the type of people who are only friends with you when they need something from you. They are not actually a real friend but they like to think they are if you have something they need. The Pen pals are the people you are friends with even though they don't live close to you. These friends you don't get to see often but when you do its some of the best times of your life.
In my classification essay I will be categorizing the customers that come into Sunshine based on their shopping habits and personalities. I will be putting them into categories that also correspond to a job you could have in the store, The Day Ladies, The Night Deli, The Caterers, and the Store Managers. This is exciting in a creative way because I get to combine all the people I come into contact with at the store into one essay. I will get explore how each party, employee or customer, behaves within the hierarchy of the job or of their position in the community. Over the year I have worked in the Sunshine Deli I have encountered many different types of people and worked every aspect of my job so I should be able to accurately assign the customers to their groups. I hope that I can do Tony justice with this essay.
I had the idea of writing my essay about classifying the term Nerd. Nerds come in all shapes and sizes and these people all seem to be classified into just one group. Plus there is the way that people use the word Nerd. People use it but without actually understanding what the word actually means. I intend to break this class down into various categories which I have dubbed the Casual, the Correct, the Cosplayer, and the Conceptual. Each class is a different branch of Nerd culture. The casual is the everyday nerd while the correct is the always politically correct one. The cosplayers are the ones that like to dress and be apart of the world they love and the conceptual are the ones that love to make up the world that people inhabit. Through this essay I hope to express these in a way that helps people better understand and respect the term Nerd.
My essay is about classifying the different types of fans at football games. There is The Vain, the people who are “too cool” to cheer or stand. The Insane, the people who will cheer as loud as they can but are not really sure what is going on. The Brain, these are the people that know everything that is going on. These people will make sure to repeat every play just to let you know that they know what’s happening. Lastly, The Freshman, this type of fans do not even know what it means to cheer. No matter how many times you tell them to yell their graduating year, they will still not understand. This idea came to me when me and my friend were talking about going to the homecoming game. I am looking forward to my final draft of this essay and I believe it will be one of my best.
My essay is going to classify the different types of customers at coffee shops. First you have the regulars. The regulars have their normal order. When they pull up into the parking lot you already know to start on their drink. They normally leave the best tips and are always in such a good mood. Then you have your floaters. These customers come in moderately often, but not as often as a regular. They normally get a different beverage or food item each time. These are the customers who are very "nit picky" on their drinks—expecting a perfect drink every time. Next you have the first timers. They never go to a coffee place and will continually ask you whats the difference between two beverages. You can spot a first timer by the amount of the time they spend looking up at the menu board. Finally, you have the late nighters. These customers will stay until you lock the doors at night. They are typically high school and college students. They tend to linger around during finals week. They will abuse your free refill perk, and will have to be reminded that you close at 9:00. I decided to write my essay on coffee customers because I work in a coffee place and it is cool to think about customers in groups. I am looking forward to see where this idea takes me.
I am planning on classifying the types of friends you have by relating them to movies. Movies come in a multitude of genres, such as comedies, dramas, action/adventure, and classics. Everyone has friends, but the types of friends each person has are not all the same. There are friends who make you laugh whenever you're down, and you are always happier after you see them: they are the comedies. The dramas are friends who always have something major going on in their lives, they sometimes make you cry, but they also inspire you. Friends who are always down to go on adventures with you, whether it's 3 in the morning or right after school, are the action movies. Finally, the friends that you have known since preschool that you can always count on are the classics. You might not be as close with them as you once were, but you know that they will always be there for you and you will never stop being friends.
I chose to write my essay by classifying stereotypes. I focused on three large groups of people that commonly have a stereotype imbedded in their description. Stereotypes have been around for as long as most can remember. I hope to add creativity to my writing by going in depth about the history behind these stereotypes, producing a reason as to why it came to be, and stuck around. Although we may not all be proud of it, we all are guilty of initial thoughts coming to our minds when we see someone, or view an action being made. I hope by writing this it opens my own eyes as to how many stereotypes there really are and how many are actually true to some of that particular groups population. Stereotypes, however, are called stereotypes because they are only thoughts you may have about a group not what is actually there and happening in real time.
My classification essay is going to be about the different types of drivers. Through my 4 years of being on the road, I have encountered very many drivers, but all seem to fall into three main categories: The Daring, The Caring, and the Swearing. The Daring drivers are those ones who drive like maniacs without a care in the world. These drivers are a hazard to the road and are avoided at all costs. They are usually found blaring music and passing other cars without the use of blinkers. Every time the Daring drive, they almost get into an accident at least a few times. The Caring drivers are the nice, calm, and sweet drivers. These people let pedestrians cross at sidewalks and slow their cars down so you may merge over. The Caring are almost too nice, and sometimes end up getting walked over by the other two categories. Slow drivers also falls into this group, because although they aren't driving as fast as everyone else, they are handling their automobile with care and patience. The last group of drivers is The Swearing, also known as the "road-ragers". This group is angry, impatient, and often demonstrates this by yelling vulgar things and honking the horn. The Swearing are obnoxious and rude. These are my three categories of different drivers and will base my classification essay off of it.
My classification essay is going to be over the types of fans at cross country meets. Cross country is an uncommon sport which is why I think people need help in knowing how the basic cross country fans act at a meet. By informing people of the types of fans at cross country meets it can help them figure out which category they fit into and encourage them to come give the not-so-popular sport a shot at redemption. Since I have been in Cross Country since the 7th grade I have examined many different types of fans. By being support by almost every type i can clearly state how to identify one by their behavior. know how each of them act. Within cross country there are the Die hard Dads, motivational moms, the crazy clappers, and the first time fans. In my essay I plan to go into detail about what it takes to become one of these four categories.
My classification essay is going to be about the different kinds of football fans. Not just any football fan but specifically fans at a Brandon Valley football game. I have attended many football games throughout middle school and high school so I feel like I have a pretty good idea of the different kind of fans! The first kind of fan is the Lively. They are the kind of fan that is way to excited for a football game. They spend practically the whole week preparing for it. They also stand for the entire game and never stop cheering. The next kind is the Foggy. The Foggy are the people who have no idea what is going on. They are mainly there to watch the band at half-time. Another group is the Grouchy. The Grouchy are mostly consisted of dads who take the game a little too seriously. They are usually mad when their kids mess up and also yell at the referees a lot. The final group is the Flakey. These are the ones who say they are going to go to the game but don’t end up showing up. They usually find something better to do.
My classification essay outlines the differences between the 5 types of department store customers. I chose to use customers because I feel that I have a unique perspective when looking at different types of customers because I work at Scheels. It has given me a lot more viewing material and a lot broader spectrum to actually distinguish the differences between customers. I think that if anyone else would have decided to classify department store customers their classes they would be almost completely unique. I think this is because just the way that different people think and the different environments that said customers are seen in change a persons perspective on a certain type of customer. I think I have also taken a different approach to this essay in a sense that before I introduce the customer I describe their demeanor in the store. In the first half of the paragraph I describe what they say, what they look like, and just how they act around the other people in general. In the second half of the paragraph I delve into who might fit this role and what kind of person this might be and I think that allows the writer to be a little more creative when writing this essay.
My essay is classifying the different style of wrestling. It is not about the styles as in: folkstyle, freestyle, and greco, but rather about how individuals wrestle a folkstyle (format approved by the SDHAA) match. Wrestling is a fairly uncommon sport, and people, even if they understand the rules, do not always understand the mindset of the wrestler as they would other athletes. I have been wrestling since I was four and have tried many different styles and wrestled against many styles. I feel that if people understood the styles and mind games of wrestling it may draw more of an appeal, especially since it is an olympic sport (even though the olympics uses freestyle and greco). The styles I have come up with, are the studs, strong kids with little technique, the stallers, kids who will never take the effort to create action, spazzes, kids who move with little purpose but have little give in them, the stick, simular to a staller but from the mat, and the scientists, the kids who have very good technique.
my classification essay is about the different types of the college roommates one might end up with when heading off the college. A college roommate is a chance to learn on how to deal with other types of people while also figuring out if living on your own is really for you. There so much one can learn from another to help them grow that having all sorts of kinds of roommates is beneficial. But, you also need to know what you might be getting into before you head off to college to live with a complete stranger. The Slovenly is an unorganized, dirty, always late person. The Systematic is one who has OCD, very tidy/meticulous, and shows up when needed most. The sidekick is the one you click with, knows you super well, is a basic mirror image of yourself, and someone you have created a life long friendship with.
The classification essay topic I decided to go with is the different types of people that go to great bear. For example, there are beginners, annoying kids, and all sorts of different people that ride the slopes. In my essay I break them down in as what type of person you are for what trail you pick, if someone only does Terrain Park then they are probably pretty good at the sport unless they don't do any of the terrain. There is many ways to now break that person down, if they don't do any of the terrain but still choose to ride down the trail without doing tricks then you could call them a scaredy cat or a beginner and I go into detail on what they could be by the way they act when they ride down the hill. So many branches of categories I get into, i try to specify and put people into as many groups as I can but keep it to a certain extent because if someone read my essay that doesn't snowboard or ski then they are going to have know idea what I'm talking about half the time for the names of the groups I used.
I decided to classify different types of students in school, specifically how they follow written instructions. Some kids do exact what is told of them, others search for loopholes, and few just disregard the rules all together. I have been in school for almost thirteen years now and have met so many different kinds of people during that time. Although my years have been spent at three separate schools, all the children seem to have the same basic response options toward authority. I will use bowling analogies in order to better explain these categories. I thought it was creative that I was able to tie in bowling terms, as I know lots about this subject because I have been on the Brandon team for three years. This time has given me a chance to study techniques of throwing a bowling ball. Some people throw the ball directly down the lane without wavering, others use complex strategy and spin the ball so it hits at an angle, and a potion of players just toss the ball in the general direction of the pins, not caring about what score they receive. Being passionate and caring about the topic you are writing about majorly impacts the quality of the finished product. Once I found that these two groups had similarities it was easy to connect them to better explain my classification. I plan on making my essay even more intriguing by using literary devices and large vocabulary which will grab the audience's attention.
I decided to have my topic for the classification essay be about the different types of people you can find in the school hallways. I tried to make my essay more interesting by adding my own sense of style and tone so the reader wouldn't feel the essay is stale and robotic. In essence, my essay is a mini survival guide with tips about who you might come across in a hallway, how to spot the different types of hall-walkers, and how to react if you encounter a certain kind. I really enjoyed getting to come up with our own kind of classification that is new and original. I tried to pick a topic that is relatable to anyone who has been in school hallways during the chaotic passing period. I tried to keep the readers attention with my essay by trying to make it slightly humorous, while also informational, persuasive, and helpful. I also used colorful vocabulary to spice up the writing a little. I usually have a hard time picking out what I want to write about in essays but this came easier to me and the prompt helped me start to brainstorm, as did discussing the essay with my friends.
I chose gamers as the subject for my classification essay. I am a very avid gamer myself, so I was already intimately familiar with the different types of people who play video games. Individuals who don't play games view all gamers as basically the same, which is a horrifying stereotype that people like me fervently object. My main goal was to show non-gamers the true passion and uniqueness of the gaming world and its inhabitants. Gamers are people too, people that the world is accepting as mostly normal, albeit rather slowly and cautiously. This topic is relatable to the average human in society because gamers are literally everywhere nowadays. We are a massive community of individuals, linked together sometimes solely because of a shared interest and passion in a video game. The virtual world that gamers call home is something to be proud of and enjoyed. We are a diverse group of people. Not every gamer is a shy, socially inept introvert. That's just me.
My classification essay has many creative aspects and the creative development of it is tremendous. I classified essayists to players in Fortnite to appeal to modern day kids (many of whom play Fortnite). I play Fortnite myself and could easily list several different aspects of Fortnite that coincide with creating essays. Although they are two very different subjects, I was able to link these two subjects in a creative, yet obvious way: planning. How one plans before a battle in Fortnite relates to how one plans out one's essay. People who do not play Fortnite can still understand what I am writing about, because I give enough knowledge about the game in order for a person to understand the basis of my argument. I believe that my essay is a very unique and creative one due to the fact that I am talking about gaming and school together, which are two subjects that are rarely seen side-by-side. I am passionate about Fortnite and hope that I can even help myself get better at making essays with my understanding and prowess at Fortnite. If I can draw a correlation that helps me with my essays, why can I not put it down in words to help others? That is exactly what I did and I am glad I did it.
