The most demanding part of this essay for me is trying to be creative with my words. I am using a classifying system between volleyball and The Lion King. In my mind The LIon King is whimsical in a way, there are animals talking, the talking animals go through real life struggles, so for me I have a goofy topic and I want to match that with my writing style. As for creativity I feel as my idea is creative but trying to produce it in writing is looking to be more tricky than I was leading myself to believe. I have not reached the point in my essay where I need any extending analogies but I for see possibly having to use one down the road. During this essay as frustrated as it is making I am having fun. The characters I get to write about are hilarious and I get to write about my favorite sport so of course it is a good time! Discovering who the characters are and revealing them in a way to the readers in my essay about how they can be relatable to who we are in the real world, makes me want to take a step and see the whole picture. Sometimes people are focused on one little thing and overemphasis about it and this essay is making me take a step back and see a whole knew perspective on things. I do in a way feel like if someone were to read my essay right now they can tell I wrote it. I am generally a pretty silly person, so with the characters I get to write about my essay is turning out to be pretty silly. I’m pretty comfortable writing in a formal and kind of structural way so some spots may seem that way throughout my essay but I am trying not to make it sound so formal.

So far in the process of composing my essay, the most difficult part has been attempting to constructively include the ten final exam terms, in addition to meeting the requirement of five pages. My essay is based around the three types of farmers in today’s society and their different personalities/farming procedures. Knowing information about this topic is not hard for me due to being indulged in the practice my entire life. However, the part I find difficulty in is effectively organizing my thoughts in an ethical and entertaining way. It is easy to come up with ideas in one's head, but the true challenge comes upon expansion of those ideas. Although it has been an interesting challenge, I am still thoroughly enjoying all aspects of this essay assignment. This assignment has actually put me in a position to learn more about the many farmers out there and has expanded my own knowledge extensively. I have not utilized as many extended analogies as others since I have decided to take a more straightforward approach to my classification rankings. However, I am still not finished and may find a way to sneak a few in if it flows with the other topics successfully. This essay can by far-and-away be distinguished as my own because it is written and constructed in a way similar to my thinking. In addition to that, not many other students would most likely decide to do a classification essay on farmers over other hot topics. Every student composed an essay based on their interests and pre-existing knowledge of the topic at hand. Therefore, due to personal experiences, circumstances, and interest, I decided to write about the topic of farmers and farming. Although I had other topics in mind, this topic proved to be the most effortless in compiling and constructing information. Thus, I continue to look forward to further expanding upon my classification of farmers and hope I can complete the essay as successfully as at the start.

The most demanding task is having more variety in my sentences. I always have subject first then verb. All my sentences are usually the same length as well. I need to try harder to make some sentences longer and contain more punctuation like colons, semicolons, or dashes. Furthermore, I need to have some sentences be short and concise. I also need to start my sentences with other things like gerunds, adverbs, prepositional phrases, or dependent clauses. This will help add more variety to my essay. This will also help me check off some final terms that are needed in this essay. What is also demanding is that you cannot use first person. You have to try a little harder to say what you are thinking when you can’t use first person. Especially in this essay, because most of my classifications are easily explained by using first person; however, that is not an option. In other essays it will be easier to not use first person because I won’t be explaining something that is familiar to everyone.

In my classification I am trying to be very creative. I am trying to classify types of friends as Disney princesses. This is really fun to me because I have adored Disney princess movies ever since I was little. Therefore, being able to use this childlike admiration in a college level class is very exciting. Students still could have classified friends, but they probably did not use Disney princesses as their classification names. So, I believe this essay does stand out as mine because most students have probably grown out of the princess phase; however, I have not. I am still a child at heart. I am also having a fun and relatively easy time explaining my classifications because I always picture one of my friends while I am writing the classifications and that makes it easier to compose. I hope when my peers read my classification essay, they will have as much fun reading it as I did composing it.

I think some of the most demanding requirements for this essay are the vocab words. I think they are demanding because I am not very good at using big words and though I know the definitions of the words it is hard to use them the right way in your essay. In the beginning I thought that reaching five pages was going to be hard but it was so much fun to write that I did not struggle with that at all. I believe I am being very creative, you really have to think and kind of put yourself in the person shoes that you are classifying, and if you can do that successfully, then you are being pretty creative in my opinion. I believe that I am doing just that. I am going in depth about each classification even to the extent to say what this type of person may do for a job.

This essay was a lot of fun to write because I do attend Black Friday, not on Thanksgiving night, but I come the next morning. I go with my family and my grandma, and she is the Addict. She will get anything she wants when we are out shopping and it is hilarious to watch. I have seen the things I describe in my essay on Black Friday, it is funny to see just how hard people will try to get an item, it is almost kind of ridiculous. It was a lot of fun to write this essay because I do think, while I am shopping, what to call or classify all these people as. I believe this essay does stand out as mine because I am using examples of what I have seen at Black Friday from previous years. Someone may be able to write about Black Friday shoppers, but they could not have came up with the same descriptions of my classifications. Hopefully when my peers attend Black Friday, they can see some of my classifications in the people around the mall.

The most demanding requirement for my classification essay has been the ten final exam terms. In my essay, I am classifying the different types of online multiplayer gamers based upon how they play the game and how they communicate with other players. Because I play numerous amounts of video games, I have experienced the wide spectrum of gamers. Using this knowledge, it was fairly simple to be able to create this paper. The hardest part is changing up how I write and including the different types of sentences and punctuation. I would consider myself an average writer in the sense that I can complete essay, but I do not include much variation in the styles of how I write. I tend to stick to the simple noun verb fluff sentence, but this essay and it’s requirements are challenging me to get outside of my comfort zone and compose greater works.

So far, I have really enjoyed this essay. I am able to take a part of my life and put it into words on a screen. It has been really fun talking about the different gamers that I experience on a daily basis. Between the five classes I have--the Sweaty, Enraged, Squeaker, Troll, and Optimist--I have enjoyed writing the most about the Optimist. Especially in competitive games like Call of Duty or Destiny, I like to classify myself in the Optimist group. I like to encourage my team to do better and try to raise the spirits if my teammates are not having a good game. Not only do I see myself as an Optimist in-game, I also like to view myself as one offline. I like to encourage others and help them as much as possible in whatever they are doing. I love how I am able to include a part of my personality into an essay which is challenging, but enjoyable, to write.

I feel for me the most demanding requirement for the classification essay is the use of the ten final exam terms. I feel this is very demanding for me due to me not being the best with grammar. For my classification essay I am classifying the different type of people you would encounter in the gym. The composing of this essay for me has been pretty easy due to the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years from going to different gyms and viewing the different types of people their. One thing though that was a challenge was only having a limited number of classifications for our specific topic. Due to having a maximum number of classifications that we could have I decided to go with four groups, Frauds, Bods, Lauds, Gods. I feel during this essay I have been very creative, from the use of words I normally would not use to having phrase and punctuation I did not really understand before this class. All in all I feel my essay is a stand alone, meaning that I feel no one else could compose an essay exactly like mine. I feel this way due to knowledge and experience that I have gained from my time spent with the weights.

So far, this essay has been one of my favorite essays that I have composed since the start of my essay composing. Having a topic to classify that you are very knowledgable about is entertaining since you can go very in-depth about your classifications. Also this essay has been fun to compose due to me trying to add in funny phrases or sarcastic remarks that you would hear from people who workout in a gym. This process by far has been the most entertaining since I like having fun, flowing, and amusing essays to capture the reader's attention and put a smile across their face.

The most demanding is the usage of the ten final exam terms. The reason I believe that this is more demanding than the others is because I am not used to looking for certain types of grammar in the sentences while I am typing so it is just something new and different to learn to get used to for awhile. Grammar isn't always my strong point so sometimes I struggle with finding certain things. In my classification essay, I am classifying the different types of parents in today's society.

I believe this essay is pretty fun and it's nice to be able to choose a topic to write about instead of being told what to write about because then it is easier to enjoy what you're composing and figure out what's the easiest topic for you to write based on knowledge. I chose to go with the four groups of classification in my essay including, Ho Hum, Helicopter, Harness, and Hula Hoop. I feel that during this essay it has been pretty easy for me because of the knowledge of the topic and I have expanded my creativity on words I use. I thought it would be hard at first to try and be able to type no less than five pages but once I got going and started typing a bit each night I realized it was not so bad and now all I have left to do are add my ten final exam terms in and just to get more creative and descriptive with certain words in my essay.

I am enjoying Composition 101 so far, as well. I am glad I chose to take this in high school because I really appreciate the work you put in to help us become better at composing essays. I feel I am already more knowledgable on certain points of writing than I was before. So, thank you!

6corcoranThe most demanding part for me when it comes to aspects of the classification essay I would have to say I struggle mostly with comfortably making it to 5 pages without the information becoming stale and seemingly rehashed throughout the paragraphs. I am slowly constructing it in a way where I confidently feel as though it is all fresh and adding something new to the classification each sentence although it is forcing me to really take a step back during the writing process and look at what I have written, and how I can enhance upon it. So sometimes when I feel myself getting into the creative writing groove I need to slow down and make sure the information is flowing well and cohesive with the surrounding information. I feel like I am being very creative during this particular essay. Since no research is required I can completely focus on crafting my sentences in attractive ways. I'm certainly confident in my classification because I would like to think my knowledge on film is rather extensive so i have no anxiety about my ability to correctly categorize and give in depth explanation for said class. I have always been proud of my writing, I have been told multiple times and I would like to agree that I have a distinct writing voice. I try to use words that engage people's minds and make words in a sentence flow beautifully, I try not to overdo it where my writing comes off as pretentious or showy, but I respect my audience as intelligent beings who can use context clues and perhaps have an already extensive vocabulary. I am very happy about the direction my essay is heading in, given the time we have I know I will be able to create a finely polished final draft and add in all the other requirements seamlessly so they don’t feel odd or forced in the composition.

The most demanding and difficult part of the classification essay would be using creative words. The classmates that have critiqued my essay have pointed out that I use the same words on repetition. I used “most” “many” and “generally” too many times throughout the paper. I had used those three words 6 times in one paragraph. After going through the essay and realizing my mistakes I went to each overused word and changed it for a synonym that would help differentiate my essay better. I have also not had an idea for a more intriguing title compared to the one I am currently using. Creating five pages was not hard for me, because I enjoy writing about one of my favorite activities. Using the ten final exam terms was a decent challenge for me. I have not used very good punctuation in my past English classes. Using a colon in my writing took some thinking of how to place it correctly and not make it seemed forced into the essay. Categorizing different sentences took some thinking also because I have not had to categorize my own self-written sentences before.

I think in my essay I am being creative using the different classifications to categorizes weightlifters. I used a category called “The Bro” to classify the people in the gym that do their lifts in an odd way. Creating my essay has been fun, I enjoy writing about creative topics. It is nice to put down my thoughts about weightlifters onto paper. I like sharing them with others who are curious about the gym, or the people that share my thoughts on the majority of weightlifters. My essay expresses my own thoughts, but the categories I use are fairly generic and could be written about by another experienced weightlifter. I use more of my opinion on some of my categories and others I write about the basic type of person in that category.

In the process of composing my Classification essay, the most difficult aspect has been trying to stay away from redundancy. For me it is very easy to drift off while writing and lose focus. When this happens my vocabulary shrinks down and becomes boring and trite. That is the reason that using 10 vocabulary words is difficult for me. Vocabulary, especially ones from the book that are new to me, is something that does not come easy to me and takes some work for me to comprehend. Along with the vocabulary, the page length requirement of five pages is a challenge because again with that I tend to feel that I am repeating myself. The key I think is for myself to partition off each paragraph to begin with so that each is very distinct and not over the same subject. Then, after all the paragraphs are written, I should go back and blend them together so they are not so choppy.

Creativity is something that I feel I have a good grasp on but just have a hard time putting it onto paper. The comparison for my essay is between dogs and parenting so with that I am attempting to put as many comparisons to dogs as possible. The problem is that there is a fine line between not having enough comparisons and analogies or the counter and have an excess and make it cheesy and difficult to follow.

My essay seems to be developing to be more unique and individualistic but it still is largely generic. Different phrasing of sentences and and greater variation of words are what will truly make it mine. I really am enjoying this essay so far because you get to be an expert in the topic we pick. The fun part is that we can add our own remarks to it and create humor and sarcasm for example.

The most demanding part of this essay, in my opinion, would be including the ten final exam terms and sentence variation. It is difficult for me to make sure I have all the terms because when I get a burst of inspiration to write, it is hard to stop and check if I have any terms, which I usually don’t because I just can not find the place to put them. Even when I do use them, I am not entirely sure that I am using them correctly. Sentence variation is even more difficult because I either start my sentences with “they” or the name of the group I am classifying. I have trouble with thinking of other words to start my sentences. I need to work on jazzing up my sentences so it is interesting for the reader right when they start reading it.

Though I am having trouble with adding all of this in my essay, it has helped me expand my mind and get really creative. My essay is about classifying people by the clothes they wear so there is definitely plenty of room for creativity with this type of topic. Composing this essay has been fun because, at first I was not sure how well my classifications would work, but so far it’s been going really well. I think since I look so deeply into the outfits people wear, this essay really does suit me. This essay is not used to make fun of the clothes people wear but rather understand why they wear the outfits they do and what it says about their personality. I think I am doing a good job at making this essay intriguing and possibly even helping people to understand the kids they might find strange or just do not understand.

For my Classification essay, I have decided to classify fans at sporting events. I love attending sporting events because of the roller coaster of emotion they can put you through if you allow yourself to get lost in the action. After attending many events, you tend to pick up on the things that you had not noticed before. The fans at the games are one of these things. How they act and how they respond to the game is somewhat fascinating, at least to me. The most difficult aspect of this essay for me is not getting the page requirements without the writing becoming stale, as it is for many others, but more so the requirement of using ten examples of terms that will be on the final exam. This is difficult for me because I decided to write my essay before going through and adding the vocabulary words and examples of terms. I got really into writing and I had a great train of thought going, so I did not want to stop and lose that train of thought by adding things that could be added earlier. However, this is proving to be more difficult than I had previously thought. If I had completed the requirements as I went, I would have been able to set up the examples and vocabulary terms. This makes it a little more work.

One of the more enjoyable aspects of this essay is that you get to write about something you are familiar with and that you do not have to put any research into. This means that you can have more fun with the essay and makes it a little more complete, as you are an expert on the topic. This essay is not written about a book you read that you may have found boring.

The most demanding part of this essay for me is the grammar part and changing up the sentence structure. Every aspect of grammar is my weakness and I have a hard time making things work and sound normal. I initially start all my sentences with a subject and it is closely followed by a verb. I need to deviate from that redundant structure if I want my writing to be taken to the next level and quit being words on a page allowing them to have a meaning that does not lose meaning with poor grammar and boring sentences. Sentences all around get me. I have a hard time with run on sentences my thoughts just trail together and if forget to start a new sentences and change the style of one. Since sentences are a major weakness getting the first 10 final exam terms are quite a challenge right now since a lot of them deal with sentence structure.
I enjoyed writing my essay, some people might find it boring because running is not something they are interested about. Hopefully my sense of enthusiasm and voice manages to retains the readers attention so they actually read it and not just gloss over it and take nothing in. Im passionate about running and I have a good ability to read and understand individuals that sometimes pulled me from my initial thought into a tangent that did not pertain to the subject at hand. My mindset classification system of F-them, F-this, F-you, and F-that was interesting to construct. I need a way to get my messages across that was not blatantly obvious that I was referring to curse word and I think I managed to do that by also describing them as adjectives that started with and F. But I also managed to tie in the F-them... and so on pretty well I think.

I feel as though the most demanding requirements for the classification essay, are including the ten final exam terms. The reason I believe this is the hardest challenge for me is because I have a hard time being able to tell the difference in my sentences. Also in the past I have not been known for my grammar abilities. So this struggle is a past one as well as a current one. My ways of being creative in my essay is by using a lot of describing words to really bring my characters to life, I want the reader to feel as if they are almost at the Cameron Indoor Stadium experiencing the game themselves. I am also trying to not to repeat myself as much either as not to become redundant on my describing. I do not foresee myself using extended analogies in this point in time but if I feel the need to add it to my essay I will certainly do that. At the beginning I did not feel as though this essay would be fun at all, I had a difficult starting my thought process but as the days went one I actually felt excited to write about my different classes and being able to describe them. I enjoyed finding my own way to group the type of fans by their actions toward the game. But sad enough to say as I’m starting to finish my ending things of my essay I am once again finding it hard to wrap up my thoughts. I hope to find some creative way to end the essay without being dull. When I read my essay I truly feel as though no one could write this besides me. I have so much love for Duke basketball that I do believe that everyone can blatantly see that I wrote this essay.

My Classification essay is about how actors fit into different groups. The most challenging part of this essay was using the ten final exam terms because at first I was trying to write it into the essay but now I am just rewording my sentences that I previously wrote, which is much easier. Another hard part about the ten final exam terms was that they weren't things I was used to writing with, such as dashes. I am glad that we have to include these things in our papers because I feel like I better understand them now and will use them more often. But after that, the hardest part of the Classification essay was coming up with an idea that wasn't done before. It took me days until I came to this topic but I am glad I did.

I feel like my paper is very creative and has a lot of personality. I said that Newbie actors go through a metamorphosis and compared them to butterflies. That is one of my favorite parts because I labeled the stages and together they created the acronym D.E.A.D., which I believe has a lot of humor so people will enjoy it. I had a lot of fun writing this paper because it is a subject I am very learned in and I used a lot of voice in it. I think that it definitely stands out as my paper because of how I described the actors and the tone I used. I like to use as much humor as possible in my writing so that is what I did. I also think that the humor made it more relatable to people who aren't as schooled in theater and made it more interesting for them. I believe that most people will find it entertaining and can relate it to things other than theater.

The classification essay has not been incredibly demanding so far. The vocab words and ten final exam terms fit into my writing style fairly easily. The hardest part is writing five pages of solid content. I do not want my essay to be filled with fluff that does not actually add anything to my paper but length. I try to write so that every sentence has a purpose and helps to get my point across. I wish I had picked a subject that was easier to write a five page essay on. I am going to really have to dig to think of ideas in order to lengthen my paper. I will have to consider my subject and my knowledge of it more in the future.

I feel that I am being fairly creative but my subject limits my creativity slightly. My analogy is not extended but I think it is still a solid analogy, and I am proud of it. The writing process has been mostly fun, although slightly frustrating when I struggle to get a sentence phrased the way I want it. Sometimes it is difficult as a writer to get the words to come out the way you want them to. My essay sounds a little too formal right now, but that is how I tend to write. I noticed that I struggle with adding my own personality to my writing. I too used to writing research papers, which are supposed to formal and scientific instead of personal and persuasive. This paper is definitely challenging me to break out of my comfort zone by adding bits of myself to the essay. I really appreciate the extended deadline due to homecoming week. It gives me a chance to get a feel for writing the first big essay for this class. And homecoming can be a week of distractions and not much constructive writing.

There are many demanding requirement to this classification essay, but the by far hardest requirement for this essay is completing 5 pages. The first three pages of my essay were hard to write at some points because I feel like I am trying to drag it out. These last two pages I plan to write about my last classification and ending with a closing paragraph. Another difficult requirement of this essay is including the ten final exam terms. I am not very good with grammar so I don’t know if I am using the terms in the correct way in my essay. I also is struggling with telling the difference between my sentences. I am planning to finish my essay first and then go back through and try to find creative ways to use the ten terms. Overall, I hope my essay is flowing nice and doesn’t seem drawn out. I feel like this essay is more creative than my past essays.
In my essay I am comparing different type of sport fans to barnyard animals. I think by writing about this I am able to find creative ways to compare people to animals. I believe that I am using descriptive words to describe my categories. In my past essays it has been difficult to try to be a creative writer, but with this essay I feel more confident and am having more fun with it. This essay is fun to write about because I have experienced all sorts of different types of people at sporting events. I am trying to make my essay be fun to read and make readers laugh. I am hoping that the readers can relate to the classifications that I am writing about. I believe that my essay does stand out as my own. I feel that my essay does have voice and is not too formal. I believe that my essay will truly entertain the readers.

I would say that the most difficult part by far is attempting to achieve the stipulated length of five pages. Or rather, trying to achieve that length with legitimate valid information, not fluff. Doing this is by no means an easy task given that some of my categories don't actually possess as much depth as would have liked them to. Because of this, i was forced to create content around other parts of the category in order to sort of “round off” the character.

I would also say that being forced to add certain words regardless of whether or not they actually contribute to the quality of the essay is a bit difficult. It forces me, the writer, to alter the way things are written in order to effectively input these words in a logical manner.

From a creative standpoint, i think i’m taking something fairly standard and giving it a sort of freshness by classifying students in a way that differs from the norm. I feel the entirety of this essay is actually just a reflection on certain characteristics that i as a person possess. Because of this, it’s considerably easier to write about each class.

My essay certainly conveys a standpoint individual to that of my own. In other words, i don't believe that others possess the same thoughts that i do and therefor my essay suggests that it was written by me, and only me. The way i write is a bit different in comparison to others, at least based upon my reading and deciphering of others essays.

I did not employ the use of an analogy given that i think high school students are almost metaphorical in nature themselves. Each type of student directly represents something so symbolism isn't essential to getting the point across.

I feel that the classification essay is going fairly well for me. It’s not really that fun to me because I hate writing and typing both strongly. School is not fun in general so I don’t really enjoy any classes except for anatomy because it goes along with my future career and I am going to truly enjoy what I do in my life, but writing or anything involving an english major or working with Jack Talcott just won’t work out. I just lack the knowledge to come up with enough good writing for 5 complete pages. The length of the essay is definitely the hardest part because I feel that I am getting repetitive. I am being as creative as I can be with the help of my instructor ,but then again that doesn’t really help because he can’t write my whole essay therefore my essay isn’t very creative. I haven’t used a single analogy in my essay and I don’t plan on because I see no fit for one in my essay. Also there are two more things in addition to the length that make this essay fairly difficult for anyone. The first is the fact that you can’t you first person in your essay and that’s hard because I have a tendency to make comparisons to a situation in my essay to one of my own and that’s usually what makes my writing better. Another difficult thing to remember is that you cannot use conjunctions and that is hard because I use them all of the time and forget not to use them in the essay. This essay could not be mistaken for anyone else’s because I stand out because I am very repetitive and that’s not a good thing it’s just something I tend to do in all of my writings.

So far the most challenging aspects of the classification for me have been including vocabulary terms and coming up with a good topic. I spent the first few days just coming up with new ideas, developing them a bit, then promptly abandoning them. The three page rough draft deadline was nearing and I was still lacking a topic. I had expected that meeting the length criteria would be much more of a challenge than it turned out to be. Once I finally came up with my topic, the words quickly flowed. I am still working out a couple of my earlier paragraphs that need more development, but I’ve easily hit four pages at this point.

For this essay I have written most of my essay and now am adding in vocab terms. Each time I have attempted to work in vocabulary words they have not seemed to fit quite right; they have seemed forced. In the future I may try to familiarize myself with more of the vocabulary terms beforehand and use them as I go.

I am trying to be fairly creative with my work. I wrote an analogy comparing actors during the Pained and Drained to black bears preparing for hibernation. Black bears gain weight, drink three times as much water as usual, and build their nests. Food is an essential aspect of Hell Day (Pained) and actors drink much more water than a normal person to keep their voices alive. Actors also build “nests” of their personal items around the auditorium in hidden away corners and often near outlets. I think my essay does reflect myself well because I’ve had a couple people say I write as I speak.

I’ve been enjoying the composing process more than I expected. There is much more room for creativity in this essay than in other essays I’ve had to write in the past.

I think that the most challenging portion of this classification essay is using up all the five pages and making it flow evenly in each paragraph. Even though it is double spaced i am still having difficulties on adding more words and sentences to each paragraph. I have all the ideas and things i need to say already typed in my essay but those things don’t come close to filling the amount i need to accomplish the five page requirement. I am trying to elaborate on each classification more and more everytime i read it by adding more detail and re wording many of the sentences. I also am trying to expand my vocabulary in the essay. I am also going to struggle labeling ten final exam terms i think. Just searching through the essay right now i can already tell i will struggle finding them let alone labeling them.

I feel like i am using my creativity well and putting forth all of it that i have stored in my brain. I also think that my comparison from the cotton farm to a family was very creative and interesting compared to other people's classifications. I am trying to relate these analogies and classifications as much to how i have experienced them as possible to make it my own. I am having fun with it too because i can put my own input into the essay making it more enjoyable to read and compose. Having said that i feel that it is my own and essay could not have been written by anyone else. It is most relatable to my family considering i based the whole essay off of my family and their qualities. The qualities i explain in the essay are identical to how my family acts and what they have grown up into.

The most demanding requirement for the classification essay assignment, for me personally, is the identification and use of ten final assessment vocabulary terms. I think I may have used these terms subconsciously, but I am having the most troubles identifying them. Some of them are very easy to identify like the simple sentence and a colon(the colon easily located in the title). But the other types of complex/compound sentences are much more difficult to identify. Vocabulary words are not very challenging, personally, to include in my essay. I think there are many that are used frequently in our language, so incorporating them is not very difficult. Also getting to five pages should not be too difficult with any subject if there is passion in the writing. I am currently at around three and a half pages right now with only three body paragraphs. Once I compose my intro, conclusion, and another paragraph I should be well past the required five pages.
I think I am being very creative with my essay starting with my topic. My topic and analogies are very unique, categorizing Class AA school athletics with chess pieces. I am having a lot of fun with this topic because High School Athletics are something I am passionate about and comparing them to chess pieces is something that has never been done before. Despite knowing quite a bit about the South Dakota High School Activities Association and its various member schools I am still learning a lot through the composition of my essay, which is awesome! And even though I am familiar with the basics of chess I have acquired knowledge on that subject as well. I would say increasing my knowledge would be one of the most fun things that comes with this essay.

This essay in general was decently challenging, but the hardest part was including the ten final exam terms. In order to make sure that they were all there, I had to change some sentences and really play around with my sentence style. It also forced me to really analyze how I write in terms of structure. I realized that I tend to use a lot of the same kind of sentences, and I had to go in and rewrite a lot of my work. That was challenging because I really like how I tend to write, and it was difficult to let it go and change things. I also found that it was slightly difficult to use the vocabulary terms, not because I didn’t know the words, but because I didn’t really like them. I had to end up simply writing my essay and then going back and using the index of the vocab book to see if I had used any of the words, which was more work than it should have been.

I feel like I am being pretty creative. I used what I thought were fun words and terms. I had fun finding ways to inject my own humor into the essay as well. I didn’t use an analogy, at least that I can recall at the moment. Overall, writing this essay wasn’t an unpleasant experience. I believe that the essay stands out as mine. I don’t think just anyone could write this. I like to think that I spread my voice throughout the essay to make it mine. I put my humor in it, and I managed to make my mom laugh when she read some of it, so I know it sounds like me. This essay was also an idea that I really believe in, and I could talk about my topic extensively if anyone were willing to listen in real life.

Creating a total of at least five pages has been the most difficult of the requirements so far, as this causes me to drag out my paragraphes and possibly even use unnecessary redundancies or details into my paper (kind of like the ones found in here). I don’t like to put redundancies in my paper if I can help it, so it will cause me to take much longer on a paragraph or page as I try to bring more original ideas to the paper. Sometimes the vocabulary searching helps me develop new sentences whenever I find a word I want to use but doesn’t fit in a sentence that already exists. I feel as though I am being creative, as my paper is being told as a sort of briefing about what to expect when beginning work at the steakhouse that I work at. I also am being creative by putting as many vocabulary words into the paper as I can. This is actually another requirement that I have personally added which has made the paper a more difficult and tedious process as I look through the vocab book for appropriate words. I am not using any extending analogies, but rather just using descriptive language to detail my classes. My essay is my own, as I’ve added a ton of satire and humor into the essay, which is characteristic to my personality. Most people will add maybe a few lines worth of jokes, but almost every sentence in my essay has humor in it. As far as I know nobody else has nearly as many vocabulary words from the vocab book as I do, which is another distinguishing factor of my paper. I have actually enjoyed writing this paper very much as even with its many requirements, as Mr. Christianson has allowed for much creativity and flexibility in our styles. Well this should be about 300 words.

The most difficult task regarding the Classification Essay, is trying to use the ten final exam terms. I think that this is the hardest task because I am trying to write the whole essay, then go back and edit in the ten terms. Unfortunately, I have nearly finished the essay and I now realize that I should have used the terms so that I will not have to go back and try to re-edit my essay to place the terms within the essay.

I feel as though I am being relatively creative in my essay. I am classifying sports fans, more specifically fans of football, which allows me to have an excuse to sit around and watch football all day; technically, I am conducting research. I am also using the extended analogy of using bodies of land scattered throughout the ocean; including: Volcanoes, Isles, and Continents. Each of these bodies of lands represents a generalized group of fans. The Volcanoes are similar to those fans that go to the extreme in order to show their support of a team. They can be either productive or destructive, as in they can help create fans or destroy a potential fan. Next, the Isles are comparable to the fans of the visiting team. This is because there can be many that go seemingly unseen, while others are in small pockets located in the ocean that is the bleachers. Finally, the Continents refers to the large group of your “everyday” fans. They are usually fans of the home team and will wear a shirt or jersey or something similar to show their support. However, isles and continents may have volcanoes as well, this leads to the different combinations of fans that makes the football experience enjoyable. I feel as though I am having fun through this process since I am able to write about something that I find enjoyable. Finally, I believe that my essay is personalized to me. I believe that it contains phrases and some humor that I’d use in my everyday life.

I have faced several obstacles while writing my Classification essay, the first was attempting to find an extended analogy. I did not use an extended analogy because each analogy I thought of did not make sense in the entirety of the essay. If I can find an analogy that makes complete sense, I may incorporate it into my Classification essay, but finding one is doubtful. In searching for the perfect extended analogy, I learned that my essay is not designed for an analogy. My Classification essay is a simple concept, but a challenging topic to write about. Although I am nearly done with my Classification essay, I continue to struggle with the same things. I find it extremely challenging to structure each sentence so it sounds like I wrote it. I am trying to make each sentence more creative than the last, and I am attempting to create a lot of diversity in my essay. I feel like I am being creative since I am truly think about each sentence and try to make it a complete thought. Since I am fabricating each sentence to sound as if I wrote it, I believe that it truly sounds like me. This essay would be extremely taxing for anyone else to replicate. Anyone would be able to write on the topic; however, no one can structure every sentence and have the creativity of me. So far, I have not incorporated my final exam terms. I plan to search for the dependent clauses, independent clauses, compound sentence, compound complex sentence and simple sentence when I complete my essay. I have incorporated the colon, dashes, semi colon, hyphen and the vocab words into my essay. I have found a niche for writing essays, and this is the only homework I look forward to doing when I get home at night. I have not only worked on my own essay, but I have also read and suggested edits for friends and classmates. I truly have found a passion for english, and this is one subject I never thought I would enjoy.

The most demanding requirements for the Classification essay are fitting in the ten final exam terms along with the five pages. I am sure that the terms are all in my essay somewhere but the difficulty is understanding them, as well as finding them after you grasp the concept. The writing of the five pages is not THAT hard, however, it seems like a daunting task. The worst part is definitely sitting in front of the computer, knowing that you have a task that must be accomplished. I already have my fourth page almost filled, so I am just going to have to go back through and add some length by adding on to my paragraphs where I classify the teachers. I might put some different stories in too.
My classifications themselves are creative, however, I have just been writing what has come off the top of my head so far. To make my essay better I need to go back through and evaluate some of my decisions. I have been using some analogies, like when I say that the Crazy teacher is one who stands out in the hall yelling Spanish words at kids. I have been having fun discussing with other people about their topics and seeing how they are classifying theirs; not so much doing my essay, simply because I have not wholeheartedly dived into my topic quite yet. Once I start going back through it, I am sure that it will become more fun and entertain me more. Hopefully I have been adding on some unique points along the way to make my essay sound more like me. I think it adds a little something when I talk about the personal teachers that I have had when describing the types of teachers throughout the school system.

This essay has pushed me to advance my writing. I have had some successes, but also some challenges. My most demanding requirement and challenge would be trying to include enough details to accomplish five pages and also using a variety of different words. Five pages of this essay is a challenge because I have written what I think is everything I can think of but it is only four and one-fourth pages long. Although I haven’t really started including and placing the final exam terms, I think I can get it done but it will take some time and some more space. I have a tendency to use the same words over and over again, so I am trying to include some new words and also change sentences to make them sound correct but also getting away from the same old words and phrases I always use.

I think I am being partially creative, but I could definitely add more creativity to this. I have not included any analogies at this point, but since I am classifying the managers of a restaurant I may compare the managers to food or possibly bagels to do something different. Although this is challenge for me, I am having fun writing about the managers that I experience and teaching other people their tendencies. I really like giving the reader a different perspective on the managers and I hope by the end of the essay the reader will know what type of managers that restaurants have, and which type they would like to work with. I think my essay stands out as mine because I do include phrases that I would use and have my attitude towards the different types and how they make me feel. By the end of the essay I hope to add and accomplish all that I want to and to make the essay original and something I am proud of.

Incorporating ten final exam terms has been the most arduous task I have encountered so far composing this essay. Using new terms is always difficult, because I like to stick to my usual writing style. My writing tendencies are not always using different punctuation such as a semicolon. Another obstacle I need to overcome will be completing five pages in a timely fashion. These five pages also need to be full of new information; I can't just keep repeating the same old stuff over and over again. Being creative in writing is a struggle with me. I find it hard to sit down and just write. I need to have something fun to write about. This essay has been easier than most to write, because I actually have somewhat of an interest in my topic. My analogies are not very extended at all. Using the classes I am using is not the most creative thing to do, but I could not think of anything else in time to get the rough draft finished. Having fun while writing an essay is extremely difficult to accomplish. One way that I accomplish things is to set goals. I set a goal to finish so many pages or paragraphs in a set amount of time; this system usually gets the job done to finish things thoroughly and quickly. I also have fun in writing by including humor. Humor always passes the time, because I am smiling while writing the jokes. This essay does stand out as mine in a crowded field of classification essays. I do not think that there is another person writing on social media patterns in their essay, so it should definitely stand out. I also use my own humor in this essay. Nobody else can copy my humor unless it is one of my close friends; these friends are not writing about social media, so their essays can not be like mine.

The most demanding requirement so far in the composition of my classification essay has been accomplishing five or more pages. I have developed what I believe to be a strong classification system, but am currently struggling to elaborate to the appropriate length. In order to meet the length requirement, I may add another character, or elaborate on a hypothetical scenario and explain how the different types of soccer players would react. I have found it quite easy to only develop simple sentences, but need to eliminate the lack of complex sentences in my essay. I will need to change the structure and length of my sentences in order to add variation to my essay. This will increase the effectiveness of my system and essay. I have yet to include vocabulary words and final exam terms, and am waiting to do so until the length of my essay is extended.

My classification system which compares different types of soccer players to various characters in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is both creative and effective in my opinion. I have enjoyed composing this essay for the most part, but find myself frustrated a majority of the time. It is enjoyable to write about soccer and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ characters, as I love both the sport and Disney movies. This is fun because I have loved both of these things for the majority of my life. So far, I believe this essay stands out as mine and could not have been composed by anyone else, but I can definitely add more of my own personality to make the classification system more effective. When I do this, it will develop extended meaning and connect with the reader on a deeper level. I hope that when my essay is read, it is able to affect the reader in a positive way.

I believe that making the essay 5 pages has been the most demanding part of the Classification essay so far. It has been difficult to come up with enough examples and a long enough explanation for each classification to fill 5 pages. I am trying to write enough without restating myself and without letting the essay to become to wordy. I also have struggled to use the 10 vocab words in my essay, because it is hard to find a way to put them in my essay without making the word sound out of place. The classification essay has been a difficult but fun essay to write.

I am trying to be very creative in my writing and I am trying to put my own voice in my essay. I have compared each of my classifications to two things. I have compared the different classifications to houses built on different substances, such as a house built on rock or a house built on sand. I have also compared the classifications to different siblings from television shows and movies. I did this because my classification essay is about sibling relationships and I thought I would be helpful to give examples of the relationships that more people would understand. I have enjoyed writing the classification essay, even though it has been difficult. I have enjoyed writing the essay because I am writing from personal experience and I am writing about what I know. It has been fun because I have been running situations through my head on how one of my siblings would react to a situation and using that information to write my essay. It has been fun to write about my family and write about what I have learned from the experience of having a large family. I am really enjoying writing the classification essay and hope that I enjoy the other essay as much as I have liked this one. It has been a great pleasure to write about what my life has taught me.

1: Everything about this essay is demanding. I’m struggling a lot with finding things to write about for five pages because I don’t want to repeat myself and finding words to use other than they/them/their/this is becoming difficult. I’m also having problems with the vocabulary words and the term Tuesday labeling because i don’t fully understand a lot of grammar so it makes it very difficult to know if/when they’re being used and if it’s being used properly. Another concern is being repetitive. I don’t want my essay to be boring but i don’t know how to add variation to make sure that it’s interesting and flows well. I haven’t yet finished my conclusion paragraph but once I do I think i’ll find it easier to go back and add details, to flesh out the writing more thoroughly. I also need to write a scenario and how to identify one’s own category. I’m concerned that my sentences will be violating basic grammar rules or i’ll make a huge glaring mistake and not notice it.

2: I don’t know if my essay is easily distinguishable as my writing, but I do think it’s creative. I’m writing an essay about essays, that level of meta is creative in itself. I’m also using a lot of relations to real-life situations that add humor and something relatable to my writing. Writing essays is hard for me because i struggle with staying on topic and finishing my ideas completely, which is humorous because i’m basically writing an essay about myself struggling to write an essay. I want to write something that’s witty but also logical and done well and it’s hard to find the line that balances humor with being concise. I don’t want to end up on a tangent that distracts from the entire essay. Hopefully the next week or so will be useful in helping me finish my thoughts and adding transitions and other creative aspects to my writing.

This classification essay has proved to be a challenge right from the start. I don’t consider myself to be a very creative person, and I wanted an original idea; therefore it took me multiple days to come up with an idea that would extend to the full five pages of this assignment. The length is an issue for me because it’s difficult to avoid inflict boredom upon the reader. I truly think that the most daunting part has been redundancy throughout the pages. I sometimes catch myself saying almost the exact same thing back to back, so I have been going through and trying to take some unnecessary sentences out. The five vocab words have been easy to fit into my sentences and have also made my essay more interesting and sound more intelligent. The ten final exam terms have posed yet another obstacle for me, as I’m not very comfortable using them at this point. I am hopeful that in the near future this won’t be a problem at all. I occasionally struggle with writer’s block and become frustrated quickly. I believe it’s because I feel the need to write the final draft the first time, rather than just spilling my ideas on the paper. I’ve been working to write a rough draft with the intent of fixing my mistakes and overall improving the essay later. I have had some fun in composing this essay because I'm writing about my siblings, and I'd like to think that I'm an expert on that topic by now. This essay could stand out as mine if the reader is familiar with my family, because the analogies relate to us in some ways (not all). If the reader doesn’t know my brother or sister than they would not know it’s mine. No, my sister is not as rebellious as the category I have placed her in, but my brother and I have predicted that she will be. I have worked on creativity with some exceptions to my categories. That is where I’m currently working, and I have about a page and a half to go before I make final corrections.

From the beginning the most demanding requirement of the Classification essay would have to be accomplishing more than five pages. This does not seem that difficult at the beginning, but as you continue to compose the essay it feels as I am always worried I will not be able to reach the page count minimum. I try to be extremely detailed as I write to help the reader truly agree with, and understand what I am talking about, and at the same time making it longer. However, I am concerned that I am rambling just to meet the requirements. When looking back at my paragraphs I want them to be organized and make sense, not just random idea, after random idea, just to get to five pages.
Although I am do not enjoy the idea of sitting down and composing an essay for hours, I do enjoy my topic. I am classifying the types of people you see in gym class and find it quite humorous and entertaining. As I first was reading about the classification essay, learning what I will have to do, I thought this will be extremely painful and not fun at all. As I continue to work on the essay I came to realize it is much less painful then I thought it would have been.
Writing this essay I am doing my best to be as creative as I can, trying to make it sound like mine. Sometimes it is hard to continue the creativity, but my goal is to be as descriptive as I can, making readers visualize it and agree that gym class was really like that after all. Along the way I put in different analogies and metaphors to spice it up. To me this essay will stand out as mine when it is all finished and cleaned up.

On my Classification essay, I only have the bare minimum three pages. The biggest challenge I have faced so far is writing and explaining my reasoning for the names. For some of my categories, I only have a few firm reasons why they are named that, along with some characteristics. Because of this, I have had to do some reflecting of my experiences with some people to extract some more characteristics. With each classification, I want to make sure I have enough supporting evidence for why I have called them this and what they are like. I would rather be too thorough and have to delete some to stay around the five page range than be struggling the day before it is due because I still only have four pages. I have gotten through three of my five classifications, so I think I will not have to worry about length being an issue.

With vocabulary words, it is somewhat of a challenge because I am just trying to work in words; instead of me finding words that fit my context, I end up having to change the context of my sentence to better accommodate a vocab word. Thankfully, we only need five, so once I get the five I can be done with those.

My efforts at creativity are being thwarted by the requirements (strains) of this essay. I am planning to create a whole rough draft, and then reexamine the whole thing to see where I can find places to add creativity, analogies, some sarcasm (I am quite sarcastic), and some sentence structure from the Art of Styling Sentences. Although there are drawbacks, I still enjoy writing this essay and cannot wait to share it with my coworkers once I have finished. It will be interesting to see their feedback and if they agree with what I have written.

There is not a particular requirement on the classification essay that is difficult to achieve. Vocabulary words are easily inserted after writing and many of the final exam terms, with the exception of dashes, were already in my paper. I do have trouble with dashes in writing as I they never feel natural in my writing. To begin with, I assumed that it would be difficult to compose five pages on the topic; but, I have gone into composition mode and am currently sitting on 7 pages. This surplus was facilitated by Mr. Christensen as he enabled me to write on a topic that truly interests me. The hardest part is linking all of my paragraphs and excerpts into a smooth and coherent essay.
I am being incredibly creative in my essay as a compare Washington DC to a neighborhood. At Mr. Christensen’s discresson, I am composing my whole comparison as an extended metaphor with an explanation of the real world items that correspond to the extremely complicated metaphor. I truly am having a good time as I write this. Writing in fervorous spurts, I put down on the page what brilliant ideas are coming to my mind before they are replaced by others. This essay truly stands out as my own; the style and topic are unique undoubtedly. I attempted to use slightly darker humour in the metaphor and gave all of the characters clever yet relevant names. The topic of politics is dense and understood fully by few. Having an above normal understanding and interest in politics, I am able to communicate the issues while trying to leave minimal personal bias. Upon review, my political bias is mildly apparent but is not distracting from the paper. This essay has challenged me in a unique way and I am enjoying attempting to complete it.

So far, the most demanding requirement for the classification essay is accomplishing 5+ pages. The rest of the aspects have not been that difficult besides thinking of an initial topic. I have been able to use the final exam terms and vocabulary words pretty easily, it has just been difficult to write 5 page because I spend a lot of time perfecting what I have already written instead of continuing on. I need to add more content and continue my classifications before I perfect everything else, and that is difficult for me to do because I always want my current content to be perfect. Another difficult aspect of this essay is trying not to repeat descriptions and analogies, but still make your point about what the classification is about.

I think my creativity is showing well in this essay. I came up with an idea that I have not seen anyone else use. I have also used some extended analogies throughout my writing to add personality and creativity. My essay stands out as my own, because I am using variations in sentence structure and creative words to describe everything. I am trying to write very vividly and make the reader picture what I am describing. Throughout my essay, I am trying to not repeat words or descriptions more than once. This essay has been very fun to compose because you have to use your own ideas and create something from your own creativity. I have ended up liking my topic because it is relatable to everyone, but I am writing it in a way that not everyone thinks about. I like this style of essay because it is analytical while still being fun to compose. So far this has been a very enjoyable assignment and I hope my finished essay will be very well written.

It has been a little difficult for me when writing this essay. I had an idea about my topic but could not think of three ways to categorize them. I eventually figured that out with some help but was stuck for the next three days. I had my thesis statement but could not figure out how to go from there. I then thought of the left and right brain and how they have an effect on personalities and I started to write. I have about four pages but I am stuck again. I have three vocab words and working on placing the other two required words in my essay. I am confused on how we should label what our independent clause and gerunds are, but I guess that is just me. I feel that Mr. C is making us write with these requirements to compose and learn at the same time. To apply what we are learning to what we are creating.

I feel like I am being creative in choosing the arts because I do not just focus on a specific part of the arts but it as a whole. I use examples of paintings, artists, ballet, and ballerinas. I have three types of viewers in the art world: the Dastardly, the Dweeby, and the Devoted. Each has a unique vision of how they see art and what it means to them. I have had a lot of fun with this essay because I am writing about something I love, the arts! But I also get to explain the type of viewers that I have encountered in my time. I get to explain pieces of art and how one would view it. This essay definitely stands out as mine because I am an artsy person who does not like it when people over or under look an artist's piece.

While writing this essay, I have found it surprisingly easy to write about my topic. I suppose it is because my topic, Settlers of Catan, is something I am an expert on. I recall one night playing five games in a row. We started playing at 7 P.M. and did not stop until 2 A.M. However, if I had to say one of the requirements is difficult, it is finding correct spots to properly use our vocab words from our book. This is due to the unusual nature of these words. These words are not common and are not used in our everyday life.

I feel I am being very creative in my essay. I believe my topic is very much outside of the box and it is very rare to be writing about a board game, especially in this technology driven world. No extended analogies have come through my head onto my page of my essay, partly because I do not commonly use them and also I was never really thinking about using them in my writing. To my pleasant surprise I have found writing my essay fun. When writing about a topic I feel I am an expert on, l take great pride in my writing. Writing is much easier and relaxing when you have extended knowledge on a topic.

One thing I could try work better at is having my essay stand out as my own. While I believe I am one of only a few in my grade that could write about Catan, I can see how I have not yet made it my own yet. While reading my essay, I found that anyone with expert knowledge of Catan could be able to construct my essay. To fix this, I might try writing about specific situations I have experienced while playing the game.

In the Classification essay, some of the most demanding requirements are finding vocab words that agree with my sentences. Having to understand what the words mean, along with how to use them in a sentence, can be overwhelming. Also, the organization of paragraphs has been a little confusing so far, in addition to knowing where to include certain information. In the paragraph about apples, I include subdivisions and different types of apples that fit in the category. I’ve thought about trying to create separate paragraphs for each of these to help the flow. When talking about the Pineapples, I need to think of more information to include that would help describe this group of fruit. This will also add length, which I need to achieve (2 more pages). To help the lengthening process, adding more descriptive words would be beneficial, as some of the writing so far seems bland. I need to review the final exam terms, such as dashes or semicolons, and find a way to include them in my essay.
So far, I have enjoyed writing about my topic, since money is so valued in our society, and the way different people use it is interesting to reflect on. However, my creativity has seemed limited lately. I did alright trying to get the classification groups, but other than that I think creativity needs to improve. In addition, it would benefit my essay to explain analogies more thoroughly to leave the reader less confused (or more enlightened) about what they are reading. I may try to work on directing the essay more towards high schoolers/classmates as the rubric says to. In attempt to use a nostalgic effect, at the beginning of my essay I brought up memories most kids experienced in their youth using Christmas and birthdays. Currently, I believe the essay I have written does reflect me fairly well, but it would aide my writing overall to add some more personality or humor, which also helps keeps the reader interested.

There are many complications I have found within writing this essay, though a few stand out enough to be mentioned. For example, the length of this essay, five pages, is quite difficult for me to reach. I tend to polish as I go, so that isn’t entirely difficult for me, though writing in massive quantities is often harder than it seems. The second of three complications would clearly be finding and explaining topics. I used alliteration with the letter L and I found some pretty fantastic words that define what I classify--YouTube--though I find it very difficult to expand on certain types. It is not that I am undereducated with YouTube, it’s that there aren’t a lot of words I can think of that sum up someone who is new to YouTube, or a liar on it. Though, such is the way of essays, creating topics that wouldn’t likely have a thought to ponder upon in it’s potential. With help, I will overcome. The last complication I have found would be not using first person throughout. With this rule, I cannot explain a single story I have had, or cannot express opinion. Though this is the way essays are supposed to be, I find it harder and harder to censor myself as I go along.

I like to believe that what I am writing is considered my own, and the words I type are such as a painting--unique and interesting to most. If I have one objective with my words, it is that I wish to make a change in someone’s day. I wish truthfully to allow them to need to stop and think about something, or pause their breath in shock, or squint their eyes in interest, or really anything. Though, maybe my essay turns out to be awfully written, and uninteresting at best. Even if this is the truth, what I write is what I love, and I will continue to write with the passion I have that drives me forward in my life.

The most challenging part of this Classification essay is getting five or more pages. This has always been a struggle for me, since I find myself not being as descriptive as I could be. I am comparing the ways people react to a disaster or a tragedy and classifying them into these four categories; the Helpers, the Teachers, the Preventers, and the Watchers. I feel as if my essay could be finished as it is now but I am only halfway through my fourth page. The next week I will be working hard to make my essay as descriptive and try to add as many final exam requirements as possible. As well as adding more to my essay, I would like to be able to change up my sentence structures. I tend to start my sentences with the subject then proceed with the verb. It would add a layer of interest if I can change up some of my sentence structures by adding more gerunds as well as changing my sentence structures. I think it has been relatively easy to include vocabulary words, as there are so many to choose from.

I am trying my hardest to make this essay sound as much like me as possible. I would like to think of this essay as myself talking about something I am passionate about and that I believe in. Although, I do believe that after adding the different sentence structures this essay will become even more like myself. So far the writing of this essay has been a little difficult, however, I have found it to be an interesting project. I love to hear and read about what the others are writing about. I find it so interesting to see how people are able to be so creative within their own essays.

As I have been writing my classification essay, some of the most demanding requirements include, finding vocab words that fit into my writing and also finding a way to be able to lengthen my essay to five pages. Some of the words from the vocab book are very hard to understand just by looking at their definitions, let alone trying to fit them into my essay. I am trying to use words that are fitting to my work and that enhance readers appeal to my writing. I only have four categories for my Christmas classification system, which include The Greedy, The Giver, The Godly, and The Grinch. Right now I am only on the fourth page digging into my fourth and final category (The Grinch), which makes my essay seem not as long as it needs to be. By using better words to elaborate more, it could possibly help my problem with being able to lengthen my essay. I am also struggling with getting the ten required end of the year terms into my essay. I am trying to focus on getting my essay to five pages and not really paying attention to this important detail. Looking over these terms, such as semicolons, or dashes could really help me understand them better and help make easier to put into my writing. I like my work to be perfection, so therefore that is why most of these challenges are coming upon me.

While writing my essay, I feel as if my creativity is really coming to me. This project is allowing me to use my creative thoughts and put it into a piece of writing I am excited about. I can go outside of the box to think of super cool ideas; there are not many rules on what we can and can't write about. As I am writing, I can definitely tell that this piece of work is mine. It shows my writing style, along with some of my humor as well. I am trying to use very descriptive details so that the reader can make a picture in their mind of what I am writing about. As I continue to finish writing my essay, I hope that more fantastic ideas keep popping into my head and I can make my final piece of work as great as I planned it to be!

I think the most demanding requirements for this Classification essay is accomplishing the five pages. I believe that because I am not the best with expanding my paragraphs. I am classifying types of friends and I thought that would be enough for me to make it to five pages. I am now struggling finishing off the last page and a half. To help me get more pages I added another classification of friends. Another thing I am struggling with is including the ten final exam terms. I feel like that is very demanding for me because I am not the best with grammar. Also, it is a little tough for me to put in the vocab words that I am not used to using in my daily life. Knowing how to put the words into my sentences and making them work can be hard but I have been able to get a few in there. Like I said before I am classifying types of friends with five groups, the Donator, the Drifter, the Do-er, the Doof, the Decent, and the Daring. I believe I could be a little more creative with my writing. Most of the time I am not the best on my creativity but I am trying my best to be. I don’t think I have used any analogies in my essay yet because I do not usually use them and when I am writing analogies don’t come to my head. During my composition process I am having somewhat of a fun time classifying the types of friends and how they react to some situations differently. If someone read my essay I believe they would be able to tell I composed it and no one else. Although, to make it more of my own I should add some things only I would say.

I thought that the most demanding part of the essay was including the ten final exam terms. It wasn’t as difficult to include some of the items like semicolons and colons, but it was hard to identify some of the sentence structures like the compound-complex sentences. They’re not hard to label once you find them, but it’s hard to identify which sentences have a specific sentence structure. It’s even more difficult to fabricate a sentence that has a specific structure because you need to meet one of the final exam criteria.
I think that I am being pretty creative with the classification essay. I’m writing about something that I am very familiar with, and I am separating them into different groups, almost like a hierarchy. The hierarchy starts with the less mature band members on the bottom, like the Children, and works it’s way up through the Try-Hards, the Achievers, and the most mature and powerful, the Royalty. I am having a lot of fun writing this essay because it’s fun to write about something that you know so much about. I’m learning more and more about my topic the more that I think about it. I don’t usually think about being in band in depth, so it’s interesting to see how much I actually know about it once I start thinking about it. I don’t think that anyone else could have written my essay for a variety of reasons. One of the first reasons is because I give insight to the good and bad things that are involved with being in band. Most people try to endorse band in order to get people to join, but just like any activity, band has it’s ups and downs, but it always ends with the good. I also separate the different personalities into groups that are very realistic for those that are in band, and I tell the audience what each group is like in depth, including actions and personalities. Nobody else would be able to write my essay either because it has a lot of my own personal touches to it, like snippets of things that I have experienced while in band. I mention things like getting goose bumps while playing a beautiful piece of music, or being told how to get better by a staff member, and those are things that have happened to me personally.

I feel like the most demanding requirements for the classification essay, in my opinion, is identifying the ten final exam terms. I find this to be difficult because although I'm sure I have composed them I am having a hard time identifying them. Some of them are easy to compose and identify like: the semicolon, hyphen, or colon. However I find it difficult to identify the types of sentences, mostly because I don't understand the differences in the types of sentences themselves. Another requirement that is difficult for me is the vocabulary. Vocabulary has never been a strong-suite for me which explains why I am finding difficulty in including them into my essay. Lots of classmates have complained about how they are finding difficulty in completing the 5 pages, however I’m not finding that to be one of my biggest struggles. When I started writing the essay I did think it was going to be hard to compose 5 pages, however once I started writing and really trying to elaborate on each classification the ideas kept flowing and so did the number of pages. In my essay, I feel I have been creative by using analogies. I am classifying parenting styles to that of a river, where the water are the children and the Rock, Dam, and Stick are the different types of parenting styles. I don't think this essay could be mistaken for anyone else's essay but my own; I believe this essay sounds like I do. Here and there I add in a little sense of humor and I think someone could see myself in those sentences. At first when we got this assignment I did not think it would be fun at all and it would entail a lot of work, but I'm finding out that is not the case. I am thoroughly enjoying writing this essay because it does not entail research and especially because I can relate to my essay.

To me, the most demanding requirement of this essay is making sure to add in the five vocab words from our books. This is the most difficult for me because of 10 final exam terms, I naturally used about eight of them without thinking. Length seemed a little challenging at first; however, my essay currently sits at about three and a half pages long without even having two paragraphs so it should not be to hard to achieve five pages. Vocab words do however pose a challenge to include. Because they are often not everyday words, it requires me to be more conscientious when adding them. Also, words just cannot be forced into the sentences, you need to make sure that if flows smoothly with the sentence which does not always happen if you have to think to add them.
I feel my essay is not overly unique due to it classifying restaurant workers and animals. That being said, I am confident my essay can still bring a sense of freshness to classifying workers. Also, animals may not be the most unique comparison in the world, but I would rather have a good essay comparing animals then a bad essay classifying workers as some outlandish objects. As of right now, my essay contains some but not very deep analogies with the workers and the animals. Ultimately, I do plan to entertaining the idea of treating the store as if it is the animal kingdom and not just a store with animals roaming it. One of the analogies I do enjoy classifies Lions as management and Zebras as mediocre. The analogies extends into how a Lion will kill straggling zebras--to the restaurant management may get after employees who fall behind and potentially fire them. Writing this essay has been interesting, because, being a worker at a restaurant, I have co-workers who all fit the categories; therefore, I am starting to look at my co-workers through my classifications in my essay. In the end, my essay may not seem overly unique so someone could possibly come up with the same ideas as mine; however, I feel my essay has a distinct voice of mine.

One of the challenges I have faced is using vocabulary words in my essay. I have briefly thought about it, but I haven't gone through my essay yet to try and figure out where one of the vocabulary words could fit better. It was relatively easy for me to reach 5 pages because I had 4 different classifications and could write close to a page on most of them, leaving the introduction and conclusion to fill up the rest. Personally, I struggled with not using contractions because it is such a common thing that we use in our language that it is hard to break that habit. After I wrote most of my essay, I had to go back and find all of my contractions and fix them which I wish I could've avoided by doing it right in the first place.

I think my classification essay is pretty unique and creative. I am writing about the different members that make up a female friend group. I began to get nervous while writing my essay because I'm being brutally honest, which may be difficult for people to read. This essay was easy for me to write because I didn't have to do any research, I could just write about something I knew about. The process of writing the essay was a lot easier for me because I dread having to make a rubric and organizing all of my information, I just like to write. I feel as though the best writing is sometimes unplanned, meaning that when people write to write it makes it sets the tone as easy going and personal versus if they are stressed out about it and trying to plan out every word. I made it personal/custom by adding some phrases that people may know which could help make my point in some cases. I enjoyed writing this essay, it was something different and it allowed you to talk about something you are passionate about.

Throughout this project I have run into a few demanding or more difficult requirements. One aspect that was demanding for me was the incorporation of the final ten exam items. This had been difficult for me because it forces me to change up my writing style, and limits my creative writing. However it allows me to write with different styles and in some cases has proven to flow better. Another requirement that has been difficult to me was adding the five vocabulary words into my essay. This has been difficult because I do not normally use the words that are found in my vocabulary book in my normal day vocabulary. So when I read through the paper it seems not completely mine. Another thing that I thought was difficult was creating sentences that varied in sentence structure. I felt as if I was writing the start a sentence over and over again. But after writing most of it, I went back through and was able to vary structure and clean it up very well, which in the end helped with the flow of my sentences.

I think I am being creative because I am classifying the different ways of studying. The four catagories are the Deciever, the Dumb, the Dilligent, and the Distracted. This project so far has been very enjoyable other than minor cases of writer's block throughout. I enjoy writing about this as I am taking somewhat of a humorous approach to this topic. I have not completely finished writing my paper. I am on page four and still have a lot to add, including my conclusion paragraph. This essay stands out as mine as I am the only one taking this approach, in another class a student is doing a similar classification. He is comparing studying methods to drugs.

For my Classification Essay, I am classifying different types of coaches. For me, I am with coaches each and every day. Whether it is at sports practice or at home, I am always around coaches. This topic was an easy choice for me and I believe that I know a lot about coaches. The most demanding requirement for me while writing my essay is accomplishing five pages. I am trying not to be redundant with what I am saying but I feel like my writing is becoming stale. I have a good classification topic but it has been hard for me to elaborate to get to five pages. I feel like I am dragging out my essay and it will be very hard for me to get to the five page requirement. My essay needs to be detailed but not repetitive. I am trying to incorporate personal experiences with coaches and also add some variety to my sentences. I believe I am doing good with being creative at some points but at other times I feel like I am writing like a eighth grader. I am trying my best to be creative with my essay but I feel like my writing is not exciting at times. I am trying to add more spice to my essay so it make it better to read. As of now I have not used many extended analogies but to make my essay excellent, I need to think of some more analogies to put in my essay. Writing and typing for me has never been enjoyable because I struggle with focusing on just writing and it is hard for me to use grammar and punctuation. Even though I have a good topic, this essay has not been very fun for me. I feel at the end of my essay, it will stand out as mine. I will put personal experiences and creativeness in my essay to make it the best it can be. At the end of this essay, my essay will have five pages and it will be a fun read for other people.

The most demanding requirement for this Classification essay for me is using Times New Roman 12-point font… just kidding, that is actually the easiest requirement; it is pretty effortless. In my opinion, having to construct my sentences in unusual ways is the most demanding task. Switching up the subject, verb, and other parts (such as gerunds and prepositional phrases) of a sentence is a tricky thing to do when first learning how to do it, but I guess that’s how it is with anything you learn to do. It is also difficult to use different punctuation that I am not used to using such as dashes, colons, and semicolons. I think that if I am able to master this, I will be able to add more variety to my essays, and that will help them sound more persuasive. I also think that it is difficult to type your essay in such a way so that someone who knows nothing about what you are talking about, will understand what it is you are explaining at the end of your essay.
I think that the overall topic of my essay--fantasy football teams--and my introductory paragraph are very creative, but I think that the body of the essay could use more work. In my beginning paragraph, I began by explaining to the reader what exactly fantasy football is; I did this by relating fantasy football to a king and his army, which I thought to be a perfect analogy. Before deciding on a topic for this essay, I was not enjoying this project, but after I figured out what I wanted to write about, I began to enjoy thinking of ways to describe and explain different types of fantasy teams and managers. I think that for the most part, this essay does stand out as mine; I felt that I placed my humor and personality appropriately throughout the essay.

The most demanding part of the classification essay is reaching the five page limit without seeming over redundant and using the same material. It is hard to do so because I only have four categories. I am classifying positions at Hy Vee and there is only so much I describe about each position. I have to write about different jobs but they only really have a few responsibilities so I am going to have to stretch to reach the limit. After I reach the five pages it is going to be difficult to include ten final exam terms. I already have the five vocab works taken care of so I just have these issues to worry about. I am going to try to find more things I can talk about and start adding in the final exam terms.

I am trying to be creative with this essay by over exaggerating the work life of a Hy Vee employee. I try to make a minimal task seem very dramatic to make the essay a little funny. My analogy I think is very different because all of my classifications end in ‘’oss.”This has to be one of my favorite essays I have written because it really gives you freedom to be creative and dramatic about something that is personal to you. Writing about Hy Vee has been super fun for me because I get to kind of make fun of the employees. I think my essay is really going to be original because I know the Hy Vee life and its secrets pretty well. My analogy is original because the categories don’t really have anything to do with the job so I had to make some deep connections. My dramatic exaggeration of jobs at Hy Vee add some humor to the mix as well.

I believe the most challenging part of writing any essay is deciding what to write about. If you write about something you don’t care about it, it may not be up to the standards of something you are passionate about. Once I made a decision of the different classifications my essay is about I needed to consider what these type of people could be related to. My style of writing is very casual and I struggle with formal essays so this is my cup of tea. Due to situations I have dealt with and people I have encountered, I wanted my essay to be personal, while also being informative.

Trying to accurately place the vocab words are also a feat that I come across because I normally do not use those words in my day to day language and writing. When I add vocab words I want the sentence to still be able to flow and sound natural. Also, the length requirement is tough job for me. When I speak and write I feel I am very concise. Making this essay five pages without making it sound like I am trying to drag it out is a difficult job. I feel as if I have everything I want to say already included and I am only at about three and a half pages. I have learned even more about my topic as I research different opinions of well known authors. My Classification Essay is about how to deal with the different people you encounter when you go to church and I hope it does just that.

While composing my essay, the most demanding part has been incorporating vocab words. Even though I do enjoy using good, descriptive words in my essay, I find it difficult to use words that are given to me and ones that I would not normally use. However, I haven’t put too much effort into searching through our vocab words, so I believe if I put in the effort I will be able to accomplish the five word requirement. I also think that my essay could use some more descriptive words; my essay seems to use the same adjectives multiple times, so I hope to fix that.

I also hope to make my essay creative and intriguing to read. I haven’t used much for analogies, but I plan to add some to describe my classes in one of my last paragraphs. The creativity has been fairly difficult for me because my topic seems very simple. However, I have had fun composing this essay. Before this essay I’ve never really thought about classifying groups of people, but looking at all the different topics, it is very evident that there are distinct classes of people within a group. I mostly chose disc golfers as my topic because I’ve seen many examples of the different types of disc golfers, and thought it would be interesting to see if I could fit everyone into a few classes. I feel as though I was very successful in creating my classification system. This essay, in my mind, definitely stands out as my own. I say this because I have used my experiences while disc golfing, and the different stages of my skill level, to create the classes. I was able to really put a lot of detail into a couple of the classes because I have considered myself in those classes before. Overall, I think my essay is coming along well, but still needs some touching up.

So far the most difficult thing with my essay would be simply getting the finer details for the essay as I have the more broad and open ended idea it is just getting it all into the essay with the smaller details with it. It also doesn't help that my motivation is very small right now for the essay and still have another two paragraphs to write and two pages to fill. Using the vocab words are simple enough as I can look at my sentences and find a word that could replace an action word or one of the adjectives so it won't be as repetitive. Using the final exam terms...well I haven't even looked to see what I could use and have none in my essay labeled although I more than likely have some in there just in need of labeling.

I am trying to be as creative as I possibly can though this wasn't my original idea. I got the idea from my friend who talked about it with someone else and they decided to not do it as they had their own ideas and typing at that point. I am trying to use analogies the best I can or using in one case instead of the actual drug, I am using a common name that people would call it and using it as an actual person which makes it come alive a little more in my opinion. The composition process has been interesting to say the least as it is writing about two bad habits and associating them together to create a new classification of them. I believe that this is as unique as I can get. The idea isn't necessarily an out of the blue one but it is definitely out there and I feel that I can make it work to make my essay how I want it.

I think that the most demanding requirements for the Classification essay is having to use ten final exam terms and being able to accomplish 5+ pages. I believe that these are the most demanding since you have to go through and double check if you have the ten final exam terms. While checking for ten final exam terms you have to make sure you are looking hard enough and being specific about everything. The hardest part about getting to 5+ pages is finding stuff to say to fill up the empty space. While writing the essay you believe that you have included everything that you can, but then you see that you are not to 5+ pages yet so you have to find more to add.

I am trying to be creative in many ways in my essay. One way I am to be creative is by classifying a cheer team into different parts of a family. You do not realize how much these are alike until you really start to look at both parts and see them match up. I am also trying to be creative in the words that I am using. It is hard to find new words that are outside your normal comfort zone of words that you tend to use on a daily basis. When composing an essay you have to try and use word that help to enhance your essay in new ways. I am having fun getting to write about something that I love and am very passionate about. Being able to write about something you love helps to make the composing easier. I believe that this essay does stand out as my own and no one else's. There is not anyone else who views how a cheer team is like a family like I do; that is what makes this essay unique and my own.

My most demanding requirement is accomplishing five pages. I thought it would be easy but as I keep going it gets harder to find new information and to not repeat everything over again. I have also had trouble with the beginning and concluding paragraphs. This whole essay was harder than I thought it was going to be. I have troubles with being to basic with my classifications. I need to go more in depth about each topic to expand my essay even more. I have not really had any trouble with the terms or vocabulary words but, I have also not included all of them. I may have trouble with a couple and may need help but I will eventually figure them all out and include them all.
I have tried to use humor in my essay to be creative. I have also used only body parts associated with each class to classify who goes to the weight room. I have had fun and giggled to myself about some of my classifications, the flexor digitorum in particular, has been my favorite. I like talking about the different classes in the weight room because there are a lot fo different people. In each group I have someone I loosely base the class on and I have really enjoyed picking each class apart. I think this essay stands out as mine because I go to the weight room almost every day and I see the different classes. This is my essay because I bring my own insight into it and I do not think very many people would pick this essay topic. Therefore there is a higher chance that this is my essay. I really liked doing this essay and I have enjoyed almost every part except the length because I cannot seem to get five pages.

The most difficult and demanding part of my classification essay is meeting the requirement of having my essay be five pages long. This is difficult for me because I do not want to make my essay boring by adding thing into my essay just to make it longer. What I have been doing to prevent this is periodically adding things into my essay. At times, it is hard for me to write for a long period of time. Throughout the day, I think of things that I could possibly add into my essay. I want my essay to flow from sentence to sentence so I need to start my sentences with different things each time. That is also something I struggle with. I do not want my essay to sound choppy so I try to come up with creative ways of structuring a sentence. I have some analogies in my essay and I plan on adding a lot more. I have read through a couple of the example essays and I noticed that they have a strong writing ability and they used a lot of analogies to help strengthen their essays.

While writing my essay, I am trying to be as creative as I have ever been. I chose a topic that I believe nobody else is writing about. My goal is to continue adding details to my paragraphs so it makes my essay more vivid and enjoyable to read. I am having fun while writing this essay. It is making me put my neighbors into the categories that I came up with. I am also thinking about how my neighbors would categorize my family. I think that I am showing my personality and my humor in my essay. It is hard at times to make my essay unique, but I have been trying to think outside of the box to come up with things that will make my essay great.

Going into the Classification Essay I thought five pages would be hard to accomplish. As I started typing I realized that might not be the case. I only have four pages so far but I still have some information that will add to the essay. My plan for the final exam terms is to write the essay then adjust it to include the necessary amount of final exam terms, so I am not sure if this will be difficult or not. I hope it is not and I do not think it will be. At the moment the hardest part about the Classification Essay is not the essay itself but making this(the Classification Essay Requirements Blog Task) three-hundred words. I am finding myself adding information and words to this that are unnecessary and are not adding to the overall quality of the task. I am not making all three-hundred words useful. These last couple sentences is an example of this. I think I could be more creative and use extended analogies. This would add a lot to my essay, but I am not using extended analogies because when I tried to I had trouble having them make sense, and it made my essay confusing and hard to follow. I am not not having fun during this classification essay, but I do not think I would write essays classifying things for fun when I have nothing better to do. This essay stands out as mine because I do not think a lot of people would be able to write about and explain the different types of hitters, because they do not understand it. I am able to because I think I have been around the game long enough and watched enough baseball to understand not all hitters are trying to do the same thing at the plate.

For me the most demanding part of the classification essay was just thinking of a topic to write about. I wasn't every to passionate about what I was classifying even now as we polish up the essays it still doesn't feel like a perfect fit. Not only am a struggling with finding a topic but reaching the five page requirement is proving to be difficult, as I keep struggling to find new ways to expand on my topics without getting repetitive, which can take a lot of time, patience, and can be very tedious at times, but it needs to be done. Another challenge is keeping my voice present throughout the essay, I don't think it always sound like me but I am unsure how to make it mine. There are times when I read it and it just doesn't sound like me but I have no idea how to change it to better fit my voice. The whole thing is rather unusual to me for I feel it should sound like me since I am the one writing it but from time to time I don't think it does, just the way it is worded. That is one of the biggest things I am trying to fix at the moment, I keep going back over it to make sure it sounds just the way I want it to. Even with the challenges I am currently struggling with I do think I am having fun, maybe less so with my own but I do love seeing what everyone else choose to classify as well as reading how they set them up, because a lot of them are really funny and very well written. It gives an interesting insight on to each person as everyone choose a topic that works well for them, or is something they care about and that it comes across really well in their writing, making it all the more enjoyable to read.

Writing the classification essay can be really challenging. Once I came up with a good topic, I started out really well, until I got to page three and I started running out of things to say. I was really struggling to meet the 5 page requirement with only three categories so I had to add another classification to add more pages but I think the final classification fits well with the rest of it, I hope. I have not yet focused a lot on adding the five vocab words but I do not think that it will be too complicated unless I have to read through the whole vocab book to find some that will work. It has been very difficult for me to meet the final exam terms requirement because I am not entirely sure how to use all of those things which makes it difficult to write with. I think I am still just confused on the different sentence variations, and it is difficult for me to write fragments because that just seems wrong. Also, my essay started out really strong but I feel like the quality of my writing started to decrease as I got farther. Because of this, I am planning to go back and edit it a lot to improve the quality throughout the whole essay so it can flow better and more smoothly.
I am really glad that I switched to classifying coffee drinkers instead of coaches like I had originally planned because I think this topic allows me to be more creative. Coaches have already been classified somewhat, not explicitly but it is just a more classifiable category that many people would consider, unlike classifying coffee shop people. In my opinion, this essay does stand out as my own. I used very original categories to explain a visit to a coffee shop. It is slightly over-exaggerated but I think that makes it more fun and exciting for the reader because it keeps them interested.

The most challenging part of the entire essay on classifying something that has not been classified yet is the part where it is required to label the different parts of your essay with the types of sentences and also the identifying the ten different final exam terms. I also believe that trying to come up with my classification was difficult. Even though I am someone who feels very strongly about my topic, I am not that quick to come up with that sort of classification that quickly. I feel that I am being very creative because I have classified something that is near and dear to my heart. Also, I believe that I am being creative because I do not believe that someone has yet classified marching band members in the ways that I have if yet at all. I believe that I am using analogies as the paragraph on the Careless marching band members describes what I think is the typical teenager without a life. In the analogy I describe them as only having joined the marching band world because their mothers were getting frustrated with them only sitting around the house, “eating oreos and watching videos on ‘How To Tame An Elephant In The Middle Of Africa’” and other things like that. I also created a scenario of how the Conscientious member of the marching band is one who is likened to the teacher’s pet of a classroom and always gets everything perfect. I do truly believe that I had fun during this essay process since I was writing about something that just made a lot of sense to me as I was writing. Right when I had figured out my topic of what I was going to write on, I had just ran with it and ended up having a full essay by the time the rough draft was due. I do not doubt that no one else could have written my essay except for myself since it has a lot of my humor and my way that I like to write things in a formal essay. Also, I had my sense of humor infused throughout my essay as I enjoy to write things that way.

The most challenging and demanding part of the classification essay for me are the ten final exam terms and using a variety of sentences. My classification essay is about types of students in school. I am classifying them as the Procrastinator, the Perfectionist, or the Plagiarizer. In my essay I am finding it very hard to come up with different beginnings to my essay. I never realized how much I over-used the same word or how hard it is to come up with a different way of saying something. Realizing this has made me a better writer because it is making my essay and my sentences more creative and less boring and repetitive. To go along with the difficulty of creating unique sentences, the ten final exam terms are very challenging to find or create. My major problem is, I do not fully understand types of sentences like, complex or compound-complex. In the world of writing, I would call myself an average joe writer. My sentences are dull and not complex, compared to other classmates. I have not put my ten final exam terms in my essay yet (or my vocab words), but as I study and become for comfortable with them, I will add them to my essay. The classification essay is surprisingly not too hard or challenging for me to write. I thought it was going to be ridiculously hard to come up with things to classify and compare them too. But as I got to actually typing the essay it all started to flow and come naturally. I am enjoying writing this essay because I chose a topic that was easy and something everyone can relate to. I think my essay stands out as my own because it is my own knowledge of school and the types of classmates around me. My topic is an easy topic for any classmate to write about but without my exact sentence structure and my cleverness, no one would be able to duplicate it.

The most demanding part of writing the classification essay is coming up with stuff to write about without being too repetitive. I have all the information I need/want, but it isn't enough to fill five pages. I am writing about the different types of groups that come into restaurants and how they act in public. I currently have four different groups to classify them into and it is the perfect amount and I said just what I needed to say to get the point across. I have a hard time filling in the gaps because I despise being redundant and I try to say all I need to say in as least words as possible, which is a blessing and a curse. It comes in handy when I am telling a long story and trying to cut it short. It is a curse in situations like these where I need to come up with more to talk about and just can't do it. I still have a lot to do and have been working on it as much as I can. I enjoy writing this after I get started, but coming up with the topic wasn't easy. I hope to finish soon and have a work of art.

Throughout composing my Classification essay, there are some various things that I could improve on. Such might include: using vocabulary words to make my essay sounds smoother along with coming up with enough material to extend my essay to go past the five plus page requirement. Another issue that I am trying to work on is my sentence complexity. The majority of my sentences start with a boring transition and end with my topic. Throughout the rest of my essay, I wish to not use a lot of the boring words and phrases that I have been previously using like “considering”, “due to this” and etc. Using more vocabulary words and varying my sentence structure will hopefully connect my writing better--especially with transitioning from paragraph to paragraph. Doing this will hopefully allow me to successfully use all of the ten final exam terms in my essay. Another aspect that I could improve on would be not repeating myself on what I am trying to say.
As for the creative aspect, I am trying to be more creative in my writing--although it may be unsuccessful at times--I do believe that my classifications of lifeguards are quite unique. During my summers, lifeguarding is something that I enjoy doing. Also, as the only current senior who lifeguards at the local pool, not many people may be able to compare to it which will hopefully make it more of mine and unique on its own. As of right now, I have not used a lot of analogies. I have mostly been classifying the different types of lifeguards and how they react to specific situations. Throughout the composing process, I have started to enjoy it because the length of the essay has required me to dig deeper and come up with new classifications that I had never quite thought of before.

The most demanding requirements of this Classification essay for me would have to be including the ten final exam terms and varying my language and sentences. This essay has provided me with an opportunity to advance my writing ability, by requiring me to look at and see the essay as a whole. It also has forced me to locate the right places to insert more challenging grammatical concepts correctly throughout my work. I have never been too great with grammar, but my abilities are improving because of the work we have to put in involving different concepts. Also, I find myself learning various ways to differ the beginning of my sentences, and their structure as a whole, because I seem to be starting most sentences with the same nouns, or the same pronouns again and again. Essay writing, or any writing in general, has never been a favorite task of mine, and therefore it is not one of my strongest abilities. However, I am working on becoming more creative with my ideas and my use of various concepts, especially with this essay, which involved no research in the beginning, as I was able to choose a topic already that is already completed in my head. Because summer camp is one of my favorite things in the world, I have found some excitement in writing this essay. Though it is not quite near complete, I do believe it is fairly personal to myself, on a topic not many people have as much awareness of. It is a dream of mine to be a camp counselor myself one day, so I find it fascinating explaining the various classifications I will soon be a part of, and as I write I am constantly placing myself in each group, trying to picture how I will react to the same situations in the future.

It’s been two weeks since having many scattered thoughts about the classification essay. I am very happy that I chose a topic I find interest in as well as know quite a bit about through experience. At the end of last week I realized I had not included any vocabulary words in my essay. I am happy that now I have incorporated all five that I need. Because of this I do not think that including five vocabulary words is hard. I completely forgot about including 10 final exam terms in my essay and I actually don’t exactly know what that means. That would lead me to the conclusion that including 10 final exam terms in my essay is the most challenging. A lot of other classmates might say that the 5 page requirement is the most challenging at this point. I do not think that the five pages is going to be a problem for me however. I think that is because I categorized shooters into five groups and I am just finishing up on the paragraph of my last shooter which is on page five. I think that I could use more creativity in my writing. My process in writing was that I made a quick little outline on paper and then went to town with my writing. I think that this will be a fine process if I write the whole thing and then put in time to go back through it and improve my voice, creativity, and look for ways I can improve my overall essay. I am surprised to say that I am actually enjoying writing this essay to a point. I like the topic that I chose to write! Doing this has made writing the essay easier and more enjoyable. I can however say that I have written more enjoyable essays in my time. Reading through my essay I think that I can pick out my voice a little bit. The essay seems to be maybe a little stale and not completely mine though. I intend to change this and hope that by the 30th of September I have improved many things in my essay. Overall I think that my essay is coming together slowly but I still have work to do with the intention of making it the best that I can and focusing mostly on voice, humor, and creativity.

So far for me in the classification essay, the most demanding and difficult objective for me is to include all the 10 final exam terms. It’s not that hard to just throw them in there randomly, but to do it constructively and productively is a bit of a challenge. I want to add them where they would make sense while also adding my own wit to it so no one else could write it but me. I feel as though I am being as creative as I can while classifying types of drivers. I try to add some of my own humor in it to make it my unique, as well as making the essay less formal and more of a joy to read. I have yet to get to the part where I use extended analogies, but I definitely see some potential for some when I get to that point. I have used many short comparisons throughout the essay so far, though. As I am writing and classifying, I am enjoying it. I feel as though I enjoy it a lot better once I start writing. The hard part is to actually get myself to start writing. I procrastinate a lot and it doesn’t help that the deadline is so far down the road. I know that once I start writing, though, I will be able to knock out a large portion due to the fact that it’s hard to stop once I start. My essay could not have been written by anyone else. I made sure to add my own personal thoughts and experiences into it, as well as my own humor. Also, I know everything that I am writing about. I don’t need to do any research, and that makes it a lot easier to make the writing my own.

Right now, I am in the process of finishing up my essay (I have only half a page left) and then I will go back and label some sentence in my essay that are on the final exam. One struggle I have had is trying to use a different variety of sentences. I do not want to bore the reader by having them read the same basic thing every time. I’m also in the predicament of how to finish my essay. I have all the classes done, I just am toying with different ways on how to wrap it up smoothly for the reader to be thinking about it more when they have finished but also tie up some loose ends. I want to create that perfect mix so the conclusion will likely take the longest to write. I also am having trouble with starting too many sentences with “they”. I will probably go back and revise some sentences to fix that problem.

This essay is one of the more fun essays I have ever written, in my opinion. There have not been many struggles with it, as the words come pretty quickly and it is a fun topic to write about. I am writing about the different classification of fishermen: the Extremist, the Error, the Excuse, the Exacerbated, and the Easy-going. I made all the classes start with the letter E to make it an alliteration and fun for the reader. I am also trying to use personal experiences with different types of fishermen to connect with the reader. I’m not outright saying what I’ve experienced, I am just using my past fishing trip as a guide to show others what kinds of fisherman there are. I have been with people who are know-it-alls when fishing, always screw up and make mistakes, always make excuses on everything, get angry easily, or are laid back and just like to chill. I am using that to guide me in my writing and it makes the writing more personal for me and makes it my own writing.

The most demanding requirement for my essay is adding variety and the ten final exam terms. I tend to struggle with adding variety to my essay through analogies, different sentence structures, and with a range of vocabulary words (not just the 5 vocab terms). I have a bad habit of constantly use the same adjectives and verbs, because it is uncomfortable for me to go outside my comfort zone to expand my use of vocabulary. Not to mention different use of punctuation. I tend to use the thesaurus a lot when I am trying to think of different adjectives to use instead of always using “like”, “good”, or “bad”. Writing essays does not come easily to me, at least not as easily as working with Algebra or Trigonometry does. My creativity level is very dull compared to the average high school student. For my essay, I am writing about the typical social media user, and what he/she can be classified as. I chose to write about this because social media is extremely popular from person to person, especially high school students. Whether it is snapchat, facebook, twitter, or instagram, you can count on seeing someone going on it during the school day. I know I am a social media addict, and I am very picky about who I follow on Instagram and twitter. I know what kind of accounts I like to follow, and I do not like to clog up my feed with useless posts from accounts that have no interest to me at all. Writing about this kind of topic can be comical, but because it is a subject that many people know about, it is very difficult to figure out ways to make this essay stand out as mine. I tried to pick a much more creative topic instead, but I couldn't figure out a way to write 5 pages about it. Even though I do not excel in writing essays, I am still enjoying the process of writing this essay as it forces me out of my small comfort zone, and I learn more as well.

I think the most demanding requirement for this Classification essay is including ten final exam terms. It is easy for me to use simple things like hyphens and quotations, but not as easy to label sentence types. It gets confusing labeling compound, complex, and compound-complex, especially when prepositional phrases, adverbs, and other phrases and clauses are added in my paragraphs. I also think it is kind of difficult to accomplish the five pages, but I know throughout the year as I become a better writer, it’ll become easier.
I am being as creative as I possibly can when writing my essay. I am trying to make it feel like the reader is right there with me at the ballpark listening, seeing, and mainly laughing at these crazy softball parents. I have not used any extended analogies, but I know my readers will be entertained once they read my essay. It’s been fun to write about something I’m passionate about, softball, and have some humor in it also. Sometimes I will catch myself laughing as I am writing, because I am playing back memories or picturing something a softball parent has said at my games. I think it’ll be a good read, because many people will relate and recognize each softball parent as they are described by what they say, how they act, and what kind of mood they are typically in. I think my essay will definitely stand out as my own, because so much of my personal experience of many years at the softball diamonds are displayed in my essay. There are exact quotes from parents I hear each week at softball tournaments in the summer or games in the fall. If any of my teammates read my essay, I know they’ll know exactly which parents I am thinking of at each paragraph. I think that’s why I’ve enjoyed writing it so much also.

By far the most demanding part of this essay is the length, using vocabulary words and final exam terms haven't really frustrated me or hindered me in my writing. I get writers block and i can never finish an idea. I find it that the more i try and write the harder it is for me to be creative and adding personal touch to my sentences. Being as i tend to write my essays in as little words as possible and get my point across right away its been a struggle for me to reach three pages. Im not completely sure that ill get to five, i mean i have to to get a good grade but it wont be a very intriguing story. i feel as like i have been creative with my writing that i have so far. my classifying of the hockey players is spot on as they're are defenatly this types of players. i need at least one more player to make my essay five pages but i can not think of a word that for this player that matches what i have already written down. I am using analogies which i find to be funny but other people may not understand them so im trying to find ways to describe my classes and have the reader grasp the full idea im trying to convey. I like this challenge in a fun way to really test my ability to compose an essay. No one could of written the essay i wrote it is very personal and i write in my own personal way.

1HeadrickI think accomplishing the five pages has been the hardest for me. This essay has been hard thinking of good content to put in the essay. I should have started with a title that I really liked and not one that I said “Eh, good enough”. I feel like in really anything that you do if you are excited about doing something, you will excel in whatever that is. I’m not really feeling this essay so it will probably be an average essay, unless I get so inspiration and become jacked about writing this essay. I think of this essay as a quantity vs quality problem. If I have a lot of quantity then the quality might deteriorate as I keep writing this essay. It might become full of fluff that is unneeded and make it a subpar essay. I don’t think I have a problem with using the vocabulary words or varying my sentence structure. I might have a problem in the future including the 10 final terms in the essay. To be honest, I haven’t even looked at what needs to be in it.
I think my initial idea about people being pencils is a creative idea. Then I go on to explain how this pencil person would be in everyday life which backs up the creative idea. I do have a lot of analogies comparing the various people’s mannerisms and clothing. I am currently not really having fun with this essay and dreading writing the final couple of pages. I had more fun writing the letters than this classification essay. That could be because the letters were a lot shorter and there is no sort of “tangible gain” as getting a poster or something back from your letter. I think this essay stands out as mine because I think I have written it in my way of writing.

The most demanding requirement for this classification essay is the creativity required to make it sound interesting. Not only for coming up with categories, but also being able to incorporate vocab words. At some point, I had to rewrite a few sentences to get the vocab words to work in the sentence structure. I used the word brackish to describe salt-water, but trying to find a place for atrophied required more creativity.

Not only did I use creativity for incorporating vocab words, but I also used it to come up with the title. At first, I was going to simply title the essay “Pet Store Customer Classification”, but I later realized that I could do better. The reason I chose the title “Woofs and Waves: Say Hello to my Little Friend” was for a couple of reasons. First, Woofs and Waves is the name of the store I work at. Second, I used a play on words. Waves is meant as the waves in a body of water (Woofs and Waves mostly sells fish), but in this instance, the word waves is being used as the action you do when saying hello nonverbally. Also, the “little friend” mentioned in the famous quote is, in this case, referring to a pet or small animal. Coming up with that title required quite a bit of creativity. That is why this essay stands out as mine. Perhaps someone else could have written about this topic, but I am the only one who came up with the title.

My favorite part of writing this essay is that when I go to work, I become more aware of different customers’ personalities and demeanors. Just the other day I classified seven Dogs, two Cats, a couple of Fish, and at least one Rabbit. I am enjoying writing this essay.

I decided to write my classification essay about different types of readers and how it helps you understand the person. I feel that one of the more difficult part of this essay was keeping myself from starting sentences with "they" and "them" as it was extremely tempting. This was difficult because my groupings already have their title--for example: the Trends-- it is hard to refer to that group without saying "they" or "them". Sentence construction in general were very difficult for me to accomplish. Having to move around my subjects, prepositional phrases, and such made things more complicated than I thought, but It makes the essay look pretty nice. I also had trouble with having all my groupings blend together. Seeing that the groupings had almost nothing in common, but I found similarities with some help and now the essay looks a lot better. I have also had trouble with putting my true voice into this essay. Reading is something I am passionate about, but it is, for some unexplainable reason, very hard to make this essay sound like I am talking about reading methods and how they relate to people. I am hoping after I go over the essay a few times I will be able to find where I can put creative humor in and some more wonderful comparisons and metaphors.
In this essay, I feel like I could be more creative than what I am doing now. Luckily, I have not finished so there is plenty of room for change. I like all my groupings but I think I could give them better names that maybe rhymed, create an acronym, or have alliteration. Once again, this essay does not feel like my own. It feels like a very dull person. I always love to write so it has been fun to get ideas onto a page but I feel like this essay needs more of my wit and creativity than what I have been giving it.

For me, the most demanding requirement for the classification essay is the five pages. This is difficult for me because I have never had to write an essay that long. Procrastination is a large weakness of mine, which is another reason why reaching five pages will be difficult to achieve without large amounts of stress and cramming. It probably helps that my topic, music artists, fits me very well. I myself am a musical artist, so this suits my personality and lifestyle. I feel that once I sit down and focus on writing my essay, it will not be as hard as I am thinking it will be. Composing an essay is sort of like writing lyrics to a song or rap. I think using the required amount of vocabulary words and final exam terms will also be difficult. My tactic will be to go back through my essay when I am finished and add in the words wherever they fit. Seeing as i have already written three pages and have not used a single term or vocab word, I think that will be my best option. I have been writing almost daily for about two years now, whether it be songs, raps, or essay assignments, so I feel this whole course overall will be quite enjoyable for me.

I believe the easiest part of this classification essay for me will be using descriptive words/adverbs. I plan to go through my essay after I have written the required five pages and sort of proof read to add better descriptive words and adverbs wherever needed. I feel I am pretty average at using the right descriptive words. I feel that this essay definitely suits me and who I am. For anyone that knows me, music is my life, so it makes sense that I am writing my essay about that.

For me, the concrete requirements of the essay are not that difficult. I have a well laid out structure that will easily reach 5 pages, and varying my sentence styles to maximize interest has always been one of my strong points. Vocabulary terms are especially easy to incorporate into my essay; when I wish to have a more exciting sentence, I will often google synonyms for a word in my essay and pick one that I can both understand and appreciate. For example, I just looked up synonyms for “like” to make a stronger sentence, eventually deciding upon appreciate. It is a simple change to look in my vocab book for synonyms rather than an online thesaurus. The most difficult part of the essay, in my opinion, is finding the motivation to write my thoughts down. The abstract goals of the essay have been slightly more challenging for me. I struggled for awhile on finding the right metaphor, but one soon lept into my mind. My comparison of stress management and volcanoes draws psychological concepts into a relationship with hard science. As I sometimes struggle with my time and stress management (mentioned previously in my lack of motivation), this is a topic I can draw personal experience to. However, inserting my own voice into the essay is proving quite challenging. My personal experience seems to be eclipsed by my analytical mindset. When I compose an essay, especially about scientific topics, I tend to be very analytical. While this can provide interesting food for thought, a purely analytical piece does not entertain its consumers as easily. My peer editors have all noted my analysis is overly dry and scientific rather than lending my personal experience to explain my metaphor. As I continue to write this piece, I hope to overcome this obstacle and make a strong argument that is both analytic and personal.

Composing the classification essay takes a decent amount of creative ability, at least in my eyes. Composing something of this length only with your creative ability not with any research of any kind. This I think is the hardest part of the essay is composing something that reaches the length requirement of five pages, because of the fact that there is no extra pieces to be added other than what you can put together from your knowledge. With that said, I believe that I am doing a fairly good job at composing my essay. Also, I have not exactly used vocab words or any final exam terms that much because when I started composing I just kept going without thinking, but I will obviously work on it more as I polish up my essay.

Before I started composing my essay, I knew that writing about something I am involved in almost everyday would make the process of composing my essay so much easier and even more fun. Therefore, I would have to say that I am truly enjoying the composing process for this essay because I chose to write about soccer, something I enjoy very much. I have had fun composing some of my individual classification because I based most of them off of people that are on my team so that has given me inspiration. If I was not writing about something I enjoyed I would definitely have a much harder time composing my essay. My essay, in my eyes, stands out as clearly mine; the way I composed my classifications showed that I had an understanding of soccer.

I think there are a lot of different parts of the Classification essay that make it difficult. With so many different requirements, it can be overwhelming to include all of the aspects such as the vocab words and final exam terms into one essay. Another hard part of it is that is is a long(ish) essay but the content in it has to come from your own mind. I find this very challenging because it is hard to be a “true expert” on something but to also not be able to research a topic while writing thoroughly about it and including many details. Likewise, I am having a hard time making the essay significantly longer than it originally was. My essay initially, was about three and a half pages long and it has been hard for me to add to each individual paragraph without being redundant. I think this essay has actually been very interesting to compose because it makes you actually get pretty deep into thought about what you are writing about. Also, it is fun to classify something in hopefully an original way. For my essay I have included some analogies but I would still like to have some more analogies that go into a little more depth because I think that it could add a lot to my essay and make it more interesting for the reader. I hope that my essay turns out to be original and I also hope that I create an essay that seems like it is my own voice. I think this is a fun process because we are given time in class but we are also able to write while at home and I have found that when I have gone home and sat down for a couple of hours to just strictly compose, a lot of ideas have come to mind.

The classification essay is the actual first essay in composition, at least in my eyes. One of the most difficult things about this essay is just reaching 5 pages. It is hard to write 5 pages over something that is forced upon you and that you feel no passion for. Why would I try to reclassify something unless there is a major need to reclassify it. I am classifying people into different intelligence levels. Classifying people is something that can be brutally honest and I’m trying to add in some humor but it is difficult. I have yet to add any vocab words or use the final exam terms. The vocab words will be annoying as I am planning to wait till I write all 5 pages, and try to rewrite or add in sentences to include the vocab terms. To classify something for an essay is also such a weird topic to write about. I feel that I am being somewhat creative in that I am naming the people, not just comparing them to something lame like animals. All the categories even rhyme with each other which is a nice addition. I am not using any extended analogies, I am just linking words with the people. The word is nothing complex but instead either an analogy or a summary of the people. These people have their genetics, background, desires, and education level. I am not that good at english class especially essays, so I am not having fun doing the composition process. I think that this essay can stand out as mine, but as of now it probably doesn’t with how negative it is. After the 5 pages are typed and I have revised it, hopefully I will have added in humor to make it a little bit more mine.

The most demanding requirements for this Classification essay is trying to accomplish five pages worth of entertainment and information. It is hard for me to stay attached to a subject I created for five pages and still have it be interesting for a reader. I was scraping at the bottom of the barrel when I started this essay while I still need to crank out two more pages and I’ve hit a wall with the ideas I need to complete the paper in an intriguing way that will hopefully capture any reader's attention. I may have siblings but I don’t enjoy interacting with them on a daily basis thus my know-how on these things is little. My only hope is that it will turn out as at least material that is worth a B on a grading scale. I feel as if I am being fairly creative while writing this paper. I don’t think many people would even try to classify siblings. It was fun at first writing about things that I’ve experienced as well as what other people have as well, but it has been getting much harder for me to make it fun and informative. Hopefully I will get some ideas soon but comparing sibling to animals is easy for the most part, but the way I have been giving examples of something someone in one of the categories, (Grizzlies, Howlers, Platypodes) would do in real life most definitely adds to the paper’s creativity. I’ve put a lot of attitude into my essay so far and a reader could definitely tell that I wrote it if they know me or have read some past writings. All of the critics that my paper has gotten so far have said that there is a very clear voice and that It has spunk.

The most demanding and challenging requirement would be the creativity aspect of this essay. I, personally, am not very creative so I lacked in the analogy and metaphor aspect of my paper. I couldn’t think of a metaphor that is creative and unique, without it being used by someone else. Also, the completion of the five pages is very intimidating. From picking and explaining each category, to having the necessary material to cover each category. The initial choosing a topic was difficult. I didn’t know exactly what I could write about. I was in the fence on writing about soccer players and the possible classifications they have or the classification of teachers. The classification of teachers seemed easier and more efficient for five pages. I used a more direct approach and listed the faults, the benefits, and my own experiences with the specific type of teacher. The using vocabulary words and including ten final exam terms wasn’t difficult at all. I usually write in a variety of sentences from simple to compound complex so that really wasn’t an issue. The five vocabulary words are very easy to incorporate into my essay as I can change any dull word into any vocabulary word.
I’m on my fourth page of my essay, and I am not really having fun with my essay. I personally feel like my essay is good in content, but again I feel like it could be more creative. I was reading my peers essays and they have many metaphors and analogies in which I lack. They have great voice in their papers and it helps understand each classification better.

The hardest thing about writing this essay is trying to come up with stories… I have tons but it is one of those things where you can’t think of it when you actually need it. I have stories for each of these classifications, because each of them are based on real people, so it should be easy to write. I haven’t really tried to incorporate vocabulary words, or the ten final exam words yet, but I am pretty sure that I use a lot of those writing strategies already, so it shouldn’t be to hard when I get around to it! It helps that I know a lot about hockey, and that my teammates provide good character for me to use in my writings, as their personalities and traits I find working into everything in my life. This makes it hard to get to five pages as well. I think I am being decently creative, I tried to make up some analogies that make sense. I was struggling to come up with some, plus adding some of them adds more length. I am having a lot of fun writing this essay though because it is about something that I do all the time. If I had to write a random essay about classification then it would probably be a lot harder. I think this essay really stands out as mine, because of the humor that is in it, along with the topic. While their are other girls that could right a girls hockey essay, I am the only one that could write it this classification essay. It is entirely mine and that is what makes it different. Other essays could classify players differently based on their own team dynamic. No one else’s team is like mine, so there for no one else can write stories like I can.

The most demanding and challenging part of this essay is trying to convey all the stories that I want to write about. It has always just been challenging for me to express my thoughts into my writing. Such as the stories I have from the daycare I had to try and think of the best ways to write out said stories. Also, I think that being creative in the beginning of the sentence is hard for me. Such as not using the subject as the first word in the sentence all the time. From this composition essay I’m learning and trying to delay my subjects for most of my sentences. I hope that I’m doing enough of this throughout my essay as I’m trying my best. Through trying to be the as creative as I can I couldn’t come up with a good enough analogy to use that I thought I could write about for five plus pages. It was fun to write but also challenging at times when I lost my train of thought for my essay or got stuck on how best to state certain points in my essay. I feel like my essay really stands out as my work because not very many people can say they have been at a daycare most of their lives; I went to a daycare as a kid until fourth grade when I went to an after-school program at the school that was like daycare. Once I got to middle school I got my break from the daycare until I accepted a job at Building Blocks Child Care and Learning Center in the ninth grade. I have been working at Building Blocks since ninth grade and am currently still working there. I’m hoping that through all the daycare types of kids I have seen over my life that I convey it into my essay and that it flows smoothly from paragraph to paragraph.

The most demanding and challenging part of this essay is to have an exciting and original tone while making it purposeful for the prompt and class. I like to put my own twist on things but I tend to get very off topic and distracted very easily so when writing a specific thing it is hard for me to focus on that while keeping some originality. On the total flip side I am also very uncreative with things so I look for guidance with things which tends to take away from the creativeness and originality on my own part. During this grueling process of writing this essay I am learning new words to broaden my very minimal vocabulary and I am learning how to expand on what I am writing. This essay is something new that I haven’t had to do before and it has definitely made me think a little harder on how I write and what the heck I’m supposed to write about.
Honestly I could have been a little more creative but I knew I wanted to write about books or writing so coming up with something that hasn’t been created was hard causing it to be harder to write so much. I think the comparison I used was new and I was sort of like a double comparison as I classified personalities and how fast you read and then combined it into one classification. I did think that writing this essay was a bit fun when I really got into it and taught people while I learned myself. What wasn’t fun was at the beginning when I had no idea what to write and where I am right now with trying to figure out how to end my paper. I am hoping it stands out as mine as not many people are huge readers and don’t really pay attention to the readers around them and how they function on the daily.

The most demanding part or the essay to be is trying not to be original and I think it is hard to make my essay stand out compared to others, but I think I am doing a decent job. I also think that is is very important to have all the 10 final exam terms within the essay because I feel like that will be a lot of points out of the essay. I think it is challenging to also make the essay five pages, it is hard to go off of some topics, that is what I think is the hardest part.

I feel like this is one of my most creative papers that I have ever wrote, however I have struggles finding different ways to start my sentences instead of always using the subject. It was very fun to come up with your own classifications for something but it was hard to lengthen the topics. It took me forever to come up with something to classify but I finally figured it out and it was actually very fun to write, I don't like that we have to have the 10 final exam terms because I would rather focus on making my essay better by looking through it for errors instead of looking through my essay for compound, complex, compound - complex sentences etc. I think mine flows from paragraph to paragraph very well and I do not think mine is choppy. I also feel that my vocabulary is good as well. I hope mine stands out to others as I have spent a lot of time and thought into this classification essay.

In my opinion, the most demanding requirement for the Classification essay is accomplishing five or more pages. The problem I am running into is redundancy; it is exceedingly hard for me to creatively describe my classes without saying the same thing over and over again. However, I am gradually adding details and length and should be able to meet the length requirement relatively easily. The other requirements for this essay I found to be very easy; I wrote with enough sentence variety in my rough draft to find all of the final exam terms, and it was actually fun to add vocab words that I wouldn’t normally use to the essay--some of the words are normally not used in day-to-day high school conversation, so they sound almost comical when used in real life.
I do not personally think I am being very creative and will try hard to make it so. I had a great deal of trouble coming up with a classification system when this essay was first assigned, so when I finally began work on my rough draft, I was more worried about applying the classification system and making sure it made sense in practice. This caused my essay suffer in both my personal voice--I think it sounds rather generic--and in the creative department. However, with some of the comments from our forums, I have some ideas to add voice and some creative imagery to my essay simultaneously. Voice especially will be the hard part for me; one of the comments said that it might help add personality if I used more sailing terms, but I don’t want to go overboard (haha) and make my essay unreadable to people who may be unfamiliar with that vocabulary. Simple terms should be useable, though, and will help make my essay stand out. Despite my challenges creatively, I am still having fun working on my essay and hopefully will have a product to be proud of by Friday.

I would say the most difficult part of the classification essays is reaching the 5 pages because you might run out of stuff to write about halfway down fourth page. I have been able to work on getting the vocabulary and the final exam terms into my essay with some difficulty but not as much as I have with thinking of material to put into my essay to help make it sound like my own and make the length of the essay reach the five page minimum. I believe that I could be a little more creative about my writing in order to show the true meaning behind my classifications. I have tried to come up with more details about them and about how they react to certain situations. Although I have struggled to get this I have had fun writing this essay because I am trying to find out which category I fit into and I found out that I fit in with a little bit of all of them. I have learned that I have things in common with every category in my essay. I want to try to use more analogies that will call for more explanation in order to reach the five pages and to make the essay seem like it could only be written by me and not anyone else. I also want to do this because it will cause me to be more creative on what I write about and help the readers understand the classes that I have created. Hoping that the reader will be able to fit themselves into one of my categories even if the do not play sports is a huge goal that I have set while writing this essay. I am continuing to work on and improve my essay to include more and more literary devices to achieve the goals I have set for this essay.

The classification essay brought me into a new frame of thinking and was very demanding in my opinion. In my essay the most demanding part was reaching five pages. My topic was the crowd at specifically horror movies. This task was difficult because there is not a broad range of details to describe each type, this helped me to think more creatively and create a visual of everything I am talking about. In addition I struggled to place the vocabulary words in my essay. I typed my essay first and then proceeded to replace words with ten vocabulary words and this was more of a challenge than I had previously imagined. Not everything you type will perfectly fit one of the vocabulary words. A better way to accomplish this task would have been to place the words in my essay as I went along. All in all I have been successful in my essay it has just been more demanding in certain areas. I think that my essay is very creative and describes groups from a category that most people would not have thought of. I have not used any extended analogies in my essay. I am having a lot of fun with the composition process in this essay it is very fun to imagine all the different types of reactions people have to horror movies. I love horror movies so this topic brings me enjoyment which carries over into my writing. This essay has helped me to think more creatively and work towards having a very unique essay compared to the rest of the class. This essay sounds as though I composed it the words are unique specifically to me and no one else could have written it the same way. I have enjoyed writing this essay and believe it has helped me to write more creatively and worked on my visual details.

The most demanding requirement for the Classification essay by far was getting to the minimum of 5 pages. I had to create another paragraph just so I could reach 5 pages, otherwise my other paragraphs would sound redundant and unnecessary. Another demanding requirement that I struggled with was being creative and using different vocabulary to spice up my essay. I classified different types of workers that I come across with every time I work. I classified them into The Sloth, The Sycophant, and The Shyguy. For me I tried making my essay as vivid and interesting as I possible could. I wanted the readers to truly get a feel for where I was coming from and to be able to relate to this topic. I tried to give various examples into why the classifications where what they are by giving characteristics, scenarios, and their behaviors. Re-reading my essay numerous times I felt that my characters were very unique in each of their own ways, while making them creative. All three of these classifications were truly diverse. I liked that I was giving a broad approach so I could pick what I wanted to write about without looking up information. This gave me endless ideas for mind to ponder about. I liked not having a tons of requirements and that gave me my creativity to do what I wanted to do. I believe that if I was demanded to write an essay about a topic that I really don’t care about, my essay wouldn’t have turned out nearly as awesome as it did. Looking back I think my essay does stand out as my writing and no others. I did of course look at previous examples of essays from years before, but I tried to make this into my own words. I had a lot of fun writing this essay, and I strongly think that this essay has improved my writing for future essays in this class.

Potentially the most difficult part about my essay in particular is creating relevant classifications, and after having developed them, creating an apt description and suitably "covering all my bases." It's difficult to ensure that I'm demonstrating every (within reason) possible option when it comes to the subject of my essay. It is also, in my opinion, quite difficult to fit in all the necessities, as instead of trying to write my essay around them, I wrote my essay and am now attempting to fit the terms into the appropriate position. In hindsight it may have been more efficient to work and manipulate my essay around these terms that are required, but at this point my significant lack of motivation compels to do the opposite, and haphazardly (a word which I use loosely in this context) throw vocabulary and final exam terms into my essay.

I believe that in my essay I have managed to define an original/semi-original topic, and a classification system to support it. I’m modestly proud of my creativity-- as much as one can be. My analogies are quite extensive, the longest so far comprising an entire page and more of material; not that length makes the paper, but so far it has been an extensive process, with more to come. I’m writing in my own tone of voice, as I do, attempting to avoid cliche phrases and shortcuts as much as humanly possible (irony: that’s a cliche), but have had little interaction with other’s essays to discern any similarity in our language or style of writing. Still, I write what comes to me, working out of my inspiration and avoiding the works of others so that my essay is truly original to my eyes, as every piece of art should be, whether it be great or lackluster.

I think that the hardest requirement of the classification essay is getting to a full five pages. I think this because it is hard to find words to use without feeling like you have used them too often already. It is also difficult to cover each classification without having a lot of similarities between classifications. An example from my essay is fish, which I have in a category called the Soaked, but I also have a category labeled the Scaled, which also describes fish. That will be one thing that is included in the paragraph that details the faults of my classifications. So far I have not included any vocabulary or final exam terms in my essay, but I planned on just going back and adding them in later.

In my essay I do not believe i am being overly creative, but I am just saying things people may have already known, but not really thought of. I think that my essay could stand to have a little more creativity than I have put into it so far. I have used some analogies but I am not sure if any were long enough to be considered extended analogies. I do not really enjoy writing so the composition process has not proved to be a very fun one, but it is not as much of a chore to do as other writing assignments have been in previous classes. I am trying to write things as I think I would say them, so it is in my tone of voice. However, it may be that if someone were trying to emulate my writing style it would not prove to be very difficult for them, so I may have to personalize it a little more.

As I work on the assignment, I think most demanding requirements for the classification would have to be the need to accomplish five plus pages and embedding vocabulary words into the essay. I think most of my classmates are struggling with the five page requirement as well. In all my years of school I think this is the longest page requirement of a paper I have ever had, at least so far. The real struggle for me when it comes to write multi-page essays is that when I write I like to get straight to the point and never go into great detail or use many descriptive words with any of my sentences. I am also having difficulty because I am classifying the types of girls in high school and it is hard to be very specific or use examples from my experiences without my words possibly offending someone. Using vocabulary terms are also difficult to do because of the complexity of the words I might have to use I fear that it will not sound like me and stray from the main voice of the essay. I believe I am being fairly creative when writing my essay. I do not believe that my topic is very original and my categories are pretty stereotypical but I think the way that I am describing them could be considered unique. Everyone has their own views and opinions. I don’t think my essay could be written by anyone else because no one would share the same opinion and share the same views on the types as I do. No one would write it the same way, and the essay would not have the same character if someone else wrote it. I think I am enjoying writing this assignment more than I would usually would because I am so familiar with the topic. That said, I much rather would be doing just about anything else besides writing and reanalyzing my work over and over again.

I would have to say that the most demanding requirements in the Classification Essay (even though the essay is challenging in itself because anything worth doing is going to be a little challenging) would have to be including the ten final exam terms, but at the same time reaching the five page minimum is a very big struggle for me as well, not only on this essay but in every paper that I have wrote before, simply because I run out of ideas and and grasping for straws once I get to a certain point. I may have also took too long of a break between writing the three unpolished pages and trying to finish the essay so it’s not flowing as well as it should be and it leaves me rushing to meet the deadline. It is difficult to include the ten final exam terms because I am not as familiar with it as I should or could be but it helps me get familiar with the different types of sentences that we are trying to learn. I am trying to be creative in my writing but may be lacking in some places because my focus is not completely on the essay as it should be, but it is something that I definitely can improve on. I was having fun when I was trying to describe my categories but now that I am just trying to extend my essay and reach a goal it is not as enjoyable, especially since majority of the people I have talked to about it have already met the essays requirements and are considering starting the next one. I would say that the essay is completely mine and has my own twist to it. Anybody that knows me well would recognize my tone, vocabulary, and humor.

I think that the most demanding part of the classification essay for me has been trying to work in the literary terms and really trying to make the writing sound good to my head. The terms are a bit of an interesting thing, as they aren’t something that I would have tried to apply before I was in this class. It provides a challenge, but a welcome one that I’m happy to try and meet. The hardest part is probably writing without trying to include the vocab words and literary terms before hand and trying to work them in later. Learning from this, I’ll probably try harder to get all of those things in while I write next time instead of trying to rewrite sentences and add or replace words with vocab words. I feel that my essay is pretty creative, given the topic of it. I have doubts that many, if any, people are doing one that is very similar. My classification is over the different types of gamers and how their personality affects the way they play, and vice versa. I hadn’t used any really extended analogies, they’re all rather simple and easy to understand. This essay is a lot of fun for me because it’s something I’m well versed in and is definitely an interest of mine. Sometimes, the things you write aren’t something you care about and you just write, but topics like this are much more enjoyable to compose about. I feel that my essay really feels like mine. I have a rather unique thought process and think that carries over to my writing and my styling of sentences and content. I don’t think anyone would have been able to come up with my essay, aside from maybe the classifications if they really spent time on it. Other than that, this is a fun essay and I’m really enjoying it. After I overcame my writer's block, the words flew onto the page in just a matter of a couple of days. I’m really enjoying this one for sure!

While writing this Classification essay, I haven't found too many of the requirements to be overly demanding to meet. It is more so planning the placement within the essay to put the requirements that brings up the difficulties. When I write, it tends to be in an ordered flow of events or scenarios, transitioning from one topic to another. It is sometimes hard to find a place to put vocabulary words and final exam terms if they don't necessarily flow the same with the rest of the writing. Being able to reach five pages I don’t really think will be too much of an issue.

When initially deciding my topic, I was trying to be as creative as I could in coming up with classifications that were both unique and yet at the same time relatable. By making each classification something new and unique, it adds to interest to the overall essay and makes it more enjoyable to read. By adding factors that people can relate to within the essay, it gives the reader things to either agree or disagree with based on their own experiences, which is always something neat to encounter in a piece of writing. I have actually had quite a bit of fun composing this essay. My topic is about the types of moviegoers you will find when attending a movie at the movie theater. This topic is fun for a variety of reasons, such as there is such a wide area of people to work with. Almost everyone has been to the movies at some time or another and it is doubtful that anyone will encounter the same stranger twice. It can make for some interesting tales just sitting and observing the others that one may share the theater with on any given day. This essay stands out as my own because many of the examples and scenarios brought up in my essay were observed by either myself or a close family member or friend. Many of the classifications described show not only evidence to support each person as being a part of a certain classification, but also, these descriptions stem from many of my own observations while at the movie theater.
